   A special occasion (for which we got a dessert) but the steak was tough. However it was changed for another main course without question. Having said that the Brookstreet remains a special place.

   Great ambiance especially with live Jazz music.. very nice and professional staff. Food was amazing and the Bartender was so creative with his virgin drinks which we all loved. Definitely going again with my 10 years old daughter to celebrate her birthday..

   Miss the buffet, which was what we thought we were going for. We made a reservation but were told we couldn't be seated until time even though there were lots of empty tables. Food was okay. - fairly standard hotel fare with smaller portions. Not worth a trip out of the way as it used to be.

   Our waitress was absolutely fantastic and very attentive to a dietary restrictions. The mixed drinks were also well made. The wine list was so-so. The restaurant itself seems like it’s having a bit of an identity crisis. The food was fair, but the menu lacks cohesion, and portion sizing is inconsistent (ie. a “main course” portion means different things by an impressive amount). And, as a cherry on top, neither the radio nor the live music were jazz.

   Over all, good lunch, good service, ambiance not so much. People walking thru the restaurant carrying golf clubs from one side, and people trying to go thru the restaurant wearing wet bathing suits covered with random wet clothing doesn't leave one with an impression of a quality establishment. Menu very limited, perhaps we expected too much from what is after all a Hotel restaurant.

   We have eaten at the Perspectives Restaurant before but this time we sat in the Options Jazz Lounge and had a great time. Great jazz pianist who didn’t play too loud. Great atmosphere !

   Food was disappointing. Lobster in the pasta was undercooked and pasta was bland. They were sent back and replaced with the lamb saddle which was much better. Celery risotto was very good. Service was mediocre and inattentive. We have been here many times before but now we’d not go back.

    Very friendly and professional service. The ambience was quiet and perfect for conversation. My club sandwich had real chicken and bacon, but the Ceasar salad had too much dressing. I would return.

    There was a group of six people for lunch. In general everything was fine with the following exception. Two people ordered the chicken satay with peanut sauce. It was tasteless and the peanut sauce had no detectable spice in it. This, I believe is an Asian dish and relies a lot on the peanut sauce.

    It would have been nice to know on Saturday that there wasn't a buffet on Sunday. It was even mentioned by staff at check in. Over 4 dollars for a coffee is ridiculously high.

    Unable to get sushi as chef on holidays should have been told at time of reservation. Standby was lamb,but sold out at 630 on Saturday. Had to settle for beef.was still good but third choice

    We had a terrific evening and supper was delicious. Cannot say enough about our sever Debbie, she was outstanding. Personally and service what a pleasure to have her take care of us. We had lobster 🦞 & steak 🥩 cooked to perfection. Thanks for a beautiful evening.

    Perspectives was a fabulous venue to celebrate with our parents, who have not been to a restaurant in 2 years due to Covid. Our dinner was delicious, our server Rolly was attentive and our tastebuds were delighted.

    The food was fantastic. We had the green Thai chowder and the lamb saddle. Best I’ve had for a long time. The staff are friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, it’s not a place for a special occasion. The dress code is ‘smart casual’ but that’s not enforced… people were wearing baseball caps, t-shirts, board shorts and sandals and there were tables of yelling & screaming out of control children. Still the food was really REALLY good and the service was sensational.

    Our experience was fine. When we arrived for our reservation we asked to be seated outside as it was a nice night. We were told it was too busy. There were about 4 tables and 10 total diners. Never seemed busy to us. I’d made my reservations a month before and got seated inside off in a corner where service was seldom seen.

    Excellent food and service. We love perspectives for the quality, value, and ambiance. The outdoor patio is beautiful but de to the threat of thunderstorms we were moved inside.

    Service was very slow although our server was super pleasant. It’s a shame they didn’t have more staff. Food also arrived lukewarm but was very tasty. We had requested to move our reservation up by thirty minutes but was told the restaurant was sold out. Upon arriving the restaurant was mostly empty and believe it was due to low staff.

    Food is ok over all . Not great value for what you get . Sushi is really good but over all menu needs an update . Service was awesome thanks Micheal :) wine selection is not great as well. Ambience on the patio is great and was very quiet except the pool gate that keeps slamming while you eat . Patio heaters are a great touch :)

    Vegan options are very limited and even salad I took was just mixed spring.I hope they be more creative in their vegan options in future because I go there a lot.

    We had family visiting from Quebec City. The storm knocked out power at our home but luckily for us the restaurant had power and we were able to enjoy a wonderful meal. Our waiter Jerome was fabulous and entertaining. It was our first time eating at Perspectives since moving to Ottawa last fall and we’ll definitely be back !

    Service was not great. Possibly due to new staff. The server didn’t seem to know the menu well. Service was also incredibly slow. We sat close to 45 min before receiving our first drink. Food was also not great for the price you pay. When my husband made a complaint about his steak the solution was either, eat it the way it is or order something else. Cooking another steak didn’t seem to be an option. It made the situation feel a little awkward. The experience was a let down as we had high expectations!
