    Our family travels to Freeport every holiday season to do some shopping and enjoy a meal together. After reading yelp reviews, we decided to make a reservation for lunch. Upon arrival, the restaurant was mostly empty, possibly due to rain weather. The waitstaff was friendly and seated us. Once we placed our drink and app orders, we gave our order. The waitstaff was also covering the bar; seems like they were short staffed. Drinks were delivered and we were not given glasses with our beers. Appetizers were not acceptable. Bread on bruschetta and spinach dip was barely toasted. We ordered our meals and were surprised with the small portion of sandwiches. The food overall was very bland. One of our guests put salt on her risotto and the top was broken spilling salt all over her plate. She tried to eat around it but did not finished 1/2 of her plate. When the waitstaff came back to check on our food I explained what happened. She offered to replace plate but we said no. It was not tasty and we were not interested in getting another plate. What is really prompting me to rate this visit a two star is the fact that only half of this plate was taken off bill, since half of the food was eaten. Really? We spent over $200 and left hungry and disappointed. I understand managing staffing levels when you are not busy due to weather but I do not feel that we received a quality experience.

    I made a reservation for a large group (10 people) for lunch after a family event. The waitress was great, she took care of all of us, including two kids. The menu had a nice variety for adults and kids and everything tasted great. We were able to bring a special cake with us to serve after lunch. I would definitely recommend Petrillo's and will be back again myself!

    We came for a family get-together. Everything was fantastic. Drinks made to order, local draft beer and what I assume is homemade lemoncello. The group had mostly pasta dishes which arrived quickly and the pasta was al dente and not mushy. All in all a great experience.

    Eat there often but made reservations for 6 which was lucky for us, it was very busy. 4 adults and 2 kids in their 20's all ordered something different. We shared an order of mussels and spicy shrimp for an app. which was a great hit all around. I had a shrimp pasta special and when we were all done, there was only empty plates on the table. Dinner also included great wine and beers. Much to full for desert. :-) Excellent night with the in-laws and the beginning of thanksgiving time off.

    Stopping in before a movie, I enjoyed the best haddock sandwich I’ve had in a long time. It was fresh, broiled, flavorful and on homemade focaccia. Absolutely delicious! My husband loved the pasta special. We will repeat this restaurant and a movie option.

    Service was friendly , fast and accommodating. We had 2 types of pizza which were good. The side of garlic broccoli was good but I thought a little over priced. Otherwise a 5 Star experience!

    We the restaurant was exceptionally noisy. It was hard to keep a conversation with all the chatter bouncing around. Something is needed to help soak up the noise level.

    We enjoyed our quick visit to petrillos. Decent children's menu and the pasta is made fresh there. We went during a slow time so we cannot speak for dinner noise or traffic. Located behind the outlets. It's hidden.

    Having eaten at Petrillo's many times I have to say this was a tremendous disappointment. While the effort to have fresh pasta is commendable the actual deliverable was not palatable. It was as though the pasta had just been made then dumped right into water and boiled so it was just doughy . This is unfortunate because the sauces there are delicious. Please go back to the way you used to make pasta !

    Food was great and service was quick considering it was a busy Mother's day lunch crowd. It's often difficult to find a restaurant in Freeport, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

    Had reservation but were seated at the bar due to lack of availability of tables. Were told that the seating arrangement would be temporary but were never brought to a table and eventually had to order food due to time constraints (had been waiting already for half an hour). Were rarely/ever checked in with by the staff regarding needs (for instance, watched people around us offered bread or if they needed something else while we were ignored). This was our first time at Petrillos and to be honest, it may be the last based on this experience. This was not the kind of Mother's Day meal I had wanted to bring my mom to.
