Beautiful restaurant although very drafty, we assumed this was because the space is mostly windows but bring a sweater if dining in the winter. Service could have been better, as someone who appreciates good food/drink and never minds paying for quality, I felt that some things were priced highly just for the sake of it and the quality did not reflect the cost.
This space is attractive and has lots of potential but in my opinion, need to work out some kinks in their service and in their menu before I'd return.
Incredible food, charming staff, and a barman who made us delicious off-menu non-alcoholic cocktails. Highly recommend!
Great food! Great vibes
Drinks took way too long both times we ordered and the entrees were disappointing, especially the pork.
Ambiance, food, cocktails, wines along with great staff make this place the absolute best in the city.
Amazing as always! Mouth watering and delicious
Phenomenal meal. The ambiance was beautiful. The food was scrumptious and well timed out. The service was fantastic. Our server helped us pick the perfect meal for a night out. She was well versed in the wine selection, as well. This is a really special restaurant in Toronto. We will be back.
Was not to impressed with the food. and very expensive for the quality of food. Service was good and ambiance is nice. Need to step up on there food
Great cocktails & wine list. Menu really mediocre. Service novice.
Food was great but their strict 1hr 45m dining window is off-putting considering the price and full course dining.
Appetizers were good, but a bit overpriced. The focaccia was a decent portion and tasted good. The burrata e prosciutto was good, but way overpriced for the amount of prosciutto - burrata was a decent portion. The suppli al cacio e pepe was the only appy I was impressed with, but again the portion was tiny (only 2 small croquettes).
Entrees were good but nothing special. Three of us got the canestri, which was a good portion but underwhelming. The fourth of us got the perciateli, which was also a good portion but underwhelming. Only three of our entrees came out at once, we had to wait about 10 minutes for the fourth entree to hit the table. During this time, the server never checked in on us, and we had to flag down another staff member to let them know about the missing entree. We got two sides; the cicoria (good, but small portion) and the florentino (underwhelming & small portion).
Our server was pleasant enough but really kept trying to sell the bistecca (the most expensive menu option) and didn’t really connect with us regarding what we were interested in at all - not much personality and she was very absent. We’d frequently be without water & wine top ups. Support staff were at the table more frequently than she was. When she came to the table and we asked for a wine top up, she told us our bottle was finished, so we asked for another. She didn’t replace our wine glasses with the new bottle, and started pouring everyone’s glass before we had even taste tested the new bottle. She never returned to top up wine for the entirety of our meal after this. I eventually got up to grab the wine out of the chiller behind us, and noticed there was still about 6-10 oz of wine in our previous bottle. This really bothered me because it was dishonest of her to tell us it was finished (was she just trying to up the cheque?). Really disappointing and left a bad taste in our mouths.
Decent food but the service really ruined this for us, and none of us will be returning.
Great food and ambience. Service could have been better, maybe it was an off night. One of our dishes had a slight bitter taste, which the server and kitchen confirmed was not right but could not explain, however we weren't comped or discounted for that dish.
mushroom pasta Insipid and flavorless. And pasta soft and overboiled. Pork cutlet cooked to the point of leather. Appealing atmosphere but food prepared without attention or finesse.
Quite disappointed to say the least. From being seating on the outdoor patio in mid November with a heater that’s not so strong was frustrating. We kept our coats on the entire time, our feet were frozen by the end of the night. I’m positive I booked standard seating which is indoors, so I’m not sure what happened there. Service was slow - there must have been something going on because it was terrible. It took us at least half an hour to order and get our wine. An appetizer was forgotten and brought out after our pasta dishes, after we reminded the server. The appetizers were the best thing on the menu. The pasta dishes were mediocre.. the pasta was like sticking together and the flavour was not great. It definitely was nothing to go crazy over! (I was shocked because I always heard good things). The Zaffarano cocktail was terrible - you would think for an upscale place the drink menu would be much better but let me tell you, definitely not worth the $17, we had to send it back. The steak & frites were good but again nothing to die for. Our sides were okay, dishes were a bit different than expected. My friends and I also ordered coffee and dessert. You would think the coffee would come out at roughly the same time. This was not the case. We actually finished dessert and then had to ask about the coffee to make sure it was coming. I was very disappointed.. to pay those kind of prices the service and the meal better be top notch.
We booked a table inside however the restaurant is seating people on the enclosed patio. The night we were there it was near -10C and the heaters they have are not equipped for that. It was really cold, like eating in a fridge, and that made the food cold soon after it landed on our table. People around us were also caught off guard that they were being seated on a patio without warning and asking to go inside. I’d recommend going with layers and wraps to keep warm.
Really upset with the service, coming in I read reviews saying that the service was pretty bad but had an open mind about it. But sadly, I also received service that was upsetting especially for the price you pay. I had to even send a dish back because it was uneatable and yet no one came and checked in and see why I sent it back.
Server was charming and professional. Food was delicious. I really enjoyed one of their cocktails with sparkling wine. Very fitting for the season.
Small portions. Limited menu options. Not worth the price.
I was not impressed by what I had . the ragout pasta had nothing special. Maybe you should add some wine to make it tastier. I am not sure I will bring my friend Geneviève!
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service and great food. Lucky to have this in the neighborhood!
The so called « heated patio » is in fact a glassed extension, fully enclosed with less air circulation than being fully indoors. We asked if à corner could be accommodated and window opened ajar considering we had reserved for outdoor dining and the response was : « no because other customers would be cold « …the very purpose of heated patio seating being to be outdoors, this reasoning hardly holds.
In conclusion extremely disappointing in the current circumstances that not only there was a misrepresentation on the heated patio concept but no attempt of accommodation whatsoever was proposed for our party of four.
Restaurant is nice but service could use some work. Host seemed confused about our reservation. Got it worked out. Got seated, offered water and then server didn’t return for 30 mins. When he did return he wasn’t friendly or helpful. Asked for some limes for the sparkling water. Never got them. Didn’t ask follow up questions like how we wanted our steak done - maybe it was his first night? Didn’t come check on how the food was until we were done. Food was okay, nothing special. Ambience is good, maybe we just had a bad server. Nothing terrible, but nothing that would make me come back.
Great meal and service. Looking forward to returning soon.
Lovely food and service. Service was slightly on the slow side.
amazing dinner! great service beautiful venue and the food was incredible.
The service and ambiance at this restaurant are amazing. However, the food was very disappointing. We ordered all three pasta dishes and two of them were actually disgusting. This is not something I would normally say, but it was really inedible. We forced ourselves to finish as we felt bad wasting the food, but in retrospect I wish I had just asked them to take it back. I would go back for drinks and appetizers (the burrata was very good), but would not recommend the pasta at all. The desserts were also underwhelming.
Service and ambiance we excellent. We loved our appetizers but were overall disappointed with our mains.
The meal was wonderful and the kitchen was great in reducing the dairy in the sauces. We enjoying sampling 7 dishes as a tasting menu. The server Isabella was very kind and know her stuff. Well trained.
A lovely evening to celebrate our anniversary.
The restaurant was still a little too chilly even sitting indoors and I had a wrap.
The host was not very warm despite being the first impression. I felt he was more interested in informing us we had to leave in a 2 hour window than welcoming us back to indoor dining.
Excellent, will be back!
Delicious food as always! Great atmosphere for a date, dinner with friends etc.
We had a wonderful dinner as an anniversary celebration. The carbonara (homemade) was fabulous, and the pork cutlet was absolutely superb.
Service and food were good though not as great as they have been in past visits.
Adequate, bit inattentive service. Salad was forgotten--but ended up a highlight ast the end: and tries were also excellent. --meal was definitely overpriced.
It was nice to see what they're created out if the venue.
Delicious food and great to share. Loved the chocolate hazelnut dessert!
Amazing meal - everything was delicious. Servers were well informed about the wine and beverage list as well as serving size. We had the focaccia and carpaccio to start. Then shared the spicy carbonara along with the fiorentina steak (perfectly cooked) with corn on the side (addictive!) and roasted broccolini. Finished with grappa and the chocolate torta. Would highly recommend this amazing restaurant!
A must go in the city. The ambiance is amazing. We had drinks and dessert, but that alone made me ready to go back for the full experience. Can't wait to come back.
Great food and service! Perfect patio for cool fall nights
Incredible. The food was amazing. The service was fantastic and the ambiance phenomenal. Come hungry and come often. 11/10
Food was great, so was service.
