Strongly recommend this restaurant for Richmond residents to have French dinner in Richmond, BC.
I was there for Valentine’s dinner. The lady server was very nice. We ordered set dinner. The appetizers were great. For main course, I ordered the striploin steak and my boyfriend ordered the sea bass. Mine was a bit chewy but the sauce was good. The sea bass was disappointing. It was chewy and not fresh. When we told another server, he came back and told us there was nothing wrong with the dish. We talked to the lady server and she replaced us with the pasta with extra truffle on top. It was really good. We are very pleased with the service of this lady server.
Awesome meal at Richmond's best fine dining spot. Perfectly prepared French bistro cuisine in a beautiful room with excellent service. Not cheap but not over-priced. Outstanding wine list. Definitely the place to go if you are looking for downtown quality without having to go out of Richmond.
We booked in Origo for Valentine's Night dinner. I was a bit late in making the reservation and were left with the bar-seating. Origo is not a large restaurant (seating capacity of about 40).
When we arrived, we were promptly and pleasantly greeted and were seated at the bar. The ambience was a bit too bright for my liking but was told later that because of "Valentine's day", the brightness was turned up to accommodate the requests of patrons who want to take photos.
Origo has a good wine selection. We only had a glass of pinot noir since we did not think we will stay long due to the seats at the bar were not the most comfortable seating arrangement.
We ordered the Table d'Hote. The food was great and of decent portion (with the exception of sea bass - a bit too small). However, the chocolate cake and the unconventional crème brulee left us full at the end.
The service was good. Overall, we had a great evening. We will return to the restaurant - perhaps not seating at the bar - and sample the regular menu at a later date.
I enjoyed a truly special dinner at Origo. The sultry music, refined space, and gracious staff members create an atmosphere of elegance and intimate comfort. As expected of modern French cuisine, it is an expensive restaurant, but the high quality ingredients and expert execution make for an evening of absolute enjoyment in every bite (and sip) - an evening well worth the indulgence for a true foodie, a romantic date night, or a special treat. I enjoyed every single moment of the evening, from the kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff, to every plate (scraped clean, every bite delicious!), and a lovely glass of wine selected with the help of the Sommelier. As hard as it was to choose, my favourites of the night were the beef tartare (the seasoning is perfection, with the salted egg yolk the perfect finishing touch), the confit duck (the flavours of the sausage and white beans paired so well), and the espresso creme brûlée (the lacey brandy snap tuile and condensed milk ice cream make for a lovely presentation, and fun eating experience). The Russian Earl Grey was also a lovely tea to finish with!
I highly recommend checking out this restaurant for a delicious evening of indulgence for all your senses. Thank you, Origo team, for a wonderful night!
The host didn't leave a great impression (limited knowledge), however everything outside of that was amazing. Fantastic food and drink.
Went for a high tea and one of the best that I’ve tried! Will definitely go again!
Excellent dining experience. Limited menu makes for exceptional dishes. If you like French wines this is the place. Let Michel help with your choice.
Food is nice on presentation and taste, service is attentive
Worth to come again ! Nice environment and beautiful food ! Price wise!
As usual it was a lovely experience.... why to gonDowntown Vancouver when you have such great culinary experience around the corner? Services’ was not As good as other weekdays/ no special time of year occasion.
The food was beautiful, expertly executed. I would just question the sizing of dishes ..... I had the loup de met ( sea bass) ; my husband had the porc loin. My portion was small ( about 125gr of fish) my husband pork loin was about 350 grams, plus a lot more vegetables than The fish dish. Don’t get me wrong, I was happy with my portion, but at serving time, we( husband and I) were comparing dishes sizes!!!! I ended helping hubby to finish his plate. We followed the main with 2 cheese platers ( 1 each) the plates were too generously served. Too many biscuits , too much cheese ( 3 types) . I would suggest that Origo look at the portioning issues and amend the dishes : my fish size could have. Even a little bit bigger, with more vegetables, the pork dish could have been smaller. The cheese platter could be also revised : maybe 4 cheese types, smaller portion ( 1oz each) and less crackers. But all in all good evening.
Everything was amazing!
What a hidden gem in a quiet corner in Richmond! We had an amazing meal and can't wait to return. Thanks for taking good care of us Jack and others <3
Very tasty and quality food, excellent service. It's pricey but worth it.
I took my wife to Orgio Club for our anniversary, and it was our first time there. The ambience, the service and the food made it a special evening for my wife. We received top notch service. The servers were friendly and humorous; they took the time to explain the items on the menu as well as the savory desserts that were displayed behind the glass windows. We ordered the scallops and the beef tartar as the starters, the truffle gnocchi and striploin steak as entries, and the espresso creme brulee and pistachios cheesecake as dessert. They were superb!
Finally, a first rate French restaurant comes to Richmond! All your favourite dishes are here. All the meals we tried were excellent. From the gin and tomato soup to the Duck confit, loup de mer and on to the delicious Pâtisseries, the food was wonderful. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. The room is beautiful and quite quiet. An outstanding wine list rounds out the experience nicely. Definitely worth a visit.
I have heard and read about Origo Club for a while before I had the chance to try this restaurant myself, which I did on Nov 2nd 2019. The parking is convenient as the Restaurant has a couple of assigned parking stalls inside the building, plus customers could park anywhere in the visitor stalls, free of charge. The food is excellent, especially the scallop for appetizer, fish for main course, and assorted cheese for dessert. Take the set menu of $65/person, it really worth the deal, as you will get an appetizer, main course, and dessert, all of your own choice. The friendly staffs and manager will patiently explain the menu to you and answer any questions you raised. Origo Club has indeed an excellent reputation it earned. It is a bit pricey but you will get what you paid for.
Espresso creme brûlée, scallops, beef tartare, and gnocchi a la truffle were out of this world!
Beautiful, elegant and fresh new restsurant. Food was delicious and exquisite food presentation.
Impressive beef tartar they made.
A very nice and relax place for a quiet gathering of friends. The food is amazing and is delicately prepared with heart and respect. Definitely will go again.
Excellent experience. Ambience, decor was perfect. Same with the food and service. No complaints and will definitely return!
A fantastic new find for great French food! Loved the food, service and ambience. Comparable or better than downtown restaurants. Definitely worth the drive to Richmond.
Food is so good, also the service
Honestly I wasn’t expecting much but once I got there we were amazed. Michel came and greeted us and took us to our table immediately and gave us an amazing customer service, food was delicious. Please it’s a must try restaurant.
Amazing! Previously went for the dinner experience (which was phenomenal) and this afternoon tea definitely exceeded my expectations!
Nice ambiance，afternoon tea desserts was not bad
Excellent food, ambience and service. Perfect place to stop by for dinner before going to YVR.
Nice ambiance，the wine list is extensive
Fine foods, service and ambience ideal for dates and classy get together. Expect to pay about 80-100 dollars per person
Our server was incredibly charming and suggested a wine pairing within my price point. The food was amazing! I got to try escargot, pork, and gnocchi and it was all delicious.
1st class service, by the manager, I think?
We had the foie gras and oysters to start, followed by fish and beef, all excellent.
A little out of the way, however worth the trip.
They read and acted upon the open table special request for a specific cocktail.
The place is good and quiet, great service and delicious food! 👍👍👍
Warm and knowledgeable service with excellent quality food, lovely presentation. What's not to like?!
A fantastic experience ,please do not tell too many people as it is truly a nice quiet getaway and we were treated like family.
The afternoon tea was perfect. Delicious and fitted perfectly with my tea choice. Atmosphere is quiet, relaxing, and elegant. Absolutely lovely.
One waitress is not very friendly, she’s not even has a smile on her face.
Food was very slow this evening. Service was friendly but for price level of restaurant expected higher level. Server acknowledged food was slow and offered two complimentary desserts as a goodwill gesture. Not happy they still charged automatic 18% gratuity. I’m not sure I would recommend this restaurant after this experience.
Went with our kids and had a lovely experience. Good food!
Nice interior design
