Will never go again; STAY AWAY! Too many great restaurants in Midtown. Terrible experience.
Park Tavern has always been a great experience. Had not been since the pandemic. Sad experience. It was a Monday night. Maybe they have staff on the other nights.
Great place for large groups. Food is burgers, wings etc. but done very well!
No one was at the front to greet us and accept our reservation. A nice black male worker with low cut hair came up to help us out. He was very nice but I did not catch his name. He was wearing a light grey hoodie with light blue jeans. He found us a table even though it was not outside and cleaned it off for us. He made this a much better experience. I really wish we got his name. Three stars because no one greeted us and our outside table was not held as promised.
When we arrived, we were told that they do not accept reservations even though their website had a link for reservations and Open Table accepted our reservation request. The restaurant was closed except for a snack bar with outside tables adjacent to the neighboring public park. The food was sub-standard; there was no service at all. I will never go back to this 'restaurant".
Good was ok nothing to write hone about
Great ambiance outside under the tent area.
I would have liked to know about the fact that there was no service and half the menu is gone before I booked. Very disappointed. There weren’t even plates to eat on. If you have two weddings maybe the restaurant should just close.
Post Covid this was a good choice! The music from the wedding reception was on point too!
Great times with great people. I love the new model. Fresh food fast and enjoyed the atmosphere
I love the park tavern & park concept it's a great place
Unfortunately it's the cheap food that's cold but very expensive 😞 & the lackluster staff that quite honestly I wouldn't pay for nothing those people required because they are just not worth it
they were not running the place they are ruining the place
they were just sitting around looking at you look stupid because you're trying to figure out how this self-service model of no help services worked so you can be fed
that's what people do 🤔
when there's service staff not servicing anything or telling you how to serve yourself in there restaurant
I mean I'm a tourist you might say cuz it's not my kitchen not my restaurant I don't know anything ,that's why you have the people there! right! that's why they get paid right ?well they weren't doing what they were getting paid to do cuz I was totally confused as well as my whole family
it was just a terrible waste of money and left us wishing we never came out it was really confusing & frustrating
Been coming to Park Tavern for 20+ years and they keep getting better all the time. The current model allows for quicker service, faster drinks and fresh food fast. They are dog friendly and have so many options for seating from Inside with ac and fireplaces to out doors with firepits to even sitting in the park. The three convenient bars to order food and beverages makes the whole experience in Atlanta even better. Thanks, Park Tavern
I didn't see anything on the menu that I wanted to try other than the lobster spinach dip. They gave me 2 bags of Stacey's pita chips, which wasn't enough. My daughter ordered the cheese fondue, but not sure why bc that wasn't a good meal. But the guys had burgers, which they ate fine and the fries/tater tots are a la carte. But the seating is first come, first serve and we made the mistake of looking around instead of grabbing the first table we saw, so we couldn't sit close to the windows to overlook the park like we wanted. There were tables set up for a wedding that no one was sitting at, so we sat inside where we couldn't enjoy the outdoorsy feel of this restaurant. Later, I saw people sitting at the wedding tables, so I guess we just made a mistake. But the order process seems to be Covid friendly. They text you when your order is ready and you go pick up your to go plates.
Great atmosphere for a unwinding from the week. Great music- DJ was wonderful and fun then live music in the evening! Was great!!
Tables were filthy. No table service. Forgot to call us to tell us our food was ready for pickup. The food was not hot. Our table was not truly reserved for us. No one walked us to our "reserved" table. Instead, the host pointed out to the dirty tables in the field next to the restaurant and we had to try to grab a table from the mass of people that were there from the park. We had to borrow chairs from another table to have tables at the table we were finally able to get. The people at the table behind us never sat down at the table and stood directly behind me (no covid 6 feet) and laughed and spoke loudly. Their dog kept barking at and charging our dog under our table. No one from the restaurant managed anything. Dirty cups were left on our supposedly reserved table. Some dogs got off leash and were fighting. It was truly a miserable experience.
Great patio seating at the park, very good food as well!
Did not feel clean, given what most restaurants are going through- even outside tables should be sanitzed.
Blood Mary was mostly ice with no garnishes. Was surprised since we were there at Brunch.
Seemed like they were not ready to open at 11:30.
we made a reservation--no one at the desk to welcome us. went to bar and she informed us that we needed to order from her. tossed us some menus...and left. was gone and gone and gone. Not a soul inside to help us either.
we left and went somewhere else.
maybe will return post pandemic, but right now the service is terrible.
Too crowded Too loud and noisy No fried oysters so didn’t eat. Need refund
They do not actually accept reservations! They should be removed from Open Table. We would not have driven 30 minutes and paid $5 for parking if we'd known we would not be seated at a reserved, full-service table. Instead, Park Tavern is essentially a fast food walk-up restaurant. You order at the window or bar, they call you when your food is ready, and you pick it up. Seating is FIRST COME FIRST SERVED! There are no reservations!
It was so crazy we didn’t even stay for our reservation. Smelled like a frat house, absolutely a no from me.
Food was good. Bar service was great. It took a long time for food and the person handing it out was obviously frustrated. A smile would go a long way .
I was there with friends , we all had difffrent food items , and we shared with each other . Everything was really good from the egg rolls to the wings. The servers were too kind and the service was really good
I’m not sure why they let you make a reservations- they do not honor them when you get there. It’s all open seating- first come first served.
The food was very good but the line to order was long. I was surprised that there were zero waitresses walking around refilling drinks or anything. Seems like a few waitresses getting drink orders or refills walking around from table to table would improve the place quite a bit.
Overall we had fun and the food & drinks were great once we got them!
Wings were good but the burger was supposed to be medium and it was over cooked and dry. Was very over priced for the quality of food. There were too many people without masks
I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. It was advertised as a COVID-safe environment, and upon arrival there were 50+ diners eating in the “outdoor” setting. All diners were close together and the promised “open-air” environment was tented. This restaurant is not taking the pandemic seriously, and they lost my business because of it. Overall extremely disappointing.
2nd year doing my birthday dinner here. Most of the staff were friendly and willing to help. Missed the waiter service and the food coming out on normal plates. Only thing that turned me off was a girl at the food counter that gave me full attitude asking for plates and forks for a birthday cake. Was so rude and full of attitude but appreciative I was able to celebrate birthday with friends and family in a fun environment.
It was not at all what we expected. Not really a dining experience as much as a cafeteria-style meal. We had to go the bar and order, then we had to wait for our meal to be ready, we were texted it was ready and then we had to pick up at another bar. As soon as we got there - we were told the bar was closing and we would have to go to the other side to order if we needed anything else. We did. So we ordered from the other side and then had to pick up our food in to go bags to eat in the dining room?
No soda refills so we had to pay twice for drinks and of course, we had to to the other side to order and pick up. No servers (although at the table next to us a whole crew of servers were sitting and talking).
Overall a very frustrating experience.
It is a shame to see the Park Tavern become a commoditized place.
We will not be back.
Not good at all
Good ambience, but covid has changed the operation there. No servers. Food served in Togo boxes
Nice quiet “covid safe”
We did a small get together with friends for a birthday. This location was perfect. The staff were very accommodating due to COVID-19
They had a group of people gathered inside not wearing masks not socially distanced ...I won’t return
We have completely changed our model. We no longer have servers, we are encapsulating our bartenders behind plexiglass shields and making all our staff wear masks 100% of the time. We make every guest wear a mask upon entering and standing in line. We stop people from coming into our facility once we hit established current governmental-standard capacity limits. Our food selections have been cut in half. We have focused on preparedness and coming packaged in recycled/recyclable materials.
Great to watch football and hang out with friends
Was great for a casual place to grab a bite. However, was disturbed that so many people were without masks and no enforcement of it walking around or getting service from bar.
Too many people not wearing mask. Counter Service needs improvement. Several employees sitting around on computers and phones, not doing much and not engaging with customers. I’d rather pick up food elsewhere, and sit in the park. It was disappointing for a date.
COVID fall 2020 - No need for reservations. It’s order drinks at the bar and grab a table, if available
it was ghetto, I do not recommend!
Thank you for your time. We are still located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta in beautiful Piedmont Park. We are sure you have us confused with another establishment.
My favorite spot in Atlanta I love the vibe and the view! And all the doggies!!
We truly love that you love us. Thank you and see you soon.
Nice place. Dogs and dog hair everywhere. I didn’t realize it was a pet friendly place. Caused a bit of an allergic reaction. Otherwise food was nice
