Two customers demanded an open window on a freezing night affecting every customer in the place. The windows should never have been opened on such a cold night. The cold temp and uncomfortable interior assured us that we would not return until summertime if ever.
Food was decent but not fantastic... Menu was limited.. Server was attentive but inexperienced..
Definitely a place to dine and grab drinks with friends and/or your significant other, music was great the food was great the ambiance was great I would definitely come here again and recommend to all my friends!
There wasn’t a dining experience because the restaurant was closed when I arrived with two new clients. It was a very embarrassing moment that count have been avoided if Open Table would coordinate their reservations with the current restaurant schedules.
This is the third time in a month a reservation has gone wrong through no fault of my own. OptionalTable seems a more appropriate name for this app, lately.
- A very disappointed long-time user.
We sat in the outdoor dining area, which was inviting with several heaters and nicely spaced tables. We started with cocktails, which all tasted good, but that is where the service issues began to show. One cocktail didn’t arrive with the other three — and it took quite some time for the cocktail to be served. We shared several small plates and each had entrees. The tuna poke and scallops were okay, and the same issue with the entree service. This time it was nearly 15 minutes before the fourth entree arrived. We had a bottle of wine with dinner, which was probably at room temperature inside (it was a warm day), but was nevertheless too warm for Pinot noir. We had heard good things about this restaurant. I would probably return for drinks, but probably not dinner. Something is very off about their service process.
Made a reservation via open table the day before…confirmed and yet when we got there they were closed. Restaurants need to update OpenTable or dont use it. Delivery people were standing out side as well surprise that they were closed. Not a way to run a business.”
Super good food and cocktails. They also make mocktails for non alcohol drinkers.
Come prepared to share.
The wagyu steak didn’t taste like wagyu. The seafood fettuccine was good. And the cocktail was good.
The food was delicious! Our server was attentive. Great experience.
Drinks took a long time to be made
Food service was fast and attentive
Our server was wonderful,
What a nice surprise . Attentive service, excellent food, creative menu.
Portions were well presented and very generous. Easy to get to in downtown Santa Rosa. We wil eagerly return.
Fantastic...drinks were great! Can't wait to return!
We had a wonderful lunch and cocktails at the high top seating overlooking Courthouse Square. This is such an elegant restaurant with elevated design and decor. I talked to the owner and congratulated him on staying through the pandemic. They recently reopened for lunch so not too many people know about that yet. Consequently we had a beautiful spot to have a quiet conversation and enjoy the music, food and cocktails.
Outstanding service and excellent food. Interesting and surprisingly reasonable wine list. Overall a great value.
Had a great experience. First date with this chick so i wanted something nice and chill.. Service was really nice. Shelby was our server, she did amazing. Kept tge wube coming. The food was really good too. i had the Wagyu with mash and mushrooms. it was super fire. overall really good place. would def go back.
We had heard about this restaurant from one of our wine tasting hostesses earlier in the week. We booked a table online. The food was excellent... had the tuna poke and the scallop appetizer. Then for the main course we shared the seafood risotto. We also had a bottle of La Crema Chardonnay which was enjoyable as well. Service and atmosphere was good. I would definitely recommend.
The food was good. We didn’t get much we came more for the drinks. We got two flights of the F Covid, and the drinks were like juice. Not strong at all, tasty but not strong enough. Our waitress made us feel rushed sadly. She kept coming by asking if we were ready for the check, but we still had food and multiple drinks to drink. We were there maybe an hour, maybe. So finally we asked if there was a time limit per party. We left not long after cuz we just felt uncomfortable. So won’t be going back sadly. Cute place though!
Good food, friendly service, great ambiance. A little quiet, but overall a good dinner. 140 bucks for 2 adults and 2 kids with no alcohol was a little pricey for what we got. We will return because it was above average.
Lively even at 7 PM on a rainy Saturday night. Wine list is simple but bottles are reasonably priced (had a $40 2015 Pinot which is $36 on the winery's web site). Quite a selection of house cocktails. Food was tasty (we had calamari with two glasses of prosecco, beet salad and seafood risotto, caesar and ribeye, with dessert for each of us). With tax and tip for two, $258, so not cheap for a full meal (although servings are plentiful: we had enough for two more meals to take home). Noise level is high because the space is open and acoustically live. A nice change of pace for us. Great if you want an energetic, urban vibe with great food.
Slight ding for service: I ordered the hangar steak, but somehow ended up with the ribeye. Probably due to the combination of noise and my hearing. Server did confirm orders with us, but hard to hear.
Kylie is a wonderful waitress. Amazing cocktails and appetizers. A very nice vibe for a younger crowd who like to socialize and have fun. Would highly recommend this to everyone!
Great staff, good food & nice view to the courtyard. We’ll be back!
We ate inside. Despite the fact that the food was quite delicious, and we enjoyed the ambiance, we realized during our meal that the bartender and cooks in the kitchen were not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly. In addition, many of the servers were also wearing their masks below their nose. It was a real turn off. We probably won’t return.
We had a very fun time Friday night, window seat looking at old Courthouse Square festive upbeat environment.
Sorry this was a big disappointment. Uninteresting menu coupled with a heavy hand, left us feeling rather ripped off. Four salads and four drinks $100 without a tip. Ugh.
First time at this new downtown Santa Rosa restaurant. The standard "inside" seating is upstairs with a view of the plaza of Courtyard Square. There are seats along large, very high windows, with sections that open to about 10 to 12 feet across; good air flow too. This provides a very different view of the street scene and the view of the beautiful trees and some modern, some old buildings around the Square. The kitchen and the very extensive bar are upstairs. All of the food preparation and the elaborate bar that creates dramatic and creative cocktails are upstairs. On the street level there are two sections for outside dining, with lots of spacing between tables. There is an elevator and a long stairway to get to the upper floor. Food was delicious, but the menu is somewhat limited. Service and staff were efficient and gracious.
The restaurant was not open, others had 11.30/12pm reservations through Open Table and walked away as we did after 15mins
Maybe an update is required?!
Food and ambiance were nice but it took a while before our waitress shows up while another party was seated after us, they were already served with water. Our waitress was little off and not quiet attentive. She didn’t seem to know what’s available in the kitchen that we can switch things up with. The cocktail flight was over priced also.
Took my reservation over open table- confirmed my reservation BUT THEY WERE NOT OPEN AT SAID TIME. Drove 1-12 hours to meet family there for lunch. Unbelievable!!
Dishes and drinks were slightly uneven. Do not recommend the scallops. The Caesar salad was wonderful but the croutons were flavorless and dry. The burger was really good and the fries were amazing! The octopus was ok- could have been a bit more flavorful . The craft cocktails were disappointing but the standard cocktails were terrific! Staff was at attentive.
This restaurant needs a lot of help if they want to stay in business. ALL of the staff was new & inexperienced. The food was horrible….overcooked, dry, uninteresting. There were 4 of us. We all ordered entrees, a calamari to share to start & 2 had salads. The 1st thing that came out was my entree, all by itself with no appetizer or salads to be seen. We had them take it back & bring the right course. After that, we sat for 30 minutes before we saw food again. Meanwhile they kept warming my salmon until it was a hockey puck by the time they reserved it. The waitress clearly did not know the menu & could make no recommendations on wines, beers, cocktails, etc. Finally the manager showed up & offered us dessert & to comp our cocktails. When my friend finally received her hamburger it had no bun, no heirloom tomato (which was listed on the menu), a HUGE pile of lettuce & nothing else. My friend asked for salt 3 times & finally got up and got it herself. My husband ordered a beer…they brought it in a bottle without the top removed. He had to go to the bar to get it opened. I hope they get themselves together or they are going to be gone. I realize staff is difficult to come by right now, but if staff is new, they need to be trained. The manager finally comped our entire meal (such as it was), which redeemed them somewhat. Beware of this restaurant!
Ate outside. Exceptional service and attentiveness. Food was delicious and wine selection more than adequate. Curbside seating a bit noisy at times but beyond the restaurant’s control. Highly recommend.
Tasteless food, dreadful ambiance, slow service. Bare table setting, had to get up to get salt and pepper, asked for water 3 times, did not have local Pinot noir, ran out of fettuccine, plus think my glass of Zinfandel was off A miserable restaurant experience. AVOID.
Steak. Overcooked. Potatoes. Overcooked. Drinks were good.
Food had no taste!! Very disappointed! Drinks were the best part of the meal
Wait staff seemed like she was high. She didn't even know what wine was which and had to ask us 3 times what wine my father wanted. Then I asked for forks for us because the host had cleared ours and never brought any back (we could have reused) it took 5 times asking for them and then the manager finally came and gave us some. There were only 12 other people in the entire place. The whole experience was not well. The food was just OK but not for the increased prices, I know COVID but still not worth the money for what you get. The only thing that was delish was the lilac cocktail I ordered that had a dead ant floating in it. So I would say it was less than appetizing after that. They have gone extremely down hill since they reopened.
Interesting variety of cocktails. Had 3 different one: Naked & Famous, Old Fashion, Dusty dream… dusty dream reminded a soap))) had also octopus… will recommend to Chef to make it more soft, cause it was too tough/hard to cut and eat, and to much grilled (had some burnt-sacrifice). Very tasty and would have one more time steak with delicious mushrooms, it was so yammy.
Overpriced, very noisy, food mediocre. Service ok, but even the servers had trouble hearing.
Food arrived cold after waiting almost 40 minutes for our meal. We had to send the entrée back to the kitchen. The bill, without alcohol, was almost $75 for two salmon entrees. Not a great value. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. We sat on the outside patio and the noise from the bar next door often made talking difficult.
Overall not great. The salad we ordered was missing about three ingredients listed on the menu. When we told the server, she said the kitchen told her they were "out" of those items. Probably should not have let us order the salad if that was the case.
Calamari was clearly frozen and not made there which is surprising since Sonoma county has access to great, fresh seafood.
Mushroom risotto was overly salty and overcooked.
The cocktail flight had one decent drink and other three were terrible.
It felt like the least value I have ever gotten out of spending $110.00
