We'd tried the 3 course menu first night, It was fairly good. Service was good and every course was served in a reasonable time. We tried the Chef's menu (5 courses) second night and had expected special dining experience. Unfortunately, The courses served were on the 3 course menu that we'd tried last night. That's unexpected and we felt the chef's menu was misleading. The price for the Chef's menu is 30% more than the 3 course menu that is not worth it. I suggest to rename Chef's menu to 5 course menu to avoid misleading.

This place tries too hard to be upscale to the point where it’s overdone. Prices are high. There was a service staffing issue when we went and eventually was resolved.

We very much enjoyed our visit. Our server, Kiran is a true professional at his craft and really enhanced our visit. His knowledge, demeanor and attitude made for a truly excellent dinner. Awesome menu with a great variety of choices. Cocktail menu is great too. Service was professional and very friendly. A million dollar view of the mountain range and lake from ORSO windows. An excellent restaurant experience. Price is great too. $79 for 3 course dinner. Best value in Jasper!

The Veal Cheek was so tender I cut it with a butter knife, and so juicy, each bite just melted in my mouth. The sweetbread (was not organ meat), was so good I wished there was more! Their complimentary bread was delicious too and I normally don't eat the complimentary breads at restaurants, so I don't fill up on it. Presentation of each dish made it all the more appetizing. I'd go back!

I have to eat gluten free and the restaurant staff were very knowledgeable and I was able to choose almost anything on the menu without fear of gluten or even cross contamination in the kitchen.

Great first experience at this restaurant. The set three course menu was a surprise. I guess I hadn’t read that part. However the dishes we chose were excellent. Squash ravioli starter was such a great combination of flavours. Rack of lamb superb. Service with Kieran made the evening very enjoyable. He was knowledgeable in both the food and wine selection. Would recommend. View was also amazing.

Let hostess know that i had an allergy to onions but nothing was followed up so had to wait for someone in the kitchen to come out to let me know what had onions. Cool that all the food was set in individual portions but it was luke warm. It was a nice experience but for the price we were paying was a little disappointed

Was exactly how we wished it to be. Our server Carley was attentive without being too intrusive. Food was beautifully presented and prepared. The Cocktails through the Decades was a lovely addition!

The music was loud and like fast jazz from the 70s. Not condusive to a quiet romantic setting. Menu was limited and portions were small.

My wife and I enjoyed a wine pairing dinner this year even more so than all the years previous, which date back to our first visit there in 1997 ❤️ (at the time it was the Edith Cavell). The chef’s and staff continue to step it up year, after year, after year. Our server, who has worked there for many years, made our night extremely special. Wish we could remember her name! She was awesome. Made us feel comfortable, was extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed her professionalism. She made our evening!

It was a good experience but we hoped for a night of quiet intimate dining. There were small children being loud at an adjacent table. Hoped for better ambience and as such the overall value was a bit low.

Service was fantastic. We did the 3 course with wine pairing. Trout was dry and didn’t have much flavour. The infamous tiramisu was just okay.

We dined at Orso a couple of nights ago and had the pleasure of Kieran serving us! He was so fun and knowledgeable and made our experience a highlight of our trip. We went with the tour of Italy prix fixe menu and every dish was fabulous, the pasta and the duck and the tiramisu were so flavourful and well crafted, we chose the add on of foie gras and truffle risotto and we were pleasantly full at the end of the night! Thank you Kieran, Orso chefs and the Fairmont for a fabulous Christmas dinner!!
