Osteria Giulia sprung to life in our imaginations as a tribute to Italian traditions of the past.

We wanted to create one simple, beautiful thing. Somewhere outside of your busy life, outside of your surroundings, outside of time. An environment, an experience, an entire evening.

Osteria Giulia is intimate, warm and familiar. We’ve reveled in her every detail. We’ve established a rarified menu focusing on Northern Italian cuisine and delicate coastal, Mediterranean flavour.

Giulia is a new imagining of what an Italian restaurant can be. It always was the place of our dreams, the reason for our collaboration, and the culmination of—and conduit for—our collective passion.

Really nice restaurant for a night friends. Everything on their menu is top notch, you won't be disappointed. I was not a fan of the dessert quality compared to the main and appetizers dishes but you can still give it a try.

Osteria Giula never disappoints! Amazing service and great ambience. The cuisine is one of the best in the city! Also great selection of Italian wines! I highly recommend you try Osteria Giula! You won’t be disappointed!

We enjoyed 4 different dishes. 3 of which were mediocre. 1 was fabulous. We expected that with a M Star, all 4 would have been fabulous. Therefore, we were disappointed with our experience. The 3 mediocre dishes were good, but when you are paying for fabulous, you expect fabulous. Therefore, I would say we were disappointed with our experience.

Went there for my birthday and had mentioned it on Open Table. But they didn’t have any acknowledgement of it or asked if we were here to celebrate anything. They did nothing for my birthday which is disappointing for a restaurant of that calibre. They also should clear the plates more often. I had a dessert size plate for dinner and had no room on my place after having the rack of lamb. Lamb was amazing though. Just sloppy looking for a restaurant at this level.

Second time at Giulia. Just like the first time, everything was amazing! The lamb is killer! Had the seafood pasta as well, and it was delicious, especially the chilli sauce.

Visited for the first time for an anniversary dinner. The service was outstanding and the food was fantastic. Thank you for comping two glasses of Brut Rose for our anniversary. The INDIVIA e PERA was a wonderful combination of bitter and sweet. I had the LORIGHITTAS al MARE which exceeded my expectations. The hand braided pasta and chilli sauce was amazing. It might be too spicy for some but I thought it was perfect. I had the MILLEFOGLIE al COCCO for desert which was refreshing with the tropical fruit. My wife had the PICAGGE PAGLIA e FIENO which she really enjoyed. She had the TIRAMISU alla GIULIA for dessert which she enjoyed but commented it was more like a cake than a traditional tiramisu. Overall it was a wonderful meal and experience. I highly recommend the restaurant. We will be back again.

Finally I get to try this 2022 Michelin 1 star restaurant. We ordered grilled seafood platter and crab with white asparagus risotto. The seafood platter has 2 scallops, prawn, Argentina shrimp, monkfish, seabass and octopus. It is very good, but I do feel a bit on the expensive side. Crab and asparagus risotto is delicious, but portion is small. Both desserts we have are amazing as well! The only down side is we order the tap water, and still charge $3 per person. If we know that, we will rather take sparkling water. Overall experience is good!

Family dinner party of six for two September birthdays. Service and food were excellent. Wonderful guidance on ordering food courses and wines for seamless experience. Best lamb I’ve had outside of Iceland. Will be back my next trip to Toronto.

Service was amazing, servers were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable not only about the food but tourist info as well. Food was devine . Perfect portion size to share a couple options. Great selection. Ambience was peaceful and other guest were not disruptive if eachother. Price was suprisingly affordable for the level of cuisine and service provided.

Our service was exceptional as always. Our server was wonderful. The food was quite good. All appetizers and drinks were great. We both felt our pastas were lacklustre. Overall we would love to return.

We were celebrating our 2nd year wedding anniversary here. Needless to say the Michelin star got us very excited. Overall, its a nice place with a good vibe but I feel Toronto has several better spots when it comes to Italian food, wine and hospitality. I feel our server''s appetizer suggestion could have been better as we ended up with two types of cheese and bread. The buratta was great but again nothing mind blowing. I'd say the cocktails were on the expensive side charging almost double what a restaurant of their standard and stature would charge. The vegetarian pasta as our main course was definitely our favourite but unfortunately it will be taken off the menu next week as we were informed. The dessert in the end was again quite average and something you could buy off the rack from a pastry shop. I'd say try the likes of Giuletta or Enoteca Sociale before this one to taste the difference.

Overall experience was nice, BUT the food, although seasoned well, was really overcooked. For an Italian restaurant of such high regard, to overcook the pasta is unacceptable and of one boasting of Liguria, to overcook most of the seafood is also highly disappointing.

A perfect night from the start. We sat at the bar and got to test Loris' new cocktail creation, "Dante" a spicy Tequilla fiesta of flavour! Then the appetizers of Focaccia, Polpo and Veal Tonnato, both with with multi dimensions of flavour and texture. Then the entrees of Lorighittas and the Branzino which continued on the theme of flavourful in taste and textures. Paired with we had a lovely Marangona Lugana white wine. Then to finish off with a perfect summer dessert of White Peach Sorbet and Loris's Mandarino. Everything was perfect!

I always enjoy the innovative Italian fare at Osteria Giulia. I am also quite impressed by their selection of wines by the glass. Good value there. Service is consistently impeccable although I'm not quite sure if its because of the Michelin star that makes the service efficient and professional rather than efficient and warm, like what I'm used to at many other Italian restaurants I frequent in the GTA, including the one just a few steps south. The food does makes up for it. Looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended.

Lovely Italian spot north of downtown Toronto. Inside the low key frontage is a haven for refined, thoughtfully prepared Italian cuisine. On a Wednesday evening, energy in the restaurant was robust, waitstaff service was on point, and food was flavorful and inspiring. Highly recommended for date night, business meal, and special gathering.

Food was good but not better than any good Italian restaurant in town. It doesn't distinguish itself as a Michelin star restaurant. The part that I did not appreciate is the fact that although I had to make a reservation a few minutes after midnight 2 weeks ahead in order to get a table for a Monday night at 5 pm (only availability even at that much in advance was 5 or 9 pm), I received a call 2 days before the booked day to inform me that there will a large group coming at 7 p.m. and they expect us to vacate the table by then. There are plenty of good restaurants in town. This one is not worth the hassle.

In conclusion, it is totally OVERPRICED and the food was FAIR. I went to the restaurant with my friend to enjoy a nice dinner and we were so disappointed. We are both girls who don't eat large portions of food as we get full easily, and we were both hungry after the meal. I will give out my only two compliments for the restaurant first, the Polo (Octopus) was outstanding. The portion was enough for two to share as an appetizer. The sauce was amazing, the potato was nicely cooked, and the octopus itself had great texture. The second compliment is for the atmosphere, the lighting was great and the decor matched well together with the lighting. Now we talk about the disastrous parts, we will talk about the food first. I ordered Lorighittas al mare (hand braided pasta with squid); the portion of the pasta was very little, I didn't get full after eating both the appetizer and the pasta. The pasta seemed to be undercooked and the sauce was pretty bland and very average. Most importantly, the squid and pasta did not blend in with the sauce. My friend ordered Spaghetti ai ricci di mare (Urchin spaghetti), the portion of the pasta was incredibly small that my friend had to grab late night snacks after she got home. It was not bad but the pasta tasted like average cheese pasta that you could make at home by yourself. However, the urchin was extraordinary. She also ordered Torta al Pistachio (Pistachio cake with raspberry sorbetto), the cream in the cake was too rich. The pistachio cake tasted really average and it didn't improve the disappointment that she had for the pasta. The raspberry sorbetto was good but it was not frozen enough. Despite of the high price, the food was way below our expectations for a Michelin star restaurant. Now we talk about the service, the server's attitude was fair. It took her very long to serve us our mains after we finished eating the appetizer and for us to get our bills. Overall definitely didn't worth its high price.

Outstanding service sitting at the bar. Chic environment with lively but not loud atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion date. The meal was divine with all courses beautifully presented, portions perfect and flavours unmatched. Thank you for hosting us, we will return any time in Toronto.

The decor is elegant, food is presented well, love the appetizers but the seafood platter is a bit too salty. The noise level is also quite loud, prefer if the distance between tables can be larger, but the candles really adds the romance.
