Papillon's consists of an intimate fine dining room located on the second floor, featuring house specialties such as the Elefante (a 14 oz bone-in veal chop, butterflied and pounded thin, battered and pan fried, topped with a lemon/butter/caper sauce) and the Beef Wellington (hand cut filet wrapped in phyllo dough and baked to perfection). On the bottom floor is Angolo del Vino Wine Bar and Gelateria, serving a small bites menu which features award-winning meatballs, and wine on tap.

I truly hate writing a negative review, but we were very disappointed in our service. We always loved Gio’s and Pappilion’s has continued to provide wonderful food and experiences. Hopefully it was just a off night. Were there with group of 5 to celebrate a birthday. We ordered a bottle of champagne and a bottle of wine. It took them more than 30 minutes to bring our beverages. And, the champagne the server brought to the table was wrong, two times. One was not even a champagne! It was then quite a long time before we were able to order our food. We did receive our food in a reasonable amount of time, after ordering. The biggest problem was someone in the group ordered Beef Wellington. When the server came to the table she immediately apologized and said that the kitchen had prepared the wrong dish, but they would comp us. They had prepared Osso Buco. She gave it to us to try and said if we didn’t like it, we could give it back. The person who ordered this was the birthday guest and of course, they were very disappointed. Overall, a frustrating evening. The other dishes we ordered and received were very good as usual. Hoping this was a one time event, and that management can get the qualified staff they need.

We do have great qualified staff but under the circumstances we fell short. We will surely try harder next time.

Amazing dinner at Papillon's. The staff is friendly and professional, the wine selection is well catered and cocktails were very well made. And we haven't even gotten to the food yet! I had the bolognese and it was, without question, best I've had. Can't recommend them enough... Oh and they have a cool little wine/cocktail bar downstairs. Definitely stop by here for great food on the Northshore.

Our dinner was incredible, ambience was romantic, and service was great. Brooke, our server, was super friendly, personable and quick to answer all our questions-- even checking with the chef to clarify ingredients to simply ease our curiosity. The Chef stopped by the table twice to check on us. incredible experience. Can't recommend it enough!

Greet service and the food was excellent! This place keeps getting better and better. Highly recommend veal picastta and the sausage special. The mussels were the only dish that I did not care for. The broth was too fishy.

Had reservations for outdoor seating and it was a little chilly that day so I called ahead and they were very accommodating and able to move me inside with no trouble. Food was delicious, I can't wait to go back!

The service was excellent. The staff made the weather changes more comfortable and provided just the right amount of attention to the table. We had the fillet mignon and the duck confit, both of which were excellent. The bread pudding was the best I have ever eaten.

This was an amazing restaurant experience. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Chef came out and sincerely asked about our experience. The veal Picard was excellent and the Beef Wellington was the best I've ever had. You have to try it!!!

This was the best meal we have had in quite some time! Osso Bucco and Beef Wellington were perfect. It has been a long time since I was so impressed. The restaurant is on the second floor so be prepared for stairs. We were greeted and seated by a very nice young man that was attentive throughout the evening. The decor was a little stark for my taste but that is just me. Some people like a minimalist environment lacking color. I will definitely be back and recommend Papillon's. Now I can get a little picky when eating at a fine dining, white table cloth resturant. A couple of things that could have been better...We were given fresh bread with olive oil and I think balsalmic vinegar that I did not care for. I asked if I could get some butter and was unable to do so. We were offered cracked black pepper but had to ask for salt. And lastly, when at a nice resturant I think the servers should remove the trash such as empty sweetener packets from the table without being asked. When asked, I was told, "Anything for you guys," in what could have been taken as a sarcastic tone. Perhaps a little more traing is needed These are , of course, small details (I told you that I am picky) and did not really diminish from a lovely, memorable experience that I hope to repeat soon and often.

Didn’t like having to wait outside in the cold until someone was available to walk us upstairs. Food was not hot when it came out. Cocktails were really good. Someone other than our waiter came to our table and asked if we wanted our food boxed. I wanted mine boxed, my husband did not. After waiting over ten minutes (we already paid our bill), we see the lady who took my food to box it talking to several different tables. Our waiter did not come back, so we ended up leaving without my food.

The restaurant has a nice, quaint atmosphere. My wife and I sat at the upstairs bar and had a phenomenal experience. Andy, the bartender, made fantastic drinks and provided great service and added to the experience. The Veal Elefante was fantastic...the best piece of veal I've had in a very long time.

Veal Rosa Maria was okay. Sauce was bland. Lump crab meat best part of that dish. Wife chose the duck which was the better dish. Guy behind the bar also waited tables so service was slow but maybe there was staff call ins?

Wonderful food. Beet salad, Gamberi Cefalù, and Redfish Mediterranean were all great. Cooked to perfection. Large, nice, and reasonably priced wine list too. However, don’t waste your money on the chocolate blackout cake. It was very dry. Can’t give more than three stars, considering the spotty service we experienced. Took almost 45 minutes to get our salad. The kitchen had marked it as “done” without preparing it. Server had to be reminded by management to check on the status of our food. Also annoyed at being charged an absurd $8.50 to substitute veggies for pasta on the Redfish Mediterranean. We’ll probably give this nice eatery another chance, because the food was so darned good. Hoping that next time we notice tiny menu footnotes regarding ridiculous upcharges.

I know that the vegetables are on the high side, however we source them from a local farm and they are not frozen. We have kept prices as low as possible but at the end of the day, we are not making much profit off of them. It is a huge struggle to keep quality ingredients and affordable prices. We look forward to having another opportunity to WOW you if you give us another chance.
