After a very hot college football game it was a pleasant surprise to be able to cool off and have a great meal at Patio 44. 40oz Tomahawk was flavorful and cooked perfectly to temp. Corn meal fried green tomato appetizer is really good. Our staff member Steven was informed and helpful. We will be back.

The AC was broken in July.. The cocktail was made wrong, a Black Russian does not have diet coke in it. Our server when asked about the beer said he didn’t know about the certain one because he didn’t like beer. The redfish plate had a least 10 bones and scales in it on my plate and my moms. The Brussels were extremely undercooked and super hard .. not chewable. The po- boy was not special.. very small frozen like shrimp. The spinach side and pimento appetizer was good. Will not be going back.. sad bc 6 years ago when I lived here this location was a favorite

I wanted to come back and update my review, as I did not have the best experience at patio 44, and it did not reflect the high standards I have come to associate with the restaurant. However, I must commend the manager, Jones, on his professionalism and willingness to address the issue promptly. His attentiveness, understanding, and commitment to resolving. The matter were evident throughout our interaction. It is rare to encounter such remarkable customer service in today’s fast pace world, and I am truly grateful for the efforts. Patio 44 provides an incredible ambience an atmosphere, and we highly recommend you checking out the restaurant next time you’re in town or looking for a great place to eat!

The steak is awesome ! The shrimp Alfredo was “ ok”… the Alfredo sauce was a little too runny. Also, I felt like we should have had a piece of bread served with our pasta dishes .

Patio 44 had a great Sunday brunch - the food was excellent. Eggs Benedict offerings were varied. The waitress was precious! Our reservation was for indoors, and they tried to seat us outdoors (for hearing impaired and the noise level, this was not good - luckily they agreed to seat us inside).

Food was ok, I've had better (shrimp & grits) not worth the price & the portion size is VERY small. We had to sit outside, which was uncomfortable being that the weather took a turn for the cool side on Sunday. The service was good, our waitress was sweet. We were seated, but they never brought us eating utensils, so we had to wait for them to bring that once we got our food. Patio 44 in Gpt & Biloxi is better to me.

- I requested an inside table on the online reservation request, but was seated outside, even when I showed my reservation. The weather was slightly cold and our table wasn't really in the outdoor heater "coverage". Was there something else I was supposed to do on the online reservation request, to ensure an inside table? The reservation was made on March 14. - The food was better than it had been in previous visits...I was very pleased with it! - I ordered a drink from the bar and had five small bugs in it. I don't know if the bugs were already in the glass, or flew in from the outdoor plants near our table; however, my server replaced it without issue. - The food wait was a little longer than normal. - My server was very friendly, but needs to be more proactive, responsive, and a little quicker. - The musician was good. - I probably eat at Patio 44 2-3 times a year. Usually on Easter, Fathers Day, birthday, etc. I like Patio 44, and will continue to visit.

I’ve been here several times of the past few years, and it has been hit or miss with the food but always the best atmosphere around. Last night was a hit with the food! Best I’ve had in a while. Crab fondue for app, crab cakes and asparagus for main, and my friend got catfish and grits! It was all amazing. You finally got the whole package!

This was my me and my wife's first time in Hattiesburg. Had no idea where to eat. Looked up Patio 44 and tried it. So glad we did. Service was awesome, and the food was superb. We will definitely go back next time we come to town.

Crawfish Etouffee appetizer was delicious, service was awesome , shrimp and grits were honestly a bit disappointing. The shrimp and seasoning were delicious…the grits were lumpy.

Outstanding service and the food was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place for a fantastic dinning experience! They had live music on the outside patio which everyone was enjoying themselves! Next time we may eat outside.

Service was beyond awful. Had to wait almost 15 minutes for extra dressing, after I went to the bar to ask because our server never came back to our table. The food was bland. They never gave us ketchup for my daughters french fries. We saw the server maybe 3 times our entire visit and spent $100 w/ tip. I will not return. I told the server it was my daughters 14th bday upon arrival...nothing was said to my daughter - nothing. I feel badly that we wasted her birthday trip to this restaurant.

Maybe the menu is different during the week. We were there on Sunday and other than the brunch menu, there didn't seem to be a lot to choose from. I had the catfish and it had the muddy flavor, which was not good. Everybody else was pleased with what they had.

The service was excellent (thank you, Wes) and the food was great, too. My wife and I started with the black eyed pea sauté and split the chicken and waffles. We finished with white chocolate bread pudding. We thoroughly enjoyed everything.

The restaurant was not very full, yet it took us at least ten minutes (with a reservation) to be seated. The hostesses looked very confused, and it seemed like nobody knew what was going on. It took us forever to get a waiter and a very long time to get drinks. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and several plates of food for our family of six to share. The waiter did not ask how we wanted it brought out, but we assumed we would get the appetizers, followed by the meal since that is what waitstaff typically does unless we tell them differently. Though it was a longer wait than usual, it did not take us as long to get the food as it took to wait for drinks, but they brought EVERYTHING at once: crawfish nachos, debris fries, tuna, and pea saute (all appetizers), blackened chicken, salad with duck strips, shrimp tacos, and a shrimp seafood platter. We could not eat it fast enough to keep the food from getting soggy and cold. With that said, everything was DELICIOUS, and the waiter kept apologizing for the wait. But, it just made no sense. The restaurant was not that crowded. We had a reservation. I understand that getting waitstaff can be difficult, but why offer reservations if you cannot handle the tables? And why on earth would you bring all of that food at once unless the party asked for it that way?

We really enjoyed the ambience of the place; it made us feel like we were in a fine dining experience. The service was excellent, fun and attentive waitstaff that’s patient and answers all questions. The food was not terrible but the seasoning and taste wasn’t there for us. We would definitely go back and recommend to all.

My fiancé ordered a New York strip, medium well. The steak that came out was extremely extremely rare, being dark red in the middle only 2 pieces in from the end. The waitress took it back to be cooked longer, the same steak, and it came back probably cooked for 2 minutes. The place he cut was brown, but the inside wasn’t changed at all. The waitress then took the steak back again and said she would get us a brand new steak cooked. I had already finished my meal, so I was ready to leave, but at least we would get a steak cooked right that we paid for. Wrong, the second steak was half the thickness and even more rare. The waitress had asked us to cut it in half before she left. She took it back to get it cooked again. The chef came back out with her when they brought the steak out, keep in mind this is the fourth attempt at cooking a medium well steak, and the steak was completely cut in half from the first time, and was still at best a medium. If you can’t cook 2 half steaks medium well, then idk what the problem is. They got us a 15% discount and table bread, but doesn’t take away the fact that they are known for “steak and seafood” but can’t cook it.
