Osco! Restaurant – InterContinental Montreal

Just perfect !

Service and food was great, had the risotto with veal and was great. Great service as well.

The service was very good that day, but food was generally too salty for most of the dishes we ate. compare to the food price and quality, won't go back again...

Immense déception liée à la qualité des plat offerts. Un tartare de bœuf sans goût, parsemé de pignons rôtis. On venait chez Osco pour le tartare de bœuf unique avec des pois de wasabi... Le risotto tombe à plat même si on nous annonce qu'il y a de la mascarpone intégré à la recette. De ce risotto s'échappe un jus brunâtre insipide. Le summum est sans doute les gnocchis au potiron, eux aussi sans goût précis mais surtout durs car ils semblent cuits à la poêle. On repassera pour la tendreté.
Par contre la facture, elle , est salée, 450.00 pour 6 personnes.
Le serveur était assez agacé face à nos questions concernant le changement de la qualité des plats. Il nous précise que le chef est là depuis 20 ans et que c'est toujours le même. Le chef est sans doute le même mais il a peut-être oublié qui il était, il n'y a pas si longtemps.
Dommage car le décor chez Osco est toujours aussi invitant.

Belle ambiance et service impeccable malgré que c'était fait un peu vite. Nous aurions dû leur demander de ralentir ... Le menu était bien fait mais le seul bémol a été les portions du carpaccio de homard qui était plus une portion d'entrée que de plat principal. Comparé à la côte de veau, c'était débalancé. Le foie gras poêlé était excellent par contre.

The ambiance is excellent, the staff friendly and efficient. The presentation and flavors of my friend's meal where superb and lived up to what I had heard. I had the bisque and I must say it had plenty of lobster meat and to my surprise it also had clams. The taste was good but it was missing something! I love risotto, it is one of my favorite dishes....but I prefer when it is creamy and not crunchy. Its a matter of personal preference. Notwithstanding, I would go and try other dishes. The menu is inviting!

In-ter-mi-na-ble. 2h15 pour un dîner, incluant un 45 minutes pour attendre les factures et payer. On avait aussi réservé une salle privée 3 semaines d'avance, qu'on nous a cancellé la veille de notre visite au restaurant.

Service was attentive and friendly. Food was excellent, especially dessert.

Fantastic ! Definitely worth while.

The quality/cost ratio is poor. The bison filet was very hard and thh waiter made 2 mistakes on our bill.

We went for a Mtl à Table event on a November Saturday night.
The food from the special menu with some choices was so-so; the duck meat as well as the bison meat were tough.
Service was slow, probably not enough wait staff for the number of diners.
Hopefully, this are better on regular nights.

Une très belle expérience pour mes amies et moi...cela reste une valeur sûre, côté nourriture et service impeccable.

We had great difficulty in cutting up and eating the bison. which was ordered medium rare. The waiter pushed us to order and made comments to hurry up as they were expecting a large crowd. We were alone in the restaurant at the time, which was 18h45.

Le serveur n'était VRAIMENT pas à la hauteur de nos attentes.
Le bison n'était pas tendre.
La table est très dispendieuse et la nourriture de vaut pas le prix demandé, question de goût.

Food was very tasty but both dishes were over salted.
The portion was kind of small, it was good for just getting off of the table not hungry, I was expecting little more for that price,
Waters were very kind and friendly.

Wonderful dining experience! We would recommend the Table d'Hote. The duck and the gnocchi done in Provencal style were amazing!

Nous avons été flabbergasted par la coquetterie toute française de votre absinthe; il faut le faire !
Nous n'avons jamais trouvé mieux ailleurs et dire que nous avons déjeuné et dîné au champagne chez le grand Paul Bocuse à Lyon, eh oui! La barre chez vous est haute en calvaire ! Et les prix sont quand même assez démocratiques; vous venez de gagner des clients supplémentaires, garanti.
Le seul problème chez vous , c'est le christ de parking ! Se taper neuf niveaux pour parquer sa voiture, c'est décourageant; la prochaine fois on prendra un taxi !
Notre serveur ne vous dira rien du pourboire reçu mais on pense l'avoir bien traité!

Coming to a new city is always difficult when picking a restaurant for 6 people. We hit on a very good one with Osco. Our waiter was very accommodating to our wine and appetizer selections. The wine selection was huge and we managed to find two perfect ones. The appetizers of octopus and salmon for the table pleased everyone. The entrees were delicious and creative. I'm not sure why this restaurant wasn't more crowded when we were there but it was fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Excellent fresh food and very friendly staff.

For me the best place for breakfast and dinner in Montreal.
Super friendly and really fresh and tasty dishes.

Very disappointing service.

I used their private room for an important business meeting and it was perfect. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend !

on l`a changer et j aurais aime manger des frites comme la photo de votre site mais le serveur nous a dit qu il aurait falu lui demander et en plus il nous dit qu il sont très délicieuse!!!

I booked at Osco! for our 5 year anniversary together. The waiter took that into consideration and gave us a nice and cosy alcove table and offered us Champagne to start off. It was a very thoughtful touch. The food was amazing and the wine selection great! we would definitely come back!

Première expérience. Nous avons adoré notre soirée en amoureux. Service impeccable et très attentionné. Tout était bon. Je le recommande grandement

We were there for New Years Eve, We had a great time, and participated in the 6 course meal.
along with their suggested wine pairings.
Some of the courses were better than others. But all on the excellent scale!
I didn't always agree with the wine pairings for my tastes, but I understood the choices.(not a port fan with dessert) My wife didn't particularly care for the Chardonnay that was matched with her entre', however I do believe that everyone has different taste and that they couldn't be perfect.

The only thing that we walked away commenting on was that the Maitre D was very nicely dressed but the Male waiters were in plain brown shirts that showed the running around they had to do. I think for NYE celebration they should have been in a vest, maybe a tie. ( checked themselves for tucked in and fit) this might be silly, but we were dressed up and the maitre D was in a tux, the hostess in a nice dress but the waiters in sand brown shirts that were not fitted.
Once again, let me say it did not deter from our evening, and had it been a regular date night, probably wouldn't have thought twice, but a $400+ dinner for two on NYE, we noticed.
We would definitely do this again, and recommend to our friends!

Pour y être déjà venue à 2 autres reprises , j'aime ce lieu pour la cuisine goûteuse et la décoration des salles !!!
