Percheron, the rooftop hotspot at Crossroads Hotel is back for the 2023 season. Regularly cited as one of the city’s - if not the country’s - best rooftop bars, Percheron is the place to sip in the sun, connect and enjoy the city’s most iconic views. This year, Percheron Concert Series returns as well as a regular lineup of DJs on Friday and Saturday nights.
Bright, sunny, and cheerful, Percheron takes its name from the famed horses of the once Pabst Brewery, a breed known for its intelligence and liveliness. The venue’s vibe channels its namesake breed, with spirited groups of locals and tourists alike filling the low-slung cozy couches and convivial picnic tables throughout the season.
For those who prefer to plan ahead, Percheron accepts reservations for groups of 6-16 with a $100 table minimum per reservation. Any cancellations within 12 hours of the reservation time will result in a cancellation fee of $10 per guest. Seating/table requests are welcome but are not guaranteed.

Waited about 20 mins for just drinks. Bar had to close because of weather and they charged the drinks any way and we never received them. Had to ask for a refund.

The view is great. The food is okay and limited. The charcuterie was tasty. The humus was fine, but pita bread provided was very sparse. The potatoes dish was a favorite at our table. The drinks were creative. Two servers, one very attentive and one was not. The menu is quite limited and could be expanded. The guys left hungry. We also advised we would be bringing in cake as nothing like that on the menu and we were celebrating a 50th birthday. Cake was not able to be stored somewhere cool and began to melt. We cut the cake as it was starting to fall, and then we were told we would be charged a cutting fee per person. Had the restaurant helped store cake, provided cake plates, a knife or offered to actually cut the cake for us, that would have been fine. When we had to cut it ourselves with a plastic knife and reuse silverware and plates that seemed lame. Overall, would go back for the novelty and view with out of town guests, but we were underwhelmed and felt it was price for the dishes offered.

I chose to bring a group of friends here on a Wednesday evening for my birthday. I had seen the great reviews and was looking forward to enjoying the views. I made a reservation for 10 well ahead of time. When we got there, the host said "yeah just find a place to squeeze in"...but I made a reservation? When I clarified with him that I had made a reservation, he said "yeah I know I'm looking at it right here, but people just sit where they want and we can't make a table for you"...ok great thanks. The service was slow to begin with. When a few of my friends placed orders for a second round of drinks, they never came. The drinks that we did receive were pretty good. The redeeming quality was obviously the views and the ambiance, which was fantastic. For that, I would come back. Otherwise it was a pretty disappointing visit.

Very poor service. We went here for a work happy hour with a reservation for a group of 9. It took 20 minutes after being seated before our server came over. Then the drinks took another 20 minutes to arrive. Round 2 of drinks took just as long and one was missed completely.

Horrible service. Had one waitress for 12 tables- waited an hour and a half for one drink. Table wasn’t ready for us - was told we could only have it for an hour and a half even though we had 2 hour reservation. Seemed extremely unprepared for opening night!

We had a business dinner reservation, we arrived and were told a band would be starting shortly after and could take our drinks downstairs. It was highly disappointing that this was not mentioned when we called to make the reservation even after mentioning it was a business diner. Our out of town guests were disappointed as the views from there were great, we ended up leaving and eating elsewhere. Recommend communicating these events more.

First time visit to this establishment. The location is hard to find. I tried to call multiple times but the restaurant itself does not have a phone number you have to contact the hotel. Once we arrived we were directed upstairs to the roof. The hotel guest were friendly. Once we were sat at the rooftop bar that’s when everything went downhill. Our server was very RUDE and his energy was as if we were bothering him by asking questions. We let him know we have never been at the establishment before. The drinks we ordered were not that great and pricey. Someone in our party asked where the restroom was and the server response was “it’s one on each floor.” We asked again and got the same answer. We again reminded him we have not been here before. He asked for our debit/credit cards to hold for our tab. We informed him we were paying cash. He insisted he needed everyone’s card to hold. Our cards were held but nothing was charged or preauthorized like a typical hold. After we paid he sat everyone’s change down on the table and walked off. We had to sort through them ourselves and figure out who had what. His presence, energy and demeanor was not what we expected, especially for such a pricey place like that. Will not be back or recommend.

Walked up to check in for my reservation and the host immediately said “We are booked and at capacity” without asking if we had reservations. I felt this was pretty rude. Server was not very attentive to our table. Ambiance was very nice and view was beautiful.

We made a reservation for a large birthday group. They were *extremely hard (too hard) to get ahold of to make the plans! Main reason for coming was the view and dance music. Turned out there was no dance music despite the DJ. When we asked the DJ, he refused to play any dance music. 😳🙈 Prices are very high so unless I know what the DJ is going to play ahead of time, I will probably (am) go somewhere else.

Music was far too loud for any meaningful discussions with my table mates. Service was very slow. Website suggests a business casual dress code. But I observed many people in shorts, t shirts, gym clothes, etc. Beer was served in a can. Fine for a backyard BBQ, but not the best for an upscale nightspot. Not for me...I shall not return.

We had an incredible girls happy hour on the roof. We did move downstairs because of the rain. Cocktail selection was great. They also make a tasty margarita. Staff was helpful. The focaccia and the olives were both delicious.

We had a group out for a birthday. Our table was sat right in front of the "DJ" so it was incredibly loud....not a huge deal...but not ideal when you are out with a group of friends wanting to talk. Service started out pretty good.....but then was nearly non-existent throughout our time there. When we were ready to leave, it took about 15 minutes to find our server and another 15 minutes to receive our tabs. Upon getting our tabs, nobody had the correct drinks charged and our group was charged for multiple more drinks than we ordered. The initial response to correct the situation was to "pay the tabs and just Venmo each other", with us mentioning that we were charged for multiple more drinks than ordered being ignored. After speaking with the server and explaining how literally nobody had the right tab, and there were additional drinks charged, she said she would talk to a manager to help get it figured out.....this only complicated matters more. The manager resolved nothing, still stating that we were only charged for drinks our group ordered and to figure it out individually. This was not true, nor helpful. She went as far as to say the server "needed to work on her organization skills." After trying to determine who was charged for what, or how many excess drinks were added, the manager continued to insist it was correct....just incorrect. Annoyed with the situation, we decided to pay and leave, as it was going nowhere. Even when we paid, they managed to use different cards for different people's tabs in the group. All in all, what was supposed to be a fun night out, with a great view, turned into a big hassle with multiple people paying for 5 drinks when they had two, etc. etc. Between the poor service, loud house music, and overall frustration, I do not see myself going back.

I made reservations for my friends birthday for a party of eight which I was charged $90 for. Part of this fee included a punch bowl of some kind with a free appetizer which my party was not served. I had previously spoken to someone on the phone and asked about this however when we arrived and asked for this it was never given to us

Hi Olga! When making a reservation, we require a credit card to hold the reservation. The only instance in which we charge the card on file is when a group falls under our cancellation policy--any group who No Shows is charged a $10/pp fee. The Punchbowl is a required purchase day of the reservation and is not charged to the card on file (I can confirm your card was not charged the $90). We do not offer free appetizers with a reservation booking. Apologies for any confusion!

Percheron was a very nice spot! Micah, our server, was fantastic! She did a very nice job recommending drinks/food to try and was very attentive! Some of the drinks were not great, but just because they weren’t to our taste! We tried almost all of them, and the Iced Coffee was a definite favorite! We would definitely go again!
