Excellent from beginning to end great experience
Second visit - awesome food and great wine list. Good variety of creative cuisine.
Gorgeous, huge patio out front. Need reservations for the tables, however they have 3 high-tops that you can snag. Also - huge firepit. One of the owners is a sommelier so great wine advice for pairings. Super attentive and friendly staff - very willing to please. I normally opt out of Italian when choosing a lunch or dinner option; have to really be in the mood. This dining spot has changed my mind entirely. One of my new favorite places! Also, our first server, Paul, was so awesome and now he is a manager and I can see why - excellent service. Dan and Jen also wonderful as are the cute & friendly hostesses - honestly all the staff is wonderful.
For our anniversary, we decided to go somewhere special. My wife had been here before with friends, but this was my first visit. The atmosphere was electric and everyone looked like they were having a great time. Our service and food were excellent.
I cannot wait to revisit in the near future.
Great hospitality, service & food
Fantastic as always!! We dine here as often as we can and have never been disappointed!
Evan worked with us slowly since we were on a date. The menu was great. The meatballs and the sea bass were terrific. The bottle of wine matched what we were eating with a deep Cabernet blend. Good stuff and fun. We will come back...definitely.
All around outstanding experience. Must try the short rib ravioli! Amazing!
Great waitress and ambiance - we both had the pork chop which looked nice but was really tough and not very good -
Ambiance and service was great !!
Osteria Mattone was outstanding in every aspect of our meal. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and made solid recommendations. Just came back from traveling to Italy and my experience at this restaurant brought wonderful memories. Food was terrific and would highly recommend anyone trying at least once this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.
The food is pretty good, but the diner must expect a traditional Italian meal, which means that you are expected to order multiple courses rather than just one entree. Each course is pretty small, so if you just get one you are not getting a lot of food. With that said, the food is very good and the environment is nice.
we always enjoy OM! the full experience is always excellent - atmosphere, service and food are among the best in Roswell
this night we enjoyed a full bodied cab, the fresh baked bread and cracked pepper/oil, veal meatballs and flaked parmesan on a romaine salad, followed by seafood pasta and bolognese pasta dishes which were both excellent
Mother’s Day brunch. Always a great experience. Service, attitude and food are awesome.
Always consistent, always good and always a treat. Truly Roswell's best Italian if not Roswell's best restaurant. Have the veal meat balls, artichokes, and just about any entree. Nice wine list! And populated with a knowledgeable, attentive and respectful waitstaff. Casual and elegant at the same time. Treat yourself and your significant other to a great dining experience at Osteria.
Delicious! Charming, bright ambiance in a craftsman bungalow with giant arched windows and unmbrellad patio in the garden in historic Roswell. Steady, but well-planned seating on Mother's Day. Handmade ravioli with braised shortrib stuffing is a signature dish. PERFECT calamari-crisp without too much breading & no grease. Small baby artichoke hearts, grilled. Wanted more, and/or bigger. Pasta carbonara with pancetta and parmesan=clean plate, best of all was my lobster and crab omelet with hollandaise and a tart arugala salad with lemon dressing.
We shared a salad, meatballs, margherita pizza, and a kid's portion of buttered noodles for my son. The pizza was pretty good; sort of a wood fired type pizza about 11". I'd definitely recommend the pizza over anything. The meatballs were a little on the soft side and bland, but not bad. The salad was essentially a head of romaine lettuce with some sort of garlic sauce on it. We also were served some sort of fresh bread along with the meal, which was really tasty.
Overall, my biggest gripe is that the portion sizes of the salad, meatballs, and kid's noodles is minuscule for the price. Very pricey for small portion sizes; $9 for a half-cup of buttered noodles without any sides for my son? I guess if you have money to blow and just want a nice place with atmosphere, then this is your spot.
Amazing as always!
This was our third visit. We came for mother's day and it was fantastic. The food and service is always impeccable. We will be back.
Once again, amazing food, amazing staff!
We arrived with an extra person on Mother's Day as I thought I had made the reservation for 3, but actually clicked, "2." The correction in my error was seamless by an extremely attentive and accommodating staff! We were able to sit outside (beautiful Saturday evening). Our waiter this evening, Mark, was amazing and new every inch of the new summer menu along with the new summer cocktails!
For phenomenal food with an excellent staff, this is our "go-to" place.
It was a lovely place to celebrate our anniversary!
You will not be disappointed. Wonderful food, wonderful service and great atmosphere!
We sat on the outdoor patio, which was perfect. Quaint, relaxing - great atmosphere. The service was super slow, which was OK as we were just chatting, but gave a low rating as the food was just average. From the app to the meal to dessert, it was just OK. That being said, you can get a much better meal elsewhere, but the ambiance here was cute.
My son and I dined on the patio. It was so pleasant and peaceful. The food was delicious ( as always), the waiter was excellent, and they take food allergies seriously. This continues to be one of my most favorite restaurants.
As Always this place is excellent for a special occasion or quiet dinner. Food and Service are superior.
Our only disappointment was that reservation was made for patio dining in the shade. Unfortunately, we did not get the shade.
This was our first time and we really enjoyed our meals!
The food and drinks and service were all fantastic we celebrated 80th birthday for my mother she was very excited and surprised the server did a fantastic job
Beautiful place, but our experience was marred by inattentive service. No second drinks, coffee, or dessert offered and we had to get the busperson to flag our waitress for us. Food good except for ravioli with goat cheese and peas that was completely subjugated by overwhelming lemon flavor.
Great service and good food! We have dined here over 10 times and never disappointed!
Our service was exceptional! We started with cocktails, went on for appetizers, dinner, and desert. There was not one complaint from anyone in our foursome. The food was delicious!
We had a great time on the patio. Great food and drinks!
I can't believe I waited so long to go here. It was so delicious. And our server, Adam, was so friendly and funny. My mom and I had a wonderful dinner here. Will definitely go back.
Super food and service. Excellent variety of food for ten people. All were please with generous salads, sandwiches, pizza and soup. Happy to accommodate our request to lower the volume of the music so we could hear each other.
Our second visit here as good as our first. Our server was very helpful in selecting a wine as we were unfamiliar with the Italian cultivars.
I enjoyed perfectly grilled lamb chops and my gf loved tender, juicy pork chops. Even the next day they were still moist after reheating.
Sit outside if the weather permits.
This was my second visit to Osteria Mattone, and it was even better than my first one. We dined at their outdoor patio, which is beautifully designed, with an unexpected elegance. The food, as always, is superb no matter what you order. I had the swordfish, which is served atop a bed of ground homemade pasta, and it was yummy. My date, who is a vegetarian, asked for an off-menu vegetable plate and, without difficulty or hesitation, they delivered a beautiful platter of asparagus, eggplant and spinach, which my date thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely return soon. By the way, I don't want to forget the service --it is friendly, attentive and outstanding!
Restaurant is very nice. Roman cuisine. All pastas and pizzas made in house with fresh ingedients. We order a Funghi Pizza as an appetizer to share and it was delicious. The entrees were very good as well. Highly recommend
It was our anniversary. When we arrived there was a postcard signed from each employee. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The service was great and the food outstanding.
First time to Osteria. Had heard great things and was excited to try. On this occasion it was to celebrate my partner's birthday which I noted on my reservation and confirmed day before. The food was excellent. Risotto balls, meatballs, pasta, pizza.. it was all very good. I was quite disappointed in the slow service and lack of effort to make the evening special for my partner's birthday. That was the only gripe l, but it was especially disappointing as I wanted it to be a special evening. I'd certainly like to go back and try it again, but my overall first experience wasn't ideal. Positive: It's a lovely spot with great food.
Met with client from NYC. Enjoyed the dining experience. Zack, our waiter, was very well informed.
I had lunch on the patio with a friend. I ordered the soup of the day which was served tepid. My lunch portion arugula salad and friend’s pizza took over an hour to be served. The server never approached us to apprise us of the delay of our food. When my friend went inside to inquire about the delay in service, the server reported that the pizza had been burned, but a new one was soon to be served. The hostess came to our table to apologize and offered a dessert for our delayed food service. The server stated she was busy with a large party that I observed was near the end of their meal when we arrived. The restaurant was empty of diners inside and maybe only 4 other tables of diners outside totaling 10 people total. All we expected was to be aware of a delay in our food prep. Honesty and courtesy go a long way on both sides of the table. I will return to Osteria Mattone in the future. I do think the management needs to be aware.
