Oz Kafe is in the ByWard Market, Clarendon Courtyards, in Ottawa, Ontario. Situated in a beautiful stone and mortar historical building our restaurant provides the perfect ambiance. Our menu is European-inspired, locally sourced, and veg forward.

Fantastic food in the best location! It is the best place to enjoy your time with your friends. The "hen" is juicy and the "pumpkin pasta" is creamy. I am 100% sure that I will recommend this restaurant to my friend.

My friend and I both had the roasted beets with figs and goat cheese: exquisite! And the rigatoni with a pumpkin cream sauce: delicate and flavourful and perfectly warming for a chilly autumn night. Service was lovely as always. There was a very noisy table near us, but once they left the ambience was back to its usual pleasant and quiet tone. We've been here many times and will be back again soon.

I recently visited OZ Cafe and was thoroughly impressed with the culinary experience. The cuisine here is truly a delight for anyone who appreciates well-prepared dishes. I tried their Grilled Enright Beef, which was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were spot on – a must-try for meat lovers. Additionally, the cheese charcuterie was a standout, offering a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The vibe and ambiance of the cafe added to the overall experience. We were fans and regulars of the old Oz Cafe on Elgin but this is our first time at the new location. I think we must have caught folks on an off night because almost all of our items were off in some way. Salad had apple, grapes and really sweet dressing so the overall effect was way too sweet. The steak had a peppercorn crust type of thing but it was too heavy and overpowered the flavor. And last, the soup had so much sage in it that it wasn't really edible. It's all really disappointing. We'll likely give them another chance but unfortunate for a special night out. I will say though, our waiter was absolutely amazing and other folks were friendly :)

Fantastic birthday spot with friendly staff. Our server and the staff were extremely attentive, helpful and accommodating---we went for my birthday and I brought a cake to be served after dinner, and our absolutely lovely server (she was the very kind, blonde Eastern European lady--my sincerest apologies for forgetting your name my dear!) brought out the cake lit with the candles I provided, and rather than charge a cake-cutting fee, brought out enough forks/plates/knife so we could serve ourselves to avoid the charge. Food was tasty, served at the perfect temperature, and fresh---LOVED the fresh pasta and the pork chop/garlic-basil polenta. The cocktails were also very tasty. Overall a very cozy spot, and it was well worth the trip downtown on a cold, rainy Friday! I will certainly be back.

First visit to the Oz, wonderful dining experience. Would prefer a few more items on the dinner menu. It was a little hard to find due to construction. We called and then were met by a lovely lady who came and directed us to the restaurant. Outstanding service , thank you

Lovely space in the Market of Ottawa. The fried green tomatoes appetizer and the Cornish hen as a main were excellent. Sadly the pasta with sage was a bit too doughy and thick. Great cocktails and wine. Excellent service and would go back for the tomato appetizer which is a solid crowd pleaser.

Wonderful place to bring friends and family. Have had various dishes there: pork, beef, cornish hen - all delicious! Usually start with some charcuterie. So far all wine pairings have been perfect! Great place, unpretentious, but nice environment with the bare stone walls.

This is a hidden gem. We had a hard time finding it, but it was worth it. Small menu but everything they do tastes great. They have a special for charcutier - I think half off on Sunday? Good selection. Worth a shot to get away from the big players on the main streets

Excellent cocktails and delicious charcuterie. Wonderful service, beautiful ambiance. Dinner was lack lustre. The fennel was tough and the mashed vegetables got lost of the broth in the plate. I would go back for cocktails and charcuterie.

Started with a paper plane, some charcuterie and bridged into a wonderful beef main, with a Beaujolais! Kind and efficient service. What a wonderful way to start and evening of frivolity with friends.

Food was incredible, but not very busy which made the slow service a bit more frustrating. Our server was incredibly kind and friendly but there was large wait times between ordering a drink/food, checking to see if we wanted another round, and the bill as well. We were seated around the corner somewhat out of view so perhaps that made the flow/checking in on our table more difficult. We hope this was just a one off because we would happily eat here again if there was improved service

Food and service were absolutely great. I highly recommend the honey cake for dessert. It was a little loud but it didn't bother me that much. I would have given it five stars but the bathrooms were in desperate need of a cleaning.

Dining at Oz is always a lovely experience! It was pouring rain, so it was extra cozy to be indoors. The meals (Ambroise cheese appetizer, beef carpaccio, crispy eggplant, pork chop) were delicious: flavourful, fresh, different combinations and cooking styles from what you find everywhere else. Nice cocktails and wines, and attentive and friendly but unobtrusive service. We'll be back again soon.
