Parallel brings together the experience and background of the three Ozery brothers, Alon, Guy, and Aharon, to create this unique space and product.
“We grew up in a home where sesame butter (tahini) was consumed regularly alongside flavourful Mediterranean cuisine. Parallel was born from our history and love for sesame butter. It’s part of our culture and upbringing, and we want to share that with you.
There are few ingredients that are as versatile, nutritious, and just as damn tasty as sesame butter. That’s why we decided to make it in all its forms: try it in our dressings, salads, dips, bowls, and our famous homemade halva, and seed what is possible.
The three of us share a passion for simple meals with fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and innovative techniques. That, along with our love for good coffee, art, music, and community, is what shapes the Parallel experience.”

Food was phenomenal. Some staff were eating at the bar when we were there which I found slightly unprofessional. Though this fact won’t prevent me from returning. The food is that yummy.

We get there slightly earlier than our reservation. Very close though. They sit us at the bar even though the place is half empty.
Bartender changes the beer tap without cleaning it. She lies about the beer in the tap. We get a dirty glass. Waitress lies to us about our table after I had to ask why we haven’t been sorted even though place is empty and we have a reservation. This place is way to expensive for the experience that you get

We went for a birthday. We were 7 adults and 2 small children. The server went out of her way to accommodate allergies and the needs of the kids. The food was fabulous and the servings sizes were generous. I took one star off for the noise but I think that has to do with the space and high ceilings. We all agreed we would definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Food was amazing and service excellent. Every dish was so flavorful and tasty, spiced it up as it needs and falafels green inside, yes! ;) I want to thanks our server for being so accommodating as we asked to be moved to a different table, I know how hard this is to accommodate everyone when reso are fully booked. Also knowledgable about the entire menu which is very appreciable. Good portion sizes for the price. Thanks again to all the team, you are all amazing, I'll be back!

Service was incredible. Our table was not quite ready when we arrived early and the host brought us falafel to eat while we waited.

I would recommend Parallel's flavourful falafels, yummy kale salads, perfectly crisp and juicy chicken skewers... We also loved the cauliflower side dish but the portion was so small, too small to command the price.

Also the seating was very drafty, so every time the door opened, a fresh gust of winter air blasted the room. A large squeaky cart was pushed out of the kitchen and through the dining room, not once, but twice, with tables needing to be moved and patrons jostling. Not recommended for dining experience as disrupts the atmosphere which has been so carefully curated.

I was on Saturday night with friends
the food is so delicious try the hummus is amazing.
we were sharing all the food the service was better from the last time I was there.
the only disappointed was the eggplant I didn't really like it and they serve it like 30 min after we already finish all the food.

A great place for a casual bite. Modern and clean. Food is good. Service was good. A place to take your jaded New York friends and impress them with great Middle East food in a warehouse/ loft like atmosphere.

The tahini latte was really quite unappealing. I'm surprised they have this item on the menu - it's like drinking curdled milk. I was really excited to try the Black Sabbath - two poached eggs on walnut rye with black tahini (a specialty). When I ordered, they told me they were out of the black tahini and were going to substitute with a beet tahini, which I found to be a strange choice given the difference in flavour profile and I wasn't really pleased with my meal. My friend and I shared the 6pc herb falafels with hummus, and that was excellent. The plates around us looked quite good. If I were to return, I'd want to try the E-Ja... But given the number of brunch choices in the city, the not-so-accessible location, my less-than-great first experience, I'm not eager to return. Lots of young families, with some children who were quite loud, especially in an open-air environment, so just be aware.

I love parallel but didn’t enjoy it as much on this last visit. The falafel came with beet tahini which isn’t as punchy (and just isn’t as right for falafel) as the regular tahini. The salads were smaller than I recall. The fatush salad was chopped very fine which is more of an “Arab salad” than a Fatoush which is lovely chopped in big chunks. It arrived without the pita bits and we had to point it out to our server. Our server did bring a new salad and was generally lovely. We ordered 4 pitas but only two arrived. It felt as if we kept having to ask for things. The knaffe for desert was yummy. Overall, we enjoyed our evening.

The eggplant dish was extremely salty and was supposed to come with a pita but the waitress forgo to bring it. The service seemed to be great at the beginning but it didn't continue that way. Loved the falafels and parallel salad but the rest of dishes were okay.

Our family of 5 loved it. At dinner time, I would recommend a larger group (at least 4 people). Menu items are intended to be shared. With more people, you can try more things. YUM!

We were a family group of 12 from 4ys old to seniors. We seated upstairs which was perfect. All except for one were from out of town or had never been there before. They now consider it one of the best food places in Toronto. This is not a place for quiet conversation but is perfect for GREAT FOOD.

Food was good, but the restaurant is very noisy, asked the server if the music could be turned down-it wasn't. The loud thumping beat added to the noise level of people trying to speak over the noisy music.
Not a place to go if you want to talk to your companions.

The staff was very accommodating with respect to taking care of our every need from time of reservation, food allergy and ensuring we had a great experience. Noisy in a fun, lively and very full way. Wait staff answered questions, came and checked on how we were enjoying our food and did not rush us. Definitely would go back and recommend to friends.
