   Food was delicious. I was able to book a table on line. We enjoy our visits to the cafe all the time. That’s why we keep returning.

   I used to visit weekly/fortnightly but I won't be going back. Nothing on the menu interests me. Food has so many unknown ingredients I had to look up what they were, and I eat out a lot so I'm not ignorant of the food scene at the moment. I had a chicken burger because there was nothing else that interested me. It was dry and almost inedible. Three quarters was sent back. Staff can't even pour a glass of wine. I tried to scan to order but it wouldn't work so queued up at the counter to order which meant I couldn't enjoy a wine until my meal arrived. Then had to queue again to order coffee which was cold when it arrived. So, so dissapointed that my favourite dining venue has gone downhill. Lots of "oldies" there, including myself, all spending time trying to find something on the menu to eat. Where's all the old staff? Only one working on Friday. At least the old staff were friendly and would take time to explain the menu. You need to think about your guests, the age of them during the week and design a menu to suit!

   On 13 March I visited Paperbark Café for lunch. Paperbark Café was my deceased husband’s favourite nursery café and over many years we have eaten many delicious meals there. Today friends took me to the café for lunch as today would have been husband’s 79th birthday. We were so disappointed by our experience. Your vanilla slices are still MAGNIFICENT!! But the quality of the rest of our meal was far below the standard I had promised them they would enjoy at Paperbark. The share plate was meagre and lacking in variety, and the breakfast burger and chicken burger my friends ordered were very small and disappointing for the price charged. One of them said he would have had a better burger at a fast food outlet. We don’t mind spending the sort of prices charged for generous servings and delicious food, but this is not what we experienced today. Our drinks were fine, but if we come again it will only be for morning or afternoon tea (to enjoy your delicious vanilla slice), but definitely give lunch a miss. I am disappointed and saddened.

   Paperbark cafe and Kuranga native nursery is a great day out for anyone . located in a picturesque spot, the nursery and gift shop are beautifully laid out , easily accessible and even if you don’t buy anything ( you will try hard not too ) a wonder thru is a must . I’ve dined quite a few times at the cafe for breaky and lunch and the food and staff are always excellent.

   The carrot and pumpkin cake was cold, dry and hard. Reported to staff with unsatisfactory reply....it was a vegan cake.
