   Unfortunately, the Eggs Benny were very underwhelming. The eggs were hard and plopped out. The coffee was also very watery. The service was good. But the food was not as good as it once was.

   First time at this lovely, historical spot and we were so pleased by the ambiance, quality of the food and overall experience of dining at the Oval Room. Fancy without pretense. Our server was attentive but not overly clingy, we felt like we could relax and take our time. Highly recommend!!

   A very nice Mother’s Day buffet. The selection was vast to satisfy everyone’s taste. A nice touch was the live keyboard player-soft tunes. Our wait staff was very friendly and attentive.

   We went for breakfast at 9 am and it was nearly empty, very cozy and quiet until about 10 am then it was getting full. Very relaxed but efficient server, we never felt rushed or like we were waiting for him. Food was delicious of course and large portions. I wish we would have known the French toast was so big, we probably would have shared it for the table. I would definitely be back for when I’m looking for a bit bougier breakfast place.

   Excellent pizza, wine, appetizers, dessert in a beautiful ambience. Wonderful setting for a nicer dining experience or special occasion.

   Although the ambience and service are good, our two recent experiences with food have been disappointing. This is essentially a restaurant in a hotel, and you have to know what to order. If we go again, we will not be ordering the very hard crusted pizza or pull apart buns. Seafood and steaks are reasonably good. Winnipeg has better seafood and steakhouses. Scant pickings for vegetarians and vegans if you opt out of pizza and want more for dinner than a salad. Our server, Jessica provided excellent service and graciously took the buns and pizza off the bill.
