Food was great. Only issue was that the Burrata dish did not come with any bread or crackers for $30 and that you have to buy additional bread at $9. The burrata should come with something for that price. Looks like trying to drive the bill price up intentional on customers. Not a good look.

Everything was really good except it was so loud. Hard to talk to people at your own table let alone hear the staff. Love the area and definitely would try again

Went to catch up with an old pal, and while the place was very energetic the noise level wasn’t unbearable! I could still carry on an easy conversation. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

This would be a great spot for a drink - but not so much a meal. Our server was exquisite and was very kind and professional - and she even brought out a little treat as we were celebrating birthdays- the olive oil cake was delightful! The food was not that remarkable, which I did expect for the cost. Also - send some toast points or crackers etc for the tartare - strange to see it served without a vehicle of its own.

Went there with my family and two friends. We were seated in a nice booth but so close to the other table it made it uncomfortable to sit. There were other seats available so not sure why they had put us so close. The large portion of pasta was not very large-my girls had an appetizer then pasta and were still hungry. Loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent.

Lots of hype around this spot, so was anxious to try. The lighting and ambience is dark and hip, which is cool, until you're trying to read a lengthy menu in tiny font. Our server was very nice, and attentive, but did not really speak to or help clarify choices of wines on the list. Some guidance, or choices of wine profiles, would be great from a place billing itself as a wine bar. Open Table insisted that I rate the food, but it's important to note that we didn't eat anything. Food that went to adjacent tables looked beautifully plated, but I can't speak to taste.

We sat outside and enjoyed the perfect weather and nice boardwalk view. So we didn’t get to experience the vibe inside which seemed animated which would be fun too. Our server was great. Knowledgeable and personable and easy to talk to. We interacted all night with her. She was helpful, never pushed but was a helpful guide to the menu. We ordered the steak tartar, burrata with focaccia bread, and tuna crudo (after the server and hostess gave us a free order from a kitchen mistake). All were excellent, delicious, and well presented. Fresh and quality ingredients. Really lovely all around. Unfortunately we were full after that so couldn’t try the main dishes which was disappointing (no fault of the restaurant!). We enjoyed our wine. Good glass selections. The prices were high as is to be expected for the location. But that said we had a great evening and would come back to try the other food and wine. Really enjoyed this restaurant. It’s the kind of place you can go for a quick drink, small bites, or a whole evening and coursed dinner out - whatever suits your hopes and purposes.

Nice evening overall . We decided to try Peacock as a change to our usual spot Obladee. Restaurant was almost empty due to other events in the area but it was still quite loud. Food was just so-so. Service was okay- we sat at the bar and the waitress would loudly interrupt us when we were clearly mid conversation.

Our salad was great but quite small for the price. the focaccia was yummy! We were disappointed in the eggplant sandwich. The roll was huge, there was a small amount of eggplant that was breaded and deep fried and hard. The place was busy and very noisy. it was hard to carry on a conversation even though we were sitting in a corner. A very nice touch was the small glass of sparkling rose when we arrived to celebrate the restaurant's 1st anniversary.

Chef Moira and her team work absolute magic with her ingredients. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive front of house make Peacock a "go to" restaurant in Halifax. You won't forget a meal here for a very long time.

I met two of my girlfriends here for a late supper. The ambiance was perfect, absolutely adorable decor and vibe. The servers were kind and very helpful. I had the Lam & Ramp sausage with the sautéed market greens (garlic broccolini). It was amazing. The spices and different flavours. 10/10 recommend! Oh and the bathroom mirrors, great selfie picture taking spots, 😘

Energetic wine bar on the waterfront in a luxury hotel …there was a bachelorette going on in the restaurant so a little louder than we were hoping :) fantastic service from Kristina, she was very attentive and knowledgeable. Menu is a little limited, $$$$ value but tasty, The wine list is extensive with good values by the glass and the bottle:)

I was disappointed when I asked to be seated somewhere slightly more private but got denied while the restaurant was more than half empty for the 1 hour time that I spent there. There was nothing exceptional about the food or the service, not good enough for the price.

A gem! We enjoyed some truly memorable bites here, from oysters and squash agrodolce to lamb ravioli and morel mushrooms. Service is intelligent and intuitive. We can't wait to return next time we're visiting Halifax!
