It was 5pm a Saturday night and... We were literally ALONE... Another family came around 6... But when we left, there's was no other client..
I didn't feel it was an Italian restaurant... It was more .. cheap and ordinary. But it wasn't bad.

The food was good, the service was really good too.
Food is always excellent. However, the service is terrible. During peak seasonal periods like Christmas, service is terrible. Owner/Manager should always have more people on the floor and in the kitchen for service during those times (no excuses, there are agencies to provide overload personnel). We are working class workers not bosses and we only have an hour to eat, more like 45 minutes from ordering to paying, if you count the time to get to and from the restaurant. By the time we got our plates to eat, our lunch period was finished. We arrived late at work. I do not blame the waitress, I blame management. I will no longer come and eat at Peroni's during peak times, which is sad, because Peroni is a nice place to eat for special occasions.
The restaurant was a bit hard to find when you have never been to Montreal before, however, the food was very good and great portions.
The night I went with my daughter they were having a comedy show which should have been my first clue that this wasn't going to be good. We were seated away from the show (which hadn't yet started). There was absolutely no ambiance--I felt like I was in a low-lit cafeteria. The server took our order and soon came back to get clarification of my daughter's order that she had just taken two minutes prior. The server was also tending bar and the seats for the comedy show were filling up. I was brought the wrong entree and the server tried to imply that it was my fault. The kitchen quickly fixed it, but honestly, it was average at best. It was a plate of tagliatelle with a bland sauce and some shrimp and calamari. We decided we wanted to just pay our bill and leave. I tried several times to get our server's attention who was tending bar in front of us. I called out and waved my hand. I finally resorted to getting up and walking a few steps to the bar to ask for my check. I couldn't wait to leave.
Wife and I attended a stand-up comedy night here last week during our week in Montreal and ate supper here prior to the show. Tables were quite close together, not unusual for a comedy venue, and the noise level was quite high with the number of diners present. Neither one of these issues were a problem for us. Several televisions easily viewed to watch sports. The food was excellent quality and very reasonably priced. I had one of the best steaks that night, wonderfully tender and expertly cooked to rare as I ordered it. Delicious. The servers were incredibly busy, but they were also very efficient and friendly and we didn’t have to wait for anything. After diner we stayed for the comedy and drinks and had a great time. This is not a fine dining restaurant, but we weren’t expecting fine dining, and yet the food was on par with fine dining. Quite a gem. We will come again when we visit Montreal again next summer and catch another comedy night here. Very much recommended. Greg & Marcia from Chatham, Ontario
Food was great! Wine pours were generous! Location very convenient. The only thing that was lacking was the ambiance. It’s a rather bland big open space.
Went for the comedy show and also had dinner. The food was okay. Service was good. Clean rest rooms. Comedy was fun.
Enjoyable meal and leftovers still taste good the next day. Not the easiest place to find because there's no signage from outside. The voucher for free parking after 5pm was a huge bonus. Worth a try if you're visiting downtown Montreal.
J'ai aimé mon repas et l'ambiance en général. Par contre, je n'ai pas aimé être dans un recoin (près de l'entrée). Personnellement, je préfère un restaurant sans télévision. J'avais une télévision juste devant moi. Mais ça, c'est du ressort du propriétaire. :)
Lorsque je vais manger au restaurant, ce n'est pas pour regarder la télévision.

The Mediterranean Salad was fresh but the calamari were over “fried” very chewy.
For $14, it’s ok.
I had the bavette sandwich which was seasoned well and good sized portion
my wife had the pizza unfortunately it was bland not much flavor coming from the sauce or the toppings
crust was slightly undercooked to our taste
overall a worth while dining experience

The service was great however the food was terrible, flavourless. We were a party of 4 and none of us finished our meals.
The food is very good, the portions are very satisfying and the service is quick.
We we’re a little concerned our party of eighteen arrived to an empty restaurant at 7 on a Saturday. The good news is ...the reviews we’re accurate...good food & service. Our server was outstanding, everyone enjoyed the meal . Calamari awesome. Beers were ice cold and the Cabernet was served with a smile. Would go again . A little difficult to find , up the stairs and access via the office building doors.
Some of the best chicken parmigiana I ever had! The comedy show after was a great time and the staff were fantastic! Will be coming back!
We ordered 3 anre of calamari and 1 burger it took exactly 45 minutes to provide the food and we left the usual tip of 15%

Had a business lunch for 4 people. We were seated in a quiet area and were able to discuss our affairs quietly. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good value for money.
Went to Peroni's before hockey game, so was a quieter time of the evening. Found the service very good. Food was quite good. Was able to make a change to the Table D'hote pasta choice (so was great they accommodated this). Enjoyed the location, food, drinks and very good service. Would recommend it.
