   Excellent mango iced tea, chili corn bread and basil tomato soup. The eggplant sandwich was not memorable. Nice spot for lunch or dinner. Definitely plan to go back and try something else from their menu!

   I told the waiter we were there to celebrate my wife's birthday. Everything started out great. Our waiter was cheerful and attentive. The bourbon drink special was delightful. It was restaurant week so we picked different starters, entrées and deserts to get a better feel for their menu. Everything was going wonderfully until it was time for dessert. They only offered a raspberry ice cream fruit dish or a special glazed doughnut with ice cream. When the deserts arrived, the waiter placed them on the table and started to walk away. We reminded him of the birthday and he said he forgot the candle and asked if we wanted him to get one. We insisted on the candle so he stuck one in my wife's ice cream then stood there staring at us. My raspberry ice cream was ok but my wife's donut was barely edible. While the waiter was pleasant, the review would have been much better had he shown more customer service. He should have remembered my wife's birthday and offered her a different desert when he saw how displeased she was with the donut. Since the entrée and atmosphere was very pleasant, The Phoenix City Grille deserves a second chance.

   CORN SOUP was very, very delicious. Also, the SMOKED TRI-TIP took our breath away. The entire dish was created most excellently. The STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE dessert was lacking in SHORTCAKE for our taste. Overall though, an excellent meal.

   This place was great!! It's like a hidden gem and I'm so happy we decided to go and try it out again. The food was wonderful, the service was great, and even paying the tab was east with table side check out. Everyone in our party loved it too! We will be back for sure. I hope they add the restaurant week items to the normal menu. The tri tip was perfect and moist, so was the watermelon salad. Great job City Grill.

    We dined at PCG for restaurant week and were excited about trying the featured menu items. The bread in my husband’s appetizer truly appeared to be pieces of wheat bunny bread. The tri tip entree was missing the micro greens, which isn’t a huge deal, but made us wonder whether they were running out of the restaurant week items. Our server was kind but not super helpful. We asked for help and suggestions and it seemed like he wasn’t sure how to answer anything we asked. Overall the food was decent, but not as good as anticipated and certainly overpriced for what we got.

    Went during AZ restaurant week. The burrata was great. I will dream about the swordfish - it was amazing. The dessert donut was undercooked in the middle but the peach gelato was delicious. I dined alone and they let me set the pace - which was nice. Would totally go again.

    WOW!!!! went during restaurant week, last night, OMG, watermelon salad, Smoked tai tip and the best strawberry shortcake. So delicious, wonderful service and a great value. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

    We were seated promptly and greeted by our server who advised us on drinks and took our orders. The drinks were delivered promptly at which point we ordered (to insure adequate time to get to the theatre). The 3 course restaurant week menu offered excellent alternatives and at least one of our party tried each of them. The 3 courses of food were delivered at appropriate intervals and were good. We finished and left in plenty of time to reach the theatre.

    I have been to Phoenix City Grille a few times. We went to the restaurant for Phoenix restaurant week. The receptionist and waitress did an excellent job. Our waitress was attentive, professional, and suggested dishes. A couple of us had swordfish, and it was perfectly cooked, moist and flaky. One of us had salmon skewers and she thought it was one of the better dishes she had in a while. However, one of us ordered tri-tip and he was not happy with the dish. there was a table next to us with a baby that cried for 15 minutes. Other than that, I do recommend this restaurant.

    I dined at PCG 2 nights in a row. Both nights I have the rose lane chicken (small portion) and it was sublime. The 2nd night I had the ceviche; it wasn't a "red" ceviche but more of a "green" ceviche and while there was nothing wrong with it, I have to say that it wasn't to my personal taste. (Far too much cilantro.) Ditto the jalapeno cornbread, which I found dry. I asked for an iced tea and was told that the only choice was peach mango, which was fine but, again, not my personal taste. The small salad before my chicken was fresh and crisp. Service was excellent; Mannie, the bus boy (or server's assistant; I didn't catch his title) recognized me from the night before and offered a very warm greeting and said, "Welcome back!" That was nice. No dessert this night; I opted to have an ice cream elsewhere. It's a great "neighborhood" place and I'll definitely go back but I'll probably just stick to salad and chicken.

    The rose lane chicken was excellent; I had the small portion which was plenty of food. Salad to start; the greens and veggies were fresh and it’s nice to find that someone can still make a decent Sherry vinaigrette. I wasn’t thrilled with the bacon-wrapped shrimp; that’s not to say it was bad it simply wasn’t too my personal taste. Brioche bread pudding for dessert could have used more strawberries but that it a minor complaint at best; overall it was a nice end to the meal. Passion fruit punch to start was refreshingly different and non-alcoholic. Great service. This was time and money well-spent.

    appetizers were great( pork taco and steak with a lime sauce)... the fish (the special too salty) ...flank steak extremely tough and quite a bad taste came with coconut rice with really inedible...cocktail very bad (small also) ... I have dined at PCG 10 times =- and have always been pleased... Not going back for sometime.

    Three of us i our party had the halibut with risotto. It was wonderful, beautifully seasoned and a lovely presentation. I would have expected to pay more for this meal and have at other restaurants. Definitely would have this again. Oh yeah, we all thought this dish was amazing

    We were crammed in a corner table that didn't have much space. All the tables seemed a bit too close to each other. So not the greatest ambiance. But, the food was fantastic. Great roasted vegetable platter and the Rosemary Chicken was awesome as well. Service was very good, especially the waitress.

    Phoenix City Grille is a gem of a local restaurant....food is always good, service is above par, and value is solid. We had fish, a burger, the ribs and a shrimp salad at our table, and all dishes were delicious and presented beautifully. It's also a great lunch place - sit at a high top in the bar or get a table. It's all good! Parking can be a bit of a drag, but that is the only downside.
