Loved it! Fun place! Waitress was awesome! Would come back again!
I absolutely love the food but I found the service pretty terrible. I had to basically beg her to tell us about dessert options and waive her down for the bill.
The food was stupendous. What a spread! We went for the Otto brunch platter and were not disappointed. A little pricy but well worth the experience. Good service despite being packed on a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommended!
Good place to try a Germany style brunch. The way, by plating all food on a tray, of presenting the food is quite unique.
Excellent German food and space. We really enjoyed the shareable food experience and the staff is awesome.
Great value for money. Food is delicious and portions very generous. Will definitely return
Had a great experience in the past, but this time, I was mad. The food took more than 1 hour to come to our table. Somewhere down the road, someone made a mistake. At 30 mins point, the server said she would check on our food, but it still took 30 mins after that. It was a party of 3, and we ordered just one platter (schnitzel n waffle). Got to the restaurant at 1:50, food was served at 3:05. The manager simply took off 25% off, didn't come to speak to us. Just felt like they didn't care much as their shift was ending. No matter what, I think 1 hour was too long for a single plate. I would go back though, as the food is delicious.
The brunch here is delicious and perfect for hangovers! Great food, friendly staff who made sure our coffee mugs were always full and eye-appeasing decor. Lucky to have this spot as my local! Only thing though, if you're starving, make sure you're having a beverage while waiting for your food. The Schnitzels and Waffles take a while to prep on Sundays (experienced the delay twice now)!
Loved Otto's as always, and 2 of my sisters who had never been were just as enamored as well!
Food was good, we enjoyed sharing the schnitzel! There was very minimal and slow service and it resulted in a very disappointing experience.
Great place for Shnitzels, cocktails and beer! Lots of beers on tap, great service and airy ambience
Fondue is very expensive for what you get but all the other food was perfect. It was also very cold in the restaurant.
Awesome! Great space, great service, and great beers!
Excellent authentic bierhaus food options, wonderful selection of beers including some of Toronto's best craft brews. Evan the GM is a wonderful guy and the staff are fantastic and know their stuff!
Amazing food, attentive service, great vibe and location.
Had an amazing brunch!
Great spot downtown for beer and food. Love the interior and the staff was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back
No attention from servers the entire time, had to flag someone down constantly.
Had a very good time. Food was excellent and is a fun place.
Always blown away by the food and incredibly comprehensive sour beer list at Otto’s.
Disappointing. I made a reservation on OpenTable for 11:45am, but the restaurant did not open until noon. That is just a sloppy mistake. Waiter mumbled and was unfriendly. He tended to disappear for long periods of time and I had to chase him down for the bill. Food was fine, but served cold. Potato salad was very good. Ambiance is quite cool, but that is the best thing about restaurant. Menu should have sauerkraut with German food. Probably won’t be back.
Great experience at Otto's! The place to be if seeing a show at The Great Hall. As we ate our dinner and sipped our beer, people waited in line outside in the cold for the show. Once we saw the line moving, we paid our bill and walked into the venue. Great food and ambiance. Highly recommend.
Had brunch and it was delightful! A bit noisy in there but the food is worth it. And the server was great!!
We had a reservation at 11. And ordered our food at 11:15. Git our food at 12:20 because apparently there was one chef for the entire restaurant that day. We had to leave at 12:40. So imagine rushing and trying to finish all the food we ordered (two big trays) withing 20 mins.
Too busy and super slow service. Clearly they have no respect for peoples time.
Good food and good selection of beer. Coolest bathrooms in the city.
Pork schnitzel was good. The fries were not so good and the soup was not hot enough.
Very good service and food. Great ambiance and people were having tons of fun.
Went twice now and loved it the first time but was very disappointed with the food the second time. Our Bratwurst was hard and dry and the sauerkraut was only warm, on the cold side. The Curry Bratwurst was not authentic at all. What kind of sausage was that? Not German. I like my sauerkraut cooked, not straight from a can. As a Canadian-German I was very disappointed. I did hear the cheese spazle were good. Not coming back.
Other than the price, it’s a perfect place to go. Kind of overpriced though. $52 for the one we had.
Really fun food. Great price. Great beer. Great service.
Nice place, large choice of good beer, comfort food to share
Brought my husband for a breakfast thats different than your traditional, and it was an amazing experience he loved it.
Overall the food was good. Schnitzel was amazing and fries too. The deep fried ham hock was cold on the inside which was very surprising and off putting. Great beer selections too.
I was expecting authentic German food, which was not what we received. It was more like a "spin" on authentic German food.
I would not recommend Otto's for anything more than beer.
Raevv’n was incredible!! Best service I have received in a long time. Super knowledgeable about the food and beer options.
Great service and amazing food. Especially with a large group, great for sharing!
Our servers were amazing!
Great ambience, delicious food and beer and a great vibe! Really enjoy Otto’s!
As I was born and raised in Germany, I was intrigued to try this highly rated food. Although I was not familiar with the way some of the foods were prepared, they were tasty and filling. We had the Bavarian special, were the pork hock was not made as I traditionally have it. The outer skin was crusty, but yet very favorable. The sauerkraut was not cooked as it would have been normally done with the pork hock. Other side dishes were very good and overall we did enjoy our first night at Otto's. Not to mention the fact that they do have an excellent selection of European beer. We will be back of course to try some other items on the menu, BUT I would seriously recommend reserving a table as this is a very popular stop for many people.
