   Overall the restaurant was unorganized. At first they tried to seat 6 people at a tabled for 4. They did address this. Then we were given two different menues for both restaurants and then a separate menu for drinks. This made ordering confusing. I booked the restaurant for the variety of the food, which includes sushi. We were told they did not have sushi that night. Service was slow. One meal came out almost 10mins after everything else and it was a salad. The experience did not meet my expectations and I would not go back.

   Nice atmosphere. Friendly service and tasty food that was enjoyed by all in our party ranging from 15 to 80 years old. Table d’hôte offered good value. A good choice for a special occasion if you’re staying in the Kanata area.

   The food at Perspectives was outstanding. Our server was friendly and tried his best, however he needs to trained a little better. We were left to pour our own wine all night and they forgot my wife’s dessert.

   Had dinner with a group of friends. We waited 1.25 hours for bread, which we got 10 minutes before our meals. I was the only one at the table who never received their meal and the waiter said NOTHING. I had to flag down the manager to ask if I would be fed that night. The manager told me they were just cooking my chicken to temperature. When I asked if it was forgotten, he fessed up. But don’t worry, he didn’t charge me for my chicken which I finally received at 9:30 PM. We weren’t even asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. Even after forgetting my dinner, the next time the server spoke was to give us our bill and take our credit card. He never once apologized for the mistake. We all make mistakes, to me, it is how they are handled. And in this case, it was not handled well.

    We had a girls luncheon. The service was impeccable, the food outstanding, can't say enough about their club sandwich, salads or fries, they even accomodated us by making a vegan one. We were not rushed even after they had closed. The staff was professional and very courteous .

    Food was okay. Could have spent less and gotten better tasting food elsewhere. Was hoping for the lunch menu, but when we arrived at 12:30 pm, they were only serving items from the breakfast menu. I saw nothing about this on their website. I wanted to book a special lunch for a birthday. Nice atmosphere. Service decent.

    Dinner was not acceptable for this level of dining pork tenderloin was dry and tough and was an unusual combination with crab. My dish was whitefish was also unacceptable in a strange salsa looking sauce. Two small pieces of whitefish which was not hot. Should have ordered the salmon.???? Wine was fine and dessert was fine.     I ordered Buddha Bowl ahead as I have food sensitivities, it was excellent. Others had pancakes that were good but not outstanding, these were ordered because egg dishes were too large.

    Easy free parking. Easy access to dining room for elderly couple with walkers.Excellent friendly service by server, Eduardo. Kitchen accommodated our request to share a main meal and cook the steak accordingly. Wine menu has shrunk over the years but still enough choice. Ambience is quiet enough to allow comfortable casual conversation.

    Waited 15-20 minutes before the server came around to get drink orders, bar was busy so wait a while for our first drinks. When we wanted to order appetizers and the order entrees later. We were told that they need to order everything thing at once so they can pace the food coming out. That was a mistake, we got our appetizer (carpaccio) and within 5 minutes our entrees (sushi) came to the table. Overall it was an okay experience. Unsure if I’d recommend.

    Made online reservations for options jazz lounge for the live music. We were happy to learn you can order off the main restaurant menu until 9pm. (condensed after that). the server found us a non alcoholic bottle of sparkling wine off the menu and the food was wonderful. We had carpaccio, and sushi combo and mushroom gnocchi for mains. Only critique would be not the greatest seats in the house which were by the main entrance with a slight draft coming through occasionally. Will be back!

    Dinner options were solid and food was delicious, in particular the gnocchi dish!! The new budha bowl was also very good! We enjoyed the cauliflower bites as an appetizer, great flavour and the new desserts, strudel and chocolate pecan donut cake were fantastic!! Our server Deborah was fantastic and right on point, she even remembered us the next night and came over to say hi. The only disappointment was breakfast, I had classic benedict and my poached eggs still had some runny whites.

    It is really time for a menu change. I don't eat meat and the only thing on the menu that appealed was the asparagus - that was good. I wanted a desert too - carrot cake would have been a fav but having had before and found lack-luster, I decided not to. I won't visit again if the menu stays the same

    The server Jerome was helpful, polite, and professional. He provided us with impeccable customer service. The food was delicious, yet a little overpriced. The joy killer of the night was our seating. Despite a great number of vacant tables, we were seated beside an emergency exit, in front of an empty cart and a TV which I was showing ridiculous programming :(

    We haven’t been back to Perspectives restaurant since chef Michael Blackie left. We were very disappointed. We’d always enjoyed the Birch tree decor, but the service and the food were not up to par this time. This was a birthday brunch for my adult daughter. It is highly unlikely that we will return. Sawdust biscuits, coffee and water not refilled, food not hot, no special breakfast beverage menu, seating less than optimal considering we made a reservation well in advance… just to list a few things…
