The Phoenix Steakhouse is located in an old historic building downtown Vernon BC, our Red Seal Chef is Charles Bonsan who has over 20 years of experience, his new menu has a beautiful focus on Seafood to complement a delicious selection of steaks.
Our happy hour is served Tue. to Sat. 3-5 pm
With our regular dinner menu starting at 3 pm,
Please note if you are looking for or require the main floor for MOBILITY issues please make a note when booking
We do our best to accommodate request for example a booth , we only have so many and we accommodate them in the order they come in.

    I had the lobster dinner. The lobster was acceptable. The vegetables (asperagus) were not prepared fresh, they were preprepared and arrived wilted and dry. The potatoes were well prepared. My wife had the pork dinner. The pork was over done but the sauce was good. Same comments for the vegetable and potatoes.

    My husband and I went for Happy Hour and it did not disappoint. The portions were huge, the wine was great and the service was excellent. We shared the fries, the meatballs and the Caesar salad. We will definitely be back.

    Happy hour with a girlfriend after work and it was the perfect place to meet. Great service and great food. The atmosphere was so nice and quiet there too.

    Food was bland. For the price you pay you would expect to be impressed. Would prefer intermezzo’s or even cactus club over phoenix steakhouse.

    The food was superb. The service was as always spectacular. Charlie and Megan and their staff are the best in business. I love going to The Phoenix because not only is the food the amazing but so is the service. It’s my mom’s fave place to eat and we will return. Thank you Megan Charlie and the Staff at the Phoenix.

    Really great experience. Steaks and calamari were excellent. Service was outstanding. Wine list very good. The only thing we would have liked is more variety on the potato options (smashed fried potatoes) but this is very minor. Highly recommend for a special night out.

    So fantastic, they have just redecorated abs it looks amazing absolutely gorgeous. The foid, service and value was exceptional. Always my favorite place in Vernon.

    Everything was just fine, but no Chardonnay on the menu by the glass. Much improved ambulance and the service and food were just great.

    We ordered the mushroom ravioli and the seafood pasta. The ravioli was good, the seafood pasta however was very dry. When we told our waitress she said “do you want me to bring you more sauce.” Well at that point the pasta was cold. I would expect a fine dining establishment to take the dish back and prepare a new hot dish with more sauce., instead she brought a small bowl of sauce. Very tacky! Let’s be honest, pasta is cheap - we weren't’ returning a 50$ steak! While we were still chewing and eating 2 times a waitress asked if we wanted a box to go. I’m sorry but I am still chewing my food, of course I don’t yet want a to go box. Did you need the table and want us gone? Sorry but I would not return. Intermezzo continues to exceed my expectations.

    Hi Diana, Thank you for taking time to join us for a birthday dinner and support our family owned restaurant. By no means were the girls trying to rush you and your dining partner. I talked to the server and she thought she gave you ample time in-between the wedge salad and the pasta dishes - & apologized when you mentioned one of the young staff tried to offer you a box when they didn’t realize you were not finished, the server did assure you there was no rush. If you had let us know you wanted your pasta re-tossed we would have been happy to do that :) our bowls are very big and the pasta sauce does tend to migrate to the bottom. I apologize that you felt we were a waste of time and money, hopefully Intermezzo can stay your go to local restaurant All the best Megan

    I‘ve been Phoenix Steakhouse number of times before Covid. The service and food were great then. I am glad they can keep the same quality of service and food after pandemic. I will keep this restaurant on my favour list.

    We loved our waitress. I believe her name is Morgan. She was so friendly, our orders were perfect and the food brought in a very timely fashion. Our only concern was the cost of the entrees. We would have loved to order a steak but the cost was too high. Unfortunate. Otherwise everyone loved their dishes. I ordered the salmon and it melted in my mouth like butter. The dessert was divine & large enough to be shareable. I appreciate that the staff recognized my friend’s birthday. She has been very ill so the dinner was particularly important for us. Thank you for offering the chance to provide feedback. We will return.

    While it's a minimal charge...I asked for fries instead of potato with my steak and was chatged$3 for the change. Again...minimal considering our meals for the 2 of us totaled $180 but never seen this at another establishment. Not like the fries cost more than potatoes...right...or charged me for the annoyance of making a change to my menu.
