   I really enjoy all those long standing restaurants in Calgary. It’s nice to see traditional places passed along to new ownership. This was and is a great restaurant. Excellent location too. Food was also very good. The property however looks tired. A bit of upgrading, just a bit, would make the environment a little better!

   Our reservation on Mother’s Day was at 7PM. When we arrived at Osteria there was no parking in their parking lot. When seated at a table the waiter placed burnt bread appetizers on the table. We waited for 70 minutes for our dinners to be served. When the meals were delivered the cannelloni was swimming in olive oil. After eating two bites my daughter could not eat the meal because of the plate being full of the olive oil. The waiter offered to replace the meal, however we didn’t want to wait another hour for the replacement meal. The other 2 meals were average, but because of the price charged they should have been delicious. The waiter did take off the price for the olive oil flooded meal. We will not eat at Osteria any more.

   Our favourite restaurant without a doubt! The food is always amazing - especially the calamari! What really takes it over-the-top however, is Michael’s impeccable attention to detail and always making his guests feel special, and important to him. It is the type of customer service that has become increasingly rare and makes us appreciate his efforts even more. And once again-the food is wonderful-we’ve never had a dish that disappointed!

   The food and service were good. It took over a half hour to get our meal and the chair cushions are very hard. They need new chairs or need to replace the cushions. My husband and I had the seafood linguini which was tasty.

   Being new to Calgary, Osteria was recommended by a new hairdresser that is married into an Italian family. We were beyond impressed. We were treated so kindly by the owner and staff. The food is the BEST Italian food we have ever had. It was my daughters birthday and they surprised her with an amazing tiramisu while the guitarist played her Happy Birthday. We love everything about this restaurant. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

    Came here for a date night and I had one of the most wonderful dining experiences I've ever had, both the quality of food and service were exceptional. The photos don't do them justice- every bite was full of flavour and the portion size was not too big but not too small that we would leave wanting more. Cant wait to come back again!

    We came for our anniversary just before Valentine’s and ordered Chef Fabio’s Experience / chef’s choice. Each of the courses were truly amazing, and they even gave us an extra course. The service was fantastic and I’m definitely going to come back again!

    What an amazing experience, through caution to the wind and let the chef choose the meal. The chicken was absolutely amazing, the service was exemplary, and the atmosphere was exactly what it needed to be for an intimate dinner experience.     In the past we have experienced excellent dining at Osteria however New Year's Eve was a huge disappointment. The meal seemed like it had been sitting on a counter top for an extended period of time between being prepared and being served. I asked for a medium rare steak and it arrived well done. The soup was good but warm not hot. The desert seemed like it was mostly Graham cracker crumbs. This was indeed disappointing since Osteria was once one of the Cities best and also because it was our New Year's Eve. I felt suckered paying over $200.00 for such a marginal effort.

    We were here for the first time for NYE and had the set menu. The food & drinks were very good, ambiance was absolutely lovely (loved how quiet the restaurant was during our dinner), service was fantastic! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, but not overbearing at all. He just provided excellent service! We’re definitely going back and are looking forward to trying the pasta this time.

    We have dined at Osteria on a few occasions with absolutely the best of service and food. At this dinning opportunity we started with fresh and tender calamari hand floured and crisped. Served with marinara sauce. Outstanding. I then had the mussels with marinara sauce, very good, mussels nice and plump and tender not rubbery. My wife had the Manicotti. This is stuffed pasta with ricotta cheese, spinach, artichokes, green olives. Baked in a creamy rose sauce. This was so velvety smooth and tasty. The best. If you haven’t eaten here then you are missing out on the best Italian food in Calgary. No doubt.

    The experience dining here was excellent. The value for cost of the food is incredible and the quality of the food was incredibly high. The dining experience was quiet and the wait staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

    Michel (the owner) and Jan made our evening absolutely amazing. We chose the chef’s choice and were delighted with chickpea sausage soup, Biratta salad, lamb chops mashed potatoes ratatouille vegetables and fig/pomegranate compote, and finally a panicotta for dessert. The whole evening was absolutely amazing. The courses were timed perfectly, so that we were not at all, rushed and enjoyed every moment of it. If I could give it more than five stars, I would.

    The staff was really great and kind. I marked the occasion on the reservation as a date for me and my boyfriend and they brought out a little piece of Misu Cake at the end of the night for us. Food was really good and the atmosphere is nice. Thanks for a great date night :)

    Very good experience, and the food and prices are excellent. The lighting was somewhat too bright, and softening the level would really add to what is a space with nice ambiance. Our order was slightly off from that requested, but generally, we were satisfied. Will return again.

    We wanted to return to this restaurant, this time with another couple. Overall, a very good experience, not outstanding,,,,,but very good. The only issue we had was that the main course took a long time before being served to us.....not sure why , but that's the case.
