Pasta da Pulcinella
all looking for a place to eat, drink, relax, and, on occasion, order one more bottle of Chianti.
Whether it’s a young couple or a group event, theatre patrons or traveling business persons, everyone basks in the romantic charm of our little yellow house hidden in the shadow of skyscrapers.
My husband and I were in Atlanta for the day and googled Italian restaurants near our hotel. I read all the reviews and decided we'd give it a try. Definately a great choice. Husband is a chicken parmesan snob but gave it a try and ate it all!!! I had a sausage apple ravioli that was out of this world. Staff and service were also great. I would recommend Pasta da Pulcinella to anyone.
This is one of our favorite go to places and we probably eat here 4 times a month. Food/service/ambiance are consistently wonderful. This last visit two of the parties at the table ordered the Salmon Risotto which was way to salty (and we like salt). Our waitress explained it was because it was smoked salmon, but to us it was 'over salted' regardless. Having said this, we will continue to patronize this restaurant, anybody can have an 'off' day and they ALWAYS MAKE THINGS RIGHT for the customer.
Picked out from Google search. Read reviews and was pleasantly surprised with our experience . Definitely go if your in this neck of the woods.
Less expensive parking for a short period of time would be a plus.
Excellent food, and our server was very personable and made the dining experience fun. He also made great wine and entree recommendations. The gluten-free pasta was some of the best I’d ever had.
Excellent as usual! We brought friends who were visiting from out of town, and they raved about it. We love this neighborhood gem!
This place is amazing
Took our GA Tech son here for a nice dinner. The food was all delicious and service was great! Sat outside on porch and it was just lovely.
Wine list and ambience
Food was fantastic
Fabulous as always! Amazing service, drinks, food, everything!
Highly recommend. The service and food were fantastic.
Arguably the best meal we’ve had in atlanta. We’ve been to 5 star restaurants here. This is the best- food, wine, service, price can’t be beat. Our waiter Cole recommended a couple things, we went with his recommendations, and everything was incredible. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Our server, Cole was fantastic. Attentive but not overly so, which I love. He even treated me to a birthday dessert - Thanks Cole! The food was incredible, fresh and tasty. I had the seafood fettuccine and my son had the apple and sausage ravioli. Both were delicious along with caprese and Cesar salads. The peach sorbetto was creative and very refreshing. Will definitely go again.
Only had one pet peeve for the evening. We were sitting in front of the window and this one waitress kept checking her tables outside by hovering over our table to look out the window -- all evening! Very distracting and she didn't take the hint to stop.
Best pasta I’ve ever had. Loved eating outside on the front porch. A charming place.
We got there BEFORE our reservation and thankfully were seated outside pretty quickly. However, we had to wait AT LEAST 15 minutes to put in drink/food orders (it was after 9:30pm). The lobster ravioli was good, but not a fan of the tangy Alfredo cheese sauce. Ambiance is perfect. Could be improved with maybe light music.
Dined here Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding, our waitress pleasant and helpful and the ambiance nice.
We will most definitely be returning the next time we visit Atlanta.
Linne is always the BEST waitperson! Food is wonderful, we go as often as possible!
We had a wonderful, fun dinner for our anniversary! Food was wonderful for the 3 others in our party. I had the gnocchi and supposedly grilled chicken which was on the specials menu. More like chunks of chicken added as an afterthought. Really not good at all. I should have sent it back but my kids would have freaked. Other than that, everything was very yummy.
Took my partner here for his birthday. This was our first birthday dinner together. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It made his evening special. Highly recommend this restaurant!
We ate here on our Anniversary of 19 years. We arrived about 15 minutes late because of weather and traffic. We called ahead and told them we were running late, it was a good thing actually. Our table wasn't even ready. By the time we arrived it was available, thank goodness. The service was amazingly and blazing fast. Our food arrived on our table within 10-15 minutes of placing our order. I ordered the Risotto and my husband ordered the Cannelloni - both of which were very good. Our table was quickly cleared and we were offered dessert right away. We wanted to let our food settle a bit so we ordered cappuccinos which surprisingly did not arrive hot-we had to drink them quickly because they were lukewarm. We finally ordered dessert of creme brûlée' which was very creamy and nicely done with a crisp crust on top. Even though we took our time everything was done in a hours time. It did feel a little rushed. I wanted to hang out a little longer. That being said, we would probably eat here again. For a Wednesday night it was jammed packed and quite loud.
Wonderful, attentive service - timing perfect for a pre-concert meal.
Great dinner! Took my daughter here for her birthday. Food and ambiance were great and so was service. Would go back!
Great mushroom ravioli and bruchetta! Ate outside on porch which was quiet and quite fun. Service was quick and excellent.
Never take a reservation at 8:30pm. The kitchen closes at 9:00pm. First comment host that the hostess is that we must order very very quickly. From 21:00 they opens the lights and passes the broom not too inviting. I do not recommend this restaurant there is a flagrant lack of respect
I stumbled on this find, which proved to meet expectations. The food & service were good. Thoroughly enjoyed the setting. Great hidden gem for a date.
This is a very special place. The food is fabulous! In fact, it was so good that we had reservations on Friday night and went back again on Saturday night while visiting Atlanta. A little off the “beaten path”, but well worth the effort to get there. We will be back.
The service was amazing and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back!
The six of us went to Pasta da Pulcinella before a show at the Fox. We found it to be welcoming, charming, and delicious. Though we live well outside the city, we have put this restaurant on our list for a return visit!
Great food and service highly recommend for a quiet evening out with wife or significant other.
Very nice restaurant. Loved the atmosphere. All of the staff were very accommodating. They all made over our Granddaughter and showed her special attention. Food was excellent.
Waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. The waiter was prob the most enjoyable part of the evening. He was a delight.
The food was average, but the main reasons for the two star rating were the extremely high noise level and the lack of an attentive, friendly server. The setting in an old house was cute, but that could not compensate for the fact my husband and I could not have a conversation because of the noise.
Great food combined with great service plus a fantastic ambiance.
The Tortelli di Mele and Peach Sorbetto were amazing and something I will crave in the future.
My Boyfriend and I made a reservation for this gem when we evacuated for a hurricane. It was the perfect choice for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant is in an old house. It's quite cute, and has a bistro feel.
We arrived a bit early, and were greeted by their hostesses. She noticed that it was our anniversary and congratulated us. She took us to our table, which was near the bar in the front room. The restaurant was extremely busy. After she seated us, she told us our server's name and let us know he'd be by shortly.
Michael (the waiter) introduced himself, and went over their specials and took our drink order. The wine list is quite extensive given the size of the restaurant, with some truly great choices. My BF chose the Prosecco, and I chose Sauvignon Blanc, then Chardonnay which Michael helped us in choosing.
We chose to skip antipasti, and went straight to the mains. I ordered the Tortelli di Mele. Pasta stuffed with sweet/mild sausage, green apples, and topped with basil and a sweet reduction. I know why it's the house specialty. I would drive to Atlanta specifically for that dish. I think I heard 3 tables order the dish just after I had!
The Chicken Marsala was quite good as well, my partner raved about it. We each ordered a dessert; the vanilla bean creme brulee and vanilla bean gelato. The gelato was great, and the creme brulee was good too. The total bill was about $95, which is a steal for the quality of food, atmosphere, and service.
We ate here for our anniversary. Outdoor seating was very pleasant, but the tables were a bit too close together (We felt like we were seated with the couple next to us.). Other than that, we had a very pleasant meal. The Mahi-Mahi was just right!
Absolutely fantastic!!!! Our waiter was very attentive. The food was amazing!!!
I was very disappointed on the mismanagement of how they handled my reservations. When making my reservation I was asked if I prefer outdoor or indoor seating, which I selected indoor because I knew mosquitoes would eat me alive sitting outdoors at dusk. I am a magnet for mosquitoes! Once we arrived, the hostess greeted us and I told her we had reservations, which she explained to me that they are booked, but had outdoor seating. I told her that I had made reservations the day before, so how could I not have a table and that I specifically requested indoor seating. She explained reservations are on a first come, first serve basis... WHAT??? Then, another staff member said a table was about to be cleared and we could be seated, only to find out it would be another 30 minutes to wait. We had tickets for a show, so time was an issue. We opted to sit outside at this point.
The server was awesome and so was the food, unfortunately this did not make up for the "over booking". Of course, I was a feast for the mosquitoes (on another side note: the restaurant did provide me with a nice aroma of bug spray for my use). The manager did comp our drinks which was nice.
Overall, the food and our server were great, and the atmosphere is quite charming, but chances are I will not be booking another reservation... perhaps a "first come, first serve" approach will work out in my favor.
Excellent meal! Celebrating wife birthday and was a perfect place. Everything full of favor!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food and service are always top rate, which is why we return so often. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
Both the food and service were great ... Received plenty of food for what you paid ... Cam was our waiter and he was really good ... Definitely will go back again
