We went to Peter Luger’s at Caesar’s Palace with some friends last night for dinner. The experience was a solid 10/10. Our server/assistants were amazing, true professionals in every sense of the word. All of them were exceptionally attentive to every need of ours. We shared Caesar salad, german fried potatoes, loaded baked potato, creamed spinach and last but not least both the porterhouse and ribeye and it was all amazing!! A great meal with friends!!

Was really looking forward to dinner as my wife has been to the New York restaurant and said it was amazing. The service was very disappointing. We were seated and then waited almost 10 minutes for anyone to approach our table. One we got our drinks it would be the only drinks we had all night. In a 2+ hour dinner our server never asked us if we wanted additional drinks. Thankfully the person filling up our water kept our glasses full. We did ask him if we could get another round of drinks and he said he’d let our waiter know. Not if that happened or not. We also had to ask a manager who walked by to clear some of the old plates that were piling up on the table. He said sure but it seemed like it wasn’t his job to clear tables so all the dirty appetizer plates stacked up on the table for the entire 2 hour meal. The steak was overcooked. We asked for it to be medium rare. When it came the 1st few pieces they played for us had some pink the rest looked like an overcooked burger. The flavor of the steak was good just grossly over cooked. I did love the steak sauce which helped with the somewhat dry steak but since we used so much of it we needed more and you guessed it we waited and didn’t get someone to bring us some more until we were on our final bites. Running a restaurant is hard and I understand the dependency on staff but when you’re paying hundreds of dollars for a meal the level of service should match the price. I can live with poor service if the food is good but unfortunately we did enjoy our over cooked steak enough to want to come back. There are so many good steak restaurants in Vegas I don’t need to come back to this one.

The quality of the steak is unmatched. It is just as good as New York and honestly hard to find anywhere else. I hate not leaving a 5 star review, but there were a few service things that didn’t justify 5 start 1. Ordered a scotch and the glass had a chip in it and multiple shards of glass. I let the waiter know and they fixed it. 2. When the steak came out (which was perfect, I won’t lie) it wasn’t sizzling, which is part of the whole allure of Peter Lugers. That is a minor detail, but it is what makes the restaurant fun 3. The side of potatoes didn’t come out until we were nearly done with our steak. Maybe that was on purpose, but I would have liked them at the same time

Took an hour to get the food to the table. The excitement level for the fine dining experience was dead by the time the food arrived. The steak tasted of nothing but butter and the lamb the same. The chicken was delicious. Far better things to ring up a high dollar tab on in Vegas. Voiced concerns to the waiter about the displeasure in the long wait and taste of the food. Our concerns were shrugged off. Won’t return.

We were so satisfied with our Porterhouse for 2! It was so tasty and juicy. Well worth the price! Our server was amazing and attentive. The shrimp cocktail was gigantic and delicious. The libations were very good. We celebrated my husbands 55th and they made it special. We will be back!

Service started out great, but quickly declined. Had to ask for napkins twice and or dessert was forgotten and had to ask if it was on it’s way.

IF you decide to go to this place...I would recommend dinner time and not lunch. Lunch time, the prices are the same and you get seated in what feels like at an airport restaurant in a terminal. The tables are so small, they cannot even find space for the meal. The food was itself was actually really good, however the drinks and stemware station, literally sits right behind a table where peoples hair kept going into the water pitchers and glassware which was gross and definitely not the caliber of care you would expect nor would want. Peter Luger in New York has a standard, no hats inside, not this location it is more as long as you will spend money, welcome which is great if that doesn't matter but for average cost per head of $125-$150 plus drinks, I expected a higher standard of which the Peter Luger culture in NY provides thus as a company they know better. This location (Vegas) may focus on food and while the service was good, it was Vegas restaurant service and not Peter Luger culture service. Our main server was good but not great. As this may seem small, it sets the stage on what to expect...get ready for one basket of bread that is gone before the meal and don't think about wanting more bread or butter with your meal (one no room on the table for it but also no cognizant awareness to offer/bring more). In the end, I hope they learn and can make it...but they should either adapt to their culture of excellence or change their name to Peter Luger Junior/In Training.

The steak orientation was really nice, the food was delicious. All side dishes were large enough for at least two people.
