ODB is one of our most favourite restaurants in Calgary and basically anywhere! We love everything on the menu. Fantastic, fresh, often local, and always delicious meals. We also love their takeaway meals and other offerings at their Bodega.

Most overpriced place for food that is just average. $30 for a lobster roll that was an afterthought when they ran into eggs bene. Got the dregs of the fry basket too.

Hello, The lobster rolls were definitely not an afterthought. We run them as a special every June. I am not sure what you think a lobster roll should cost but I can assure you this is a fair price for the product we are putting out. All of our fries are triple blanched for maximum crispyness and made to order. Sometimes the blanched fries do break resulting in smaller, crispy and delicious bits but there is never a "dregs of the fry basket" situation here. All the best.

As always the service is amazing. We were a little disappointed in the food this time. We had the Niçoise salads and the fries. The fries were amazing but a bit too salty. The salads were pretty good but the dressing was vinegar heavy which overpowered the other flavours. The egg and tomatoes and picked green beans were amazing. Thank you!

We sat on the patio for Mother’s Day! I guess I didn’t think about this but the patio gets almost no sun throughout the day. But, they have heaters and they were great! We all loved our meals. I had the mezzo bowl and my only comment is the falafel was a little over cooked. Vibes were great! Music was not too loud. Our service was prompt but our server wasn’t very nice. Most of my family is foreign and she didn’t handle our considerations with patience. The rest of the staff was great!

Came on a DJ night. Couldn’t hear ourselves think, let alone converse. Too loud for the space. Staff tried accommodate somewhat but we left before placing orders. Ignore food rating—didn’t get to try anything.

Great food and service! I wasn't sure about the Hungarian wine so we were all offered a small tasting glass. That was great as we chose a different wine. The food was tasty and good portions especially the mains.

The food was very tasty . Ordered the market burger and it was very good . The feature dessert was also very good - sorbet like with lemon curd. The beer was refreshing but a tad small. The rose wine was good. Overall a great meal. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was energetic. The print on the menu was smallish and a bit hard to read in the muted lighting but it was an enjoyable meal and would definitely return, maybe in the summer . Looks like there is a good number of outdoor tables.

If you are looking for a unique spot with great food (and you can actually hear the people you are dining with!), then I would highly recommend. The food is meant to be shared so we were able to try a variety of items with the braised beef and grilled broccoli being huge hits at the table. We asked the employees for their recommendations and were not disappointed. Will definitely eat here again, highly recommend.

ODB has been constantly great since they opened 8 years ago. The value for the price is actually quite high because of the quality of ingredients they use. No corners cut and food you can feel good about indulging in. A staple in SW Calgary.

We had a fabulous time dining at ODB on Friday. We had a group of us which allowed us to order a ton of sharing dishes. Everything was really delicious, beautifully plated and service was great. We’re newer to dinner time here as it’s a frequent daytime spot, but with the new reso dinner service it makes it easy to plan ahead. It’s such a fantastic spot to catch up with friends and run into many people in the neighborhood. Big fans of ODB!

Made reservation the weekend prior. I specifically and politely asked in the reservation if it would possible to be put in a corner table or at minimum not be in a middle table with people on both sides because I am hearing impaired. When I got there I was put in a middle table closely beside two other couples. My date and myself weren’t acknowledge or served water/menus for 15 minutes. Tables that arrived and ordered after us got their food and drinks before we did (ordered 3 appetizers and 2 mochas). The drinks and food were extremely good to be noted. The service during our meal was poor. What really ticked me off is after our meal we were relaxing and talking unsure if to order more drinks or not, the hostess came and told us they needed our table in 5 minutes and handed us the bill she said “there is no way to say it nicely but we have other reservations and need this table in 5 minutes” I would never write a bad review but this was extremely rude and left a sour taste in my mouth of an establishment that I had in very high regard.

Thanks for the review, the atmosphere that many people are familiar with at ODB is certainly different on Funk45 nights. These events happen periodically and often include a DJ, and an altered menu than our restaurant normally provides. We do ask that tables limit their stay to 2 hours to allow us to best manage everyone's guest experience. You should have had these changes communicated prior to your visit to let you know what the evening held and it's no excuse for the quality of our service.

Modest and eclectic menu. Some very pleasant surprises. Best Polenta I have had in years. Service was efficient, helpful but not intrusive. Atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Everything was well prepared and presented. We had a great large family dining experience.

A delicious meal for a Saturday night. The food was beautifully prepared, but not fussy or overly complicated. Both the salmon fillet and steak frites were done to perfection. The feeling of the restaurant is as close to a modern, European neighbourhood bistro as you can get in Calgary.

We had very nice early dinner before going off to the theatre. It was a perfect amount of food which was delicious, nice ambiance and our server was great, just the right amount of attention! We had not eaten here for dinner and really enjoyed it.

Beautiful space! Have been here for breakfast and coffee a few times and decided to try for dinner. The restaurant was chilly and music was a little too quite, needed some warmth to feel more comfortable. the food was good, I had the fried chicken, it was cooked well but bland considering the usual flavours of this place. The decor and design are beautiful in the space and I would try it again.
