    Our server Paul was excellent and very professional. The food was subpar. Tuna was cold and tough in texture. My daughters steak was also cold and over coated in Chimichuri sauce. My sons meal fish was okay but nothing special. Unfortunately way overpriced for the quality.

    The greeter and serving staff were welcoming and attentive. When I noted that it was our 35th anniversary, they both made sure to wish us a happy celebration. They even arranged for the bellman to take us to our wedding ballroom venue on the 7th floor. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant.

    My husband ordered the salmon entree and declared it the best salmon dish he'd ever eaten. I should have ordered the same. Instead, I went for the Pastrami-smoked salmon sandwich. The bread was so over-fried that the crust was black in spots and inedible. The salmon was kind of bland. And to my surprise, the "twice-fried russet potatoes" were plain old french fries. Still, my margarita was splendid and I throughly enjoyed the ambience and the wonderful sense of humour of our charming server.

    We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary on a quiet Tuesday evening at the Oval Room Brasserie. Our server was very friendly and attentive and the drinks and food were excellent. We enjoyed the 2 different margaritas and for appetizers the pickerel bites and calamari. We thought the serving size was generous and both were delicious. For dinner my husband enjoyed more pickerel with the fish and chips and I loved the beet salad with grilled prawns. We ended the meal by sharing the butter tart with ice cream which offered a perfect bit of sweetness. We will definitely return for future special occasions!

    Our server was professional, attentive and extremely helpful. His suggestions for pre-dinner cocktails were excellent as were the cocktails. Our food was simply outstanding. My only negative comment was the menu was not all that extensive but what is there is good.
