   Perspectives was a fabulous venue to celebrate with our parents, who have not been to a restaurant in 2 years due to Covid. Our dinner was delicious, our server Rolly was attentive and our tastebuds were delighted.

   The food was fantastic. We had the green Thai chowder and the lamb saddle. Best I’ve had for a long time. The staff are friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, it’s not a place for a special occasion. The dress code is ‘smart casual’ but that’s not enforced… people were wearing baseball caps, t-shirts, board shorts and sandals and there were tables of yelling & screaming out of control children. Still the food was really REALLY good and the service was sensational.

   Our experience was fine. When we arrived for our reservation we asked to be seated outside as it was a nice night. We were told it was too busy. There were about 4 tables and 10 total diners. Never seemed busy to us. I’d made my reservations a month before and got seated inside off in a corner where service was seldom seen.

   Excellent food and service. We love perspectives for the quality, value, and ambiance. The outdoor patio is beautiful but de to the threat of thunderstorms we were moved inside.

   Service was very slow although our server was super pleasant. It’s a shame they didn’t have more staff. Food also arrived lukewarm but was very tasty. We had requested to move our reservation up by thirty minutes but was told the restaurant was sold out. Upon arriving the restaurant was mostly empty and believe it was due to low staff.

    Brookstreet’s restaurant is amazing. The food is always delicious, with great flavour combinations. The waiters are polite, professional, but very friendly! I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

    Food is ok over all . Not great value for what you get . Sushi is really good but over all menu needs an update . Service was awesome thanks Micheal :) wine selection is not great as well. Ambience on the patio is great and was very quiet except the pool gate that keeps slamming while you eat . Patio heaters are a great touch :)

    Vegan options are very limited and even salad I took was just mixed spring.I hope they be more creative in their vegan options in future because I go there a lot.

    We had family visiting from Quebec City. The storm knocked out power at our home but luckily for us the restaurant had power and we were able to enjoy a wonderful meal. Our waiter Jerome was fabulous and entertaining. It was our first time eating at Perspectives since moving to Ottawa last fall and we’ll definitely be back !

    Service was not great. Possibly due to new staff. The server didn’t seem to know the menu well. Service was also incredibly slow. We sat close to 45 min before receiving our first drink. Food was also not great for the price you pay. When my husband made a complaint about his steak the solution was either, eat it the way it is or order something else. Cooking another steak didn’t seem to be an option. It made the situation feel a little awkward. The experience was a let down as we had high expectations!

    Good food and very good service. Seated on time. Ambiance is OK at best but clean organized and not crowded with other patrons. Ordered the daily table d'hote and was happy with each dish. Recommended for special occasions etc.

    It was a beautiful evening and we thought we’d take advantage of the beautiful weather. The service was great and the food was amazing. My only complaint (and that’s just me) were the mosquitoes and the loud music from the nearby pavilion where there was a reception taking place. Nothing bad at all and not overly loud either. I am happy of the fact that live events are coming back as the hospitality industry and everyone who works within it need it.

    This was my partner's birthday celebration. We did not realize their menu was about to change on the first of the month with no website warning, just after the reservation was made, so the buffalo rib-eye was gone. Instead, had the lamb and a stunning Australian shiraz (Kingston Estates). Menu wine list far too short for the centrally featured cellar. Had to ask for complete list. Minor issue with cool vegetables. Communication could be much better; despite the hostess knowing, and the reservation indicating it, they dropped the ball until a casual comment about a birthday when two generous glasses of prosecco appeared just before the check was presented. Server unaware. Not busy, but we mostly poured our own wine. Overall, not nearly what I would expect of a 5-star dining room, but still very enjoyable. Not in Ottawa area often, but not likely to seek it out again. Just too many wrinkles. (Check-in was superb by comparison.)

    The menu had been changed from what was advertised. The food was good but very small menu and more lunch than brunch other than one typical breakfast offering. Wouldn’t have driven 30mins had we known that. The service was good but parking was pretty limited so took a while to find a spot.

    Delicious meal and great service. Our server seemed to always be around if we wanted anything. Food was great too. Fast service. It seemed like we were the only ones in the restaurant even though it was full. Very impressed.

    No one came to my table for 15 minutes, I had to ask the hostess to send someone over. Waited another 10 min for the server to come. We ordered drinks, they never showed up until after our food was served (had to ask for our drinks 2 more times). Food was ok but server got a few items ordered wrong. Took another 20 minutes for the bill to arrive. Very disappointed considering I was there the night before for dinner and had a wonderful experience.

    They was a dog in the restaurant , when I saw that I told myself that I should of brought my guinea pig ..Didn't like that we were sitting in the back , couldn't see the band are anybody else ...The food was expensive for what I had in my plate. The Best thing was the waiter , he was very nice .Will not go back to that restaurant .

    Food is so good. Looks beautiful and tastes even better. The cocktails were fabulous and the breakfast is bar none the best I've ever had. Eggs benedict with chives, salmon and avocado. Guess it's true what they say about millenials. We love our avocado toast!
