Peter Pan Bistro
With a nod to its place in Toronto’s food history, the completely reestablished Peter Pan Bistro brings a contemporary update to the classic traditions of dining out. Peter Pan demonstrates that accomplished cooking does not require a fine dining atmosphere and aims to balance these elements by refining the neighbourhood bistro.
Peter Pan subscribes to the "nose-to-tail" philosophy, popularly readopted over the past few years. This approach extends beyond simply the consumption of meat, instead embracing the responsible use of all raw ingredients. More than an education through food, what some take as byproducts of cooking, nose-to-tail sees as ingredients in the search for pleasure.

Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart and was very helpful!
Unfortunately I don’t remember her name but she was a blonde woman from Czech!
Awesome food, good vibe, wall decor is very cool.
Great food, great service, great value, and great ambiance. Also one of the few places that serve brunch during the week! One of my favourites!
Oh friends, try the cheese trolley. Thank you everyone for the fabulous evening xo
This was my second visit. Great brunch at the bar. Both enjoyed our plates and of course... the mimosas! Will definitely return for brunch and try evenings.
My partner and I have been going here every Valentine’s Day and we love it.
The food is always excellent. They have a good wine menu and Peter Pan is taking part n WinterLicious, with a special menu.
Always enjoy going to Peter Pan for a tasty lunch. The food is wonderful and the service prompt and friendly. A real go-to for me in Toronto. Thanks!
All was great up until we were finished when it took over 15 mins to get the check.
Winterlicious Lunch Review:
I have always enjoyed Peter Pan's tartare for a quick lunch, but this really blew me away. The selection of options paired beautifully with each other, we were shown fantastic service including the manager taking the time to discuss wine recommendations with us even though we were looking for the cheapest range of bottles on a 1/2 price wine day. Portions were plentiful and a steal for that price. Thanks so much for the dining experience!
Food is ok, nothing memorable, it does the job. Duck fat “fries” is NOT fries, they’re merely little potatoes and not great - do not recommend that. Waitress was smiley and friendly.
We love Peter Pan! Always great food and service.
Love the ambience at this bustling neighbourhood corner restaurant. If you are looking for a quiet place to talk though, this is not the best option - lots of loud groups come for dinner. Food is delicious, and service is great - would definitely come back!
Great server and great ambience
Excellent burger. Could have used more fries given the price point.
We LOVE this spot! We went for the brunch and it was exceptional! The lattes are delicious and the Shakshuka is a MUST try. The service is great. Check it out!
Avocado eggs benedicts are to die for. Would definitely go back.
I would suggest Peter Pan for reconnecting with friends and having fantastic food, with great service and kind peoples.
We had brunch at Peter Pan - 4 adults and 2 kids. Our table was ideal as the kids would look out of the window at the passing city life. A couple of us did the Prix Fixe - mimosa, scones and entree - such a great deal and such delicious food. In terms of entrees, we ordered the Croque Madame, Shakshuka and Omelette - all delicious and all decent-sized.
As an aside we had an issue with the bill which we only discovered a few hours later and they were prompt to respond and took care of the matter right away - great customer service.
My daughter and I went for NYE and ordered from the prix fixe menu - we loved the old world feel of the restaurant - I had to send back a margarita because it was awful - the salt rim was flake salt (only partway round) and downright pointy - the drink itself tasted like a bottled mix - the Brussels sprouts salad was nice and fresh - the mushroom tart was a flatbread with mushrooms and cheese and nice cream under the toppings - the duck and steak were healthy size portions but WAY over salted - the fries were delicious - not so much the homemade ketchup which was too sweet - champagne sabayon was creamy but salt overpowered the champagne taste - my red wine was fantastic - first glass arrived timely - I sat around and waited for a waitress to order a second glass but eventually walked myself to the bar and asked bartender for a refill - a number of servers/front of house disappeared during the evening - I am not sure where to but one server was left for a good part of our meal - she was managing but rushing around a bit harried -
Very cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. Have been here several times and will come again.
Loved the restaurant, was disappointed when server came to take the order and we found out the menu wasn’t being used, but a fix price menu was be used. The restaurant should have informed us upon arrival for the reservation that the fix price menu was CB only being offered.
I now know how it feels to have a terrible server. It ruins the whole experience.
Always happy with the brunch options - food is delicious! Cool atmosphere and helpful servers. Perfect spot for a different kind of brunch date.
I must say a huge Thank you to the wait staff for their patience that day. Our little group did enjoy everything.
Thank you Peter Pan! :)
My chicken was undercooked and my salad lacked flavour.
Nice friendly cozy restaurant. The squash stuffed ravioli was excellent.
Always yummy and reliable!!
Local go-to lunch spot ! Also great for pre-theatre!
My girlfriend and I were here for my birthday. The manager Becks took care of us by helping us with a wine selection, the food menu and gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate my birthday which was delicious. Wish the mussels were with tomatoes instead of sweet peppers and overall had a great night!
Loved the mussel bouillabaisse. Onion soup was a little salty. Bread in the onion soup was too dense. Rainbow trout was tasty. Brussels sprouts Caesar was good too.
Service was attentive and friendly.
A stalwart fave in the area - you can always count on a really good meal. Lovely space.
Our server was Rude... I think she was actually avoiding our table
We had a lovely time, the atmosphere is perfect for a date night. The food was delicious!
Eat here and be happy. The food is spectacular. On Wednesdays, wine is 50% off
The food vision of the place is unique and the restaurant itself is a joy to be inside.
This visit was a special one - three birthdays to celebrate with all of us from out of town (I visit Toronto regularly and dine at Peter Pan often). The table I requested was waiting, the cocktails were soooo good, food excellent as always (including approved by the 'picky eater' with us), and our server was perfect (wish I could remember her name ...but she's British from Liverpool).
Always a brunch favourite. Great ambience, great service, great food.
Food was meh, wine was delish. Service was also okay to be honest, missed our bread order. Somm was great.
Wonderful staff and great tasting food! Will be back.
The food was amazing. The ingredients were fresh, high quality and cooked to perfection. The menu is contemporary and interesting. The service was perfect: friendly and prompt without being too attentive. I will be eating at Peter Pan again soon
Love this place! Great casual service, impeccable food, reasonable prices, and washrooms that don’t make you feel you’ve gone to a dark cave.... Will go back!
