Food and service beyond reproach. I had the soup dumplings and the yellow curry prawns. My wife has the salt and pepper calamari and sea bass 2 ways. The food was great and the service was as well. This is our go to Chinese restaurant in NYC. . Try it and it will be yours as well. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for .

This is a great Chinese chef who retains traditions but adds high quality creative touches .. hot/sour soup .. satay and the velvet chicken are my favs and are so satisfying.. each dish hits a high note … plus it is fun !

This experience was horrible . Not only did they give our appetizer’s away to the people next to us but when we got our food it was cold. Me and my wife did not feel appreciated to be there. When they gave the appetizers to the people next to us the people didn’t care they just took the food - it was the servers at Philippe’s fault though they obviously looked clueless and would ask every table what they got. It was a waste of money though I was not happy at all

We were the last sitting for lunch at 2:30pm. while I appreciate being accommodated for a last minute sitting, we felt very rush to finish our three courses. They kept coming to clear our plates when we were still eating from them. It really put a dent on the experience. The food was delicious and portions were great!

We went for an early dinner, so it was a little more quiet. The food was outstanding, especially the House Mignon and the Salt and Pepper Eggplant. The service is excellent and we definitely plan to return. As we were leaving the crowd was growing as was the noise and music level, so if you like action-go late, if not- go early!

I have dined Asian restaurants many times, always expecting similar menus.. Surprisingly, Philippe Chow is a new and exciting dining menu. I had a new flavor margarita, my partner's lobster dish outstanding, and my crispy duck (Peking Duck style) excellent. We shall return to Philippe Chow soon..

This is my 4th time dining at Philippe Uptown, and I’m sad to say that each time it’s getting worse. The main problem is that the staff is not properly trained. They are not rude, they just don’t know what they are doing. Also, they don’t have a decision maker in the premises that can resolve problems. I think this establishment has had its days. With so many options available, I don’t see a reason to come back.
