We had heard good things from friends, but I was a little hesitant with some of the reviews I read. Ignore them, this place is AMAZING! Our server wasn’t just friendly and attentive, she was sincerely happy and enthusiastic. The same can be said of those bringing around the meat. And the food was so good! We were very impressed, and will definitely be back. Pricey, but so worth it for what you get. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner an event to remember!

It was very expensive for what we actually got, the drinks were overpriced and the salad bar didn’t have the best choices….most of the meat was very good but not a good value for people with a smaller appetite.

Our waiter was excellent she did a great job accommodating us and was super friendly. The meats where all extremely salty and hard to eat which made us leave early. Some of the servers for the meats skipped our table to attend to the table behind us not sure why? Our card was on green. Food was expensive for the value. $136 for 2 people for overly salty food.

The food here is amazing, you are able to eat as much or as little as you want. The meats are top quality and expensive cuts so you do have great value for what you receive. Any time I visit Edmonton I have to go to Pampa. The salad bar is great as well, my favorite things beside the meats are the broccoli apple salad, the cheese buns and the mint dressing (I use it as a dip for the beef and pork and it's divine). Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys buffet and who enjoys trying new things!

Fell flat in the experience. We went a long time ago, and enjoyed that first experience. Probably didn't enjoy because we had a mid day meal. Food was tasty, but not really worth the cost. I would hope the evening is more lively and buzzing. I hope the salad bar doesn't look as sad in the evening for the extra $20 more it costs to dine at dinner.

We were a little disappointed at this location. We had just been to the Calgary location early August and it was so amazing I day dreamt about that bacon wrapped pork the entire drive back from Calgary . Best pork I have ever eaten . So I decided to take my boyfriend for his birthday but at the west side location. First off service was great so no hard feelings on the service staff .However the little cheese buns I normally love were hard on the outside , the pickled mushrooms I’m obsessed with we’re just ok and lacking in flavour , and to much surprise because it has always been 5 star experience every other time most of the meats we had came out well done and very dry . Some of them we didn’t even eat . We stayed for quite some time and then had a a bit more about an hour later and I’m not sure if they switched out some skewers but when it came out that time it was perfect . I would return to pampas again but unfortunately not this location

The waiter was amazing for us, and very attentive however we very seldom got different choice of the meats, even when our waiter had asked them to come round to us. Being stuffed away in the corned I assumed that’s probably why. The pineapple came around the everyone in the tables in front of us probably a dozen times and ours twice. It was like we were not noticed at all. Kinda disheartening for a 190$ meal. We’ve been many times and it seems each time we are getting less and less choices as we just seem to always be missed, and our waiter even said he asked for them to come around to us. Seemed it just didn’t happen. Not sure we’ll be back for a while it’s getting to be silly to spend that much to get 3 or 4 out of the 13 cuts they had available.

We were placed in a corner where the food barely came. We had to ask all the time for them to bring the different cuts. The Anniversary plate was very nice and that's why we gave a higher rating. The waiters were very friendly, I just wish the food came by more

An excellent dining experience for carnivores. We went with three men who love meat and two women who are not beef eaters. The men enjoyed the selection of beef cuts and the service was excellent. The women ate from the salad bar which was good but would have been even better if one of the hot items included could have been poultry or seafood. This is clearly a steakhouse (as advertised) but a little more accommodation for non-red meat eaters would increase the likelihood of return customers. (To be fair, there were chicken legs on screwers but these are dark meat and hardly worth the cost of the full meal.) The complimentary birthday treat at the end of the meal was lovely. Thank you.

We just celebrated my son’s 47th birthday on August 20, 2023. Pampa is one of his favourite places. While the prices have gone up from the previous time we were there, it is still good value for your money. The atmosphere was good and the wait staff were friendly. Of all of the staff you meet when at this type of restaurant, I would say that the hostess was not overly friendly and she certainly was not dressed properly for someone meeting the public. Having said that, she did not ruin the evening at all. Our waiter was very pleasant and he brought over a little treat for my son as it was his birthday. All in all, it was a great evening! I would do it again.

This is the first time at the west end location. The service was good but, I'm not sure if the meat servers knew that they have to return to the kitchen to cook the meat and Pineapple after cutting off the outside edges. I realize that all prices have increased since COVID but, the quality has dropped and the price has increased by about 30 percent. Not good value for the dollar.

Waited about 20 minutes for the server to welcome us and take our drink order. She didn't tell us what meats were featured. We had to request another menu for six guests because only one was provided. The server never did ask us if we wanted dessert. We did order the digestif, but that took 15-20 minutes. By this time, we were ready to leave, so cancelled it. The manager seemed to not understand that gratuities are for exceptional service, not sub-par service, because he actually argued with us when I asked him to adjust the automatically-added 18% tip. It's not like I wasn't leaving a tip; they just didn't deserve anything over 10%. And it wasn't busy at all. There were plenty of empty tables, and they weren't short-staffed. The entire staff, management included, needs to be trained that you don't get free money just for showing up for your shift. The correct response from a "manager" is to say, "I'm very sorry that this was your experience. How can we improve our service?", not getting all defensive about it.

The service & food was great. A fantastic selection at the salad bar. But for a family of 4, it was over $300 (I had a 9 oz glass of wine & the rest of the family had fountain pop). I knew it was expensive but it was $100 more than I was expecting. We will only go for special occasions, like a date night. Cause I’m leaving the rest of the family at home next time.

Long time customer. Second time in a row experience was below par. One of the Gauchos was very inappropriate. The waitress was good though. Didn't get very much to eat. For the group of four it was basically a $500 meal. Used to be my favorite place to eat not sure what changed.

The food was great, my family really enjoyed it. Service was awesome, we had a great waitress. Being our first time she explained how the whole process works and answered all our questions. The different servers coming around with the different meats did a great job and very friendly. The pineapple was great along with the Brazilian cocktail I tried for the first time. Great selection and choices at the salad bar, everything tasted great. It also happened to be my birthday and they added a little extra to my desert, it was greatly appreciated. We will be definitely going back in the future.

Most of the meat was overdone…being dry and chewy and some cuts had a lot of hard gristle. We also were were consistently being served only half of the available meats on their menu. Some cuts showed up 3 or 4 times before others showed up the first time. The head staff was consistently asking if we had tried everything and when we said no, the told us they’d send the other meats over right away. That happened at least three times but it didn’t make a difference. It took over an hour before we were finally brought the last couple of cuts we had not tried yet. By that time, we had already filled up on the other meat and didn’t have an appetite to try the ones that were not being served to us earlier. I’ve been to Pampa’s numerous times and this was by far the most disappointing experience.

It is an experience, glad we tried it. Basically it is a buffet where you serve yourself your salads and sides and they bring the meat to the table. The bill without booze worked out to around $80 per person. To be walking around a salad bar for that kind of money seems a bit different. They bring the meat around and slice it off in front of you while you take it with tongs. It was an interesting experience but I wouldn’t classify it as fine dining. The staff was great, the food was good, it’s the concept I would alter.

We had attentive staff through every phase of our meal. Great food variety, perfect timings for offerings, fast responses for requests!! Salad bar and other self-serve areas were replenished frequently. Best part was friendliness, seconded only by attention to our allergy concerns. I will highly recommend this spot!

I was very disappointed at the quality of food. The meat was either over cooked or not cooked at all. It lacked flavor and overall just a poor dinner. Definitely won’t return as it was $200 for me and my wife to eat. Not great value.
