    Service was fantastic, Morgan and the rest of the staff were excellent . The menu provides great interest and the venue is very charming. Sadly, the food did not match the level of service etc. We tried 3 appetizers and 2 mains and the food was okay but did not showcase the ingredients as much as we were anticipating based on all the other aspects of this experience.

    Oxbow went over and above with their food and service. From the moment we walked in our evening was full of wonderful surprises!!! I can't recommend enough this restaurant! If you want an intimate dinner for 2 or a group setting, Oxbow will not disappoint. Thank you again for making our evening so special! Special shout out to Chef and the amazing staff last night!     We went to Oxbow to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the chance to enjoy a tasty cocktail by the lounge fire before we headed into the restaurant. We received complimentary bubbles and got a nice quiet table. The restaurant is small but open. We didn’t feel crowded. The service in both the lounge and restaurant was wonderful. They worked as a team which did well. The food had great twists on classic dishes. We would try Oxbow again with hopes that they change up the menu so that we could try something different. Thanks for a great evening!

    I have had a terrible stomach ache and GI symptoms since. My husband said he had ‘the worst entree’ he has ever ordered (pasta dish). The servers were very responsive but 3 of them weee all over us all night - we could barely get a conversation going and they were back. Repeating and duplicating each others efforts.

    We celebrated our anniversary at Oxbow! We enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. Tazma‘s service was prompt, but unintrusive. Morgan ran the dining room with a confident and experienced hand.  We were offered complementary glasses of sparkling wine to celebrate, which was a welcome touch. We started with the Burrata and the tartare. Both delicious, interesting to note that the tartare is “Caesar seasoned“ and served with no egg yolk.  The Burrata had some Asian elements to it, notably a chilli sauce with a touch of peanut.  Our mains were the duck breast on gnocchi, and the camestrini pasta with Dungeness crab and chorizo crumble. The duck was turned out perfectly, and the pasta was warm and filling.  We were able to sit very near to the kitchen, and were much entertained watching all the dishes come out.  The aranchini appy seems popular, and the halibut main & burger main as well. We finished our evening with the espresso crème brûlée, which was subtly flavoured so as not to be overwhelming.  All in all, a wonderful meal!

    Such an exquisite meal and visit. Watching the chefs in action is truly a special experience. All of the servers were kind and friendly, the food is impeccable, chefs choice will always be my favourite, compliments to Chef Junell for an incredible meal.

    Dined in on a Friday night, was greeted by staff right away. Sat on the patio and our server had great recommendations on the menu. Tried the tartare, burrata, Halibut & beef couloutte and finished with the banoffee pudding. Everything was wonderful, service was timely will be back again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    We've now had 2 lovely meals at Oxbow both Wednesday when wine under $100 is half off. The patio is lovely and with fall weather coming there are heaters and a little fire pit to keep you toasty. The first time we were here we had the chefs 3 course dinner and it seemed like good value for the dinner we had. Last night we both had burgers and they were scrummy. I'm so happy to have this restaurant in my neighbourhood

    Fantastic dinner on the patio! Inventive dishes, well-executed in a relaxing, friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed the halibut, perfectly cooked with a beautiful potato pave and a creative sauce. The smoked culotte de boeuf was the perfect, earthy fall dish. A wonderful experience with attentive service!

    Service was great….servers and patio were best part of our experience. The variety and options for the half price bottles of wine were excellent. Unfortunately our visit was impacted by the underwhelming quality of the food and was so disappointing for what he had experienced previously. Charcuterie had old dry cheese on the board, hunks of meat sporadically thrown on board with stale dry crackers and not much variety, boring and plain…not worth the cost. The roasted mushroom vol au vent was not hot, mushrooms rubbery and pastry over baked. Prime rib burger was tasty, and appreciated the twice baked potato wedges. Highlight of the meal really. The Apple and whiskey soaked peach crumble was not hot, had a burnt taste and really capped off a horrible dining experience. Again, service was excellent-food was far from-hopefully this is a one off, as the patio was so enjoyable.

    We celebrated a triple birthday here Friday night and I would recommend Oxbow to anyone. Calgary called for a bit of rain and we had a patio table under the awning. Our server Amy and Morgan were super accommodating, moving our table away from the rain, we did not get wet at all! The pork chop dish was delicious and filling, overall great ambience and location in Kensington! Thank you again!

    Overall amazing experience. My family and I sat in for dinner. The menu had a great selection, we tried many different things. The burrata salad was to die for! The chef did a flawless job. Our entrees came out fast and everything was hot and fresh. The service was exceptional, our server would frequently check in to make sure we were doing okay. We finished the night off with dessert. The Baked Alaska was incredible. Kudos to the oxbow team, I will definitely be dining with you again.

    Fabulous meal. We got the Chef's Whimsy and the Halibut and everything was perfect. We live in New Orleans where the food is hard to beat, but Oxbow was better than New Orleans!

    What a great experience! They staff were amazing! So friendly and attentive. The food was cooked beautifully and seasoned really well. The atmosphere was quiet. We we there for an anniversary and we absolutely picked the right place to go. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

    We went there last night after booking a reservation last minute. We were treated to excellent service and food. Layla greeted us at the door and was very kind and attentive. Baha our server made us feel right at home, and had great suggestions from the menu. We tried the duck wings, the meatloaf and the Salmon, all of which exceeded expectations. Baha specifically recommended the baked Alaska for dessert, which was exquisite - probably the best dessert we’ve had in a long time. Overall, would highly recommend Oxbow to anyone who wants to enjoy an evening of amazing food, excellent service and great atmosphere.

    I eat here quite regularly it’s a great place for brunch, lunch or dinner, the food is fantastic a good wine list and cocktails with a regularly changing menu and the staff are amazing. Highly recommended!

    We found the overall experience at Oxbow to be fine. I give credit to the servers, I believe they did the best they could but it seemed to be disorganized. Not sure if they were short staffed or short in the kitchen but he had a 2.5 hour meal with only 2 courses. Slightly longer than anticipated as we had to go to a show and were rushed leaving. I was recommended the lasagna (by one of the servers); while it was ok quality wise, it was a small portion and felt like it lacked something special. When you pay 42 dollars for lasagna and you're left feeling hungry, something is wrong. The rest of my party enjoyed their food for the most part. I dont think I would be back to Oxbow.

    Wonderful service in a great party of the restaurant. We were in the room where you can see the chefs working. Great atmosphere. Descriptions of food items on the menu wa so retry accurate but lots of French so I had to google a few words. Overall experience was pretty good. Prices were steep for what you got but that’s just a sign of the times. 8.4/10 I’d say.

    We really enjoyed our dinner here. Everything was great. Food and service were excellent with good prices too. The interior design is beautiful also. And the patio is dog friendly too which is nice to see. We will be back.
