Parallel brings together the experience and background of the three Ozery brothers, Alon, Guy, and Aharon, to create this unique space and product. “We grew up in a home where sesame butter (tahini) was consumed regularly alongside flavourful Mediterranean cuisine. Parallel was born from our history and love for sesame butter. It’s part of our culture and upbringing, and we want to share that with you. There are few ingredients that are as versatile, nutritious, and just as damn tasty as sesame butter. That’s why we decided to make it in all its forms: try it in our dressings, salads, dips, bowls, and our famous homemade halva, and seed what is possible. The three of us share a passion for simple meals with fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and innovative techniques. That, along with our love for good coffee, art, music, and community, is what shapes the Parallel experience.”

Our meal was excellent and the service was great. My only complaint was that the food came very quickly and as a result we felt a bit rushed. Overall a great time and we will definitely be back.

We went for an early dinner, the only reservation available. Enjoyed every bite. Had a wonderful server who was fun and knowledgeable and on top of all our needs.
The dishes were innovative, fresh and very tasty. Great combinations.
Excellent in-house halvah.

The food is really good but not the service. The worst is location so hard to find parking and not easy accessible by public transport

We made a reservation through OpenTable 2-3weeks before. When we got there, we had a table that was in a tight corner on the main floor, and people including the waiting staff kept having to go through the tiny space in between our table and the next one, which we found disruptive. We asked to be moved right away as we saw empty tables that were benched seating but were told that those people had reservations. We said we did as well and our waiter told us they requested benched seating. We thought this was odd, but okay. When another bench table cleared we asked to be moved again and were told that they try not to move people once they're seated. We had only just gotten our food and were annoyed that it didn't feel like anyone wanted to make us happy. Something was wrong with their speaker system this night because there would be an extremely loud and startling "thud" noise that happened 3 times during the evening. Overall, not happy. The falafels were the saving grace in the situation. They were really good, but that's it. Didn't like the service or the atmosphere.

I had lunch. The menu was simple but had enough choice. I had a sandwich with hummus, tahini and egg and it was very tasty. I shared falafels with my friend and they were among the best falafels I've had. The best thing was the food was tasty and healthy.

Great place. It was my second time there. I went for brunch first and loved the menu and wished the same was available for the dinner menu- particularly the hummous with roasted vegetables.
Loved the ambiance at night- felt more like NYC than Toronto.
Also excellent service and welcoming at the door.

Came to celebrate my cousin visiting from Montreal. We had the falafel, Parallel salad, braised lamb on hummus, deep fried cauliflower, mushrooms and French toast.
Everything was outstanding except the lamb. Probably pass on that next time.
Our server was Jeremy and he was fab!!!! Super fun and great reccos. Will be back! YUM!

Parallel is very great Middle Eastern food, very fresh and good ingredients. The staff are very up happy and up beat and give good recommendations on food. The hummus is made in house and same with the tahini so go try it, it's yummy.

Food was good, but we had a table near the door, no back support, we froze thru the whole dinner. Ambience was terrible, was like eating dinner at Home Depot,,,a video in the middle of the restaurant showing over and over about an accident with 2 cars and people injured ?!? Been to much better restaurants serving similar food

First time here. Made a reservation. Waa seated at a table right by the door. When mentioned to hostess that we were cold and wanted to move to new table, we were told that the other reservations soon to be arriving had ALL reserved specific tables. Sounded silly - and a few other tables away from the door sat empty for at least another hour or so. We were less than impressed to say the least...and shivered our way, in our coats, through the meal.

This was my second visit to Parallel and I will definitely return. The Mediterranean menu is eclectic and fresh and the dishes are prepared with care and imagination. Where else can you get poached eggs served with hummus (Hammshuka) and a "Dirty Chai Latte" that has a shot of espresso? Their organic pitas alone are worth the drive. My companion had the roast beef sandwich with carmelized onions and reluctantly shared only a small bite. The service is relaxed and helpful and both times I had a server who enjoyed explaining the dishes and making recommendations. It can get very busy, in spite of the out-of-the-way industrial park location, so I recommend reservations.

Great food, fair price point, fun location. Table was a weeee bit small for all the share plates we ordered. Service was a tad slow, but I wasn't too bothered by it. Great casual eating where the food really is the focus. Really appreciate being able to reserve a table for brunch to avoid that whole waiting game. Definitely will go back - would love to try dinner there.
