We planned my dads 80th birthday dinner here and were denied bringing in his birthday cake. The hostesses at the front were rude, our portions were tiny, and the steaks were over seasoned. $300 for three people.

I booked a reservation at 7:30 and arrived at 7:28 to be told they were at capacity and would be a 30 min. Wait. What is the point of the reservation? I asked if there was any accommodation such as a complimentary dessert or discount and nothing was provided. Food was good, but steak’s are better at Steiner Ranch. The atmosphere was gorgeous and waiter was very polite.

Food served cold, I get that they were staging the meals. Second plates brought out to replace cold meals. There were still spots of cold in the meal om items that were supposed to be warm. Dried out mashed potatoes and stuffing.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Perry’s. The food was excellent and the server was attentive even though it was very crowded that evening. The steak was cooked to perfection and the salmon was very good. The butternut squash was delicious.

Booked reservations for Thanksgiving dinner for 2...3weeks in advance. Showed up for our reservation (on-time) and we waited 50minutes after our time to be sat. Turkey dinner came BEFORE our soup that was part of the meal. Place absolutely over-booked and didn't CAP their reservation limit for a holiday. We spent 2.5hrs between waiting for our table, and dinner. Save yourself the hassle...DONT BOTHER COMING HERE FOR THANKSGIVING. Very disappointed with both service and the food.

It was Thanksgiving so I expected there to be delays and moderate service. But no! Service was great. We were sat essentially on time, and waiter was attentive. Steaks were perfect and enjoyed the sides and salad, though they weren't super memorable. Had a French 75 that was terrible. They were willing to exchange but the bar service was a bit slow so I let it go. Would definitely recommend Perry's.

This was our second trip to Austin, and our second time at Perry’s. Both experiences were worth every penny - the food is done to the perfection, the service is top-tier, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. 10/10 would recommend. Extra shout out to Hunter for taking such great care of our family on Thanksgiving.

Food was served cold. Ice tea was never refilled. There was no spoon provided to stir tea. It was difficult to flag down a service person. Lemon had a greasy substance on it. Food was under salted and there were no salt/pepper shakers. We were charged for a Dr. Pepper which we did not order. Bread was served with no bread plates. No bread refills and that was the item most edible. We had to use a serrated steak knife as a butter knife. Food was poorly prepared and was oddly flavored with bitter herbal taste. The reduction used to make gravy had gamey taste. Turkey breast was served with dark meat (not as described) Mashed potatoes had a hard shell. Dining room was freezing cold which I mentioned to the server--nothing was done. Wait staff especially hostesses (mean girls) were rude. We are an elderly couple. We were very polite and our requests were met with eye-rolls. I refrain from sending food back fearing a big loogie in our food. Total lack of attention to detail on all levels. This is not a friendly welcoming place. Just another snotty, overpriced Austin restaurant with bad food.

Our table ordered the 14 oz ribeye, the pork chop, au gratin potatoes, grilled vegetable sides, and the chocolate dessert. The ribeye was delicious, but came in second to the pork chop. We are not sure how they season it, but was so flavorful and not tough. Our waiter, Michael, provided excellent service. Overall, really enjoyed the experience.

We booked this for Thanksgiving dinner. I want to say our waitress Rachel did a great job, and this is not a reflection of her. The food was almost inedible. The soup was cold. The main entree was cold, the green beans were underdone, and the turkey was so dry as if it had been under a heat lamp all morning. Very disappointing.

Very fancy restaurant with AWESOME food. The pork chop is famous for a reason - so good! The Thanksgiving day menu was just ok, I’d suggest ordering off their regular menu. The service was great, and the drinks were delicious.

I've been to this Perry's many times, and always had a better experience than we did on this visit. I think they were just slammed. We got sat for our 7:30 reservation at 8:00. Our waiter was off his game ... we had to ask for steak knives! The food seemed overly salty. I thought perhaps it was just my entree, but my dining companions remarked on it as well. Finally, their prices have gone up since I was last there. More expensive, lesser quality, and lesser service .... I'll be thinking twice before heading back to Perry's, at least on a busy night.

We arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated at a table in the bar area. The server was quick to get our order. We shared 3 apps which were all delicious. The restaurant was very busy (Sat night), but everything was delivered quickly. Overall a great date night experience!

We made reservations for an outdoor table. The waitress treated us like we were less than the other guests. We wanted to have a nice dinner experience. She could care less we were there. Suggested nothing, had a beg to find her to get a glass of wine with dinner. Never checked on us. Not the service I expected from a nice restaurant. The food was fabulous.

Food was excellent, service was just above average. Ambience is where things suffered. Not sure what was going on with the clientele last night, but we were really surprised at the amount of Hoochie mamas/hookers in the restaurant. A message to management, if a woman comes in, clearly not wearing anything underneath her dress, and you can see it, maybe say something. Also- The bartender seemed irritated and hurried at 6:30 PM. Overall feel is that Perry’s has lost some of its shine. Maybe the stellar staff moved to newer steak houses in the area. Not sure.

Service from our waiter wasn’t very good. He never refilled my daughter’s lemonade. He would disappear and not check on us for a long time. I don’t know if he had another section that he was serving but for us service wasn’t good. Then he would spill water on the table but would not even clean it. I really thought this restaurant was going to be better than that for what you pay for your food.

We celebrated a family birthday at Perry’s last night. It has become our tradition to take our family there for our son’s bday every year. The food was great and the staff was delightful. the lobster bites and crab cakes are awesome appetizers.

The food was delicious! Timing and space were not ideal. Our appetizers didn’t come out together and then we weren't able to get to everything before the entrees came out. We had a party of 6 adults and they sat us in a booth and the table hardly had enough space for our entrees, we had to keep shifting things and asking them to take things away. Will definitely request a table in the future. The bar was spacious and service was great. Would definitely recommend parking in one of the nearby garages or trying for street parking because Austin PD gave me a parking ticket after my car was handed over to valet!

Very loud due to a large party on upper level Had to wait a long time between appetizer and main Reason They had some special guests in !! I asked for a Caesar salad to accompany my steak It arrived with my appetizer so became warm limp and soggy They did ask it I wanted it replaced but by that time I was halfway through my steak The waiter cleared plates whilst others were eating leaning over them to clear. For the price we paid I wasn’t impressed with the overall experience.

Took a while to be seated even with reservations. Also we didn't get a server for a long time as well. Our filet Mignons were over salted and overcooked. The potatoes Au Gratin, the drinks and atmosphere were there only good things about this experience. We won't be returning.

Terrible experience for my fist time at this restaurant. I was seated 30 mins after my reservation was booked. I ordered wine and it took 25 mins for the wine to come. The waitress placed the unopened wine on the table, took a different tables order, brought bread to a different table, and then came back to open the wine. The food took forever to the point I didn’t want it anymore when it finally came. She asked if I wanted dessert, which I normally would have ordered, but I couldn’t wait another hour for it to come. The food was good but the service was so awful, I would not step foot in that place again. Not what you would expect from a higher class restaurant.

We loved the value of the 3 course pork chop dinner on Sunday night. The meat was delicious but so huge. I wish we were warned that it was so large and we shouldn't have each ordered one. I could have ordered something else but it was truly delicious. The vegetables were equally delicious. The wedge salad was really good but way too much dressing. It had great flavor. Our waiter was very good but very busy and we didn't see him too much. He was really nice when we did see him. Overall we were very satisfied and would come back to Perry's again!!! We gave half of our leftovers to a homeless man sleeping on the street on the way home.
