Piano Piano Ratings and Reviews
Delicious food, with unique and original takes on classic Italian favourites
Server made excellent suggestions and did a great job! Food was delicious. Room is a bit loud but still the experience was enjoyable.
Beautiful restaurant. The decor was excellent and the noise level was perfect - not too noisy! The appetizers were excellent, however I didn't love the meatballs as much. The other pastas my friends got were great though!
Food and wine - excellent. Our server was very attentive and super friendly.
Definitely recommend Piano Piano. CHEERS!
Steak came out cold and then they reheated it and over cooked it. Everything else was great.
Excellent food, ambiance and value. My only critiques - had to wait an additional 15 min to get seated because our table was not ready. As well, we received our food before our drinks (ordered at same time) which is something, coming from the industry that I do not like. I also love how you dinner size and appy size portions are available - more restaurants should follow your lead and do this! Thanks so much will return!
Love Piano Piano! Their food is always extremely well-prepared, and specific to your requests. Service is excellent! One of my favourite Italian restaurants in the city!
Server was very slow to bring brings, take away dishes. Take orders
Amazing location for a celebration with great business partners! Great food, drinks and services.
The service was great, unfortunately, can't say the same thing about the food.
From the things, we tried the Wood Fired Mushrooms was the dish we most enjoyed.
Looked forward to this after hearing many rave reviews - however it did not live up to expectations. The large dining room was very pretty with an attractive bar area.
The mushroom salad was a good appetizer- and the charcuterie plate looked good at next table. Mains were decent but not overwhelming - both the sea bass and the veal had the same salad garnish spread all over (unusual choice and not sure why) and roast potatoes.
This is a decent neighbourhood bistro - not fine dining.
We ate at Piano Piano last Wednesday. The service was good and efficient and the cost reasonable. The food while good did not live up to the reviews we had read prior to chosing it for my wife's birthday. We had cocktails that lacked the sophistication we have become used to from many mixologists in the city. The salad was overly dressed. Suggesting that this is one of the cities best pizza's is laughable, the middle was soggy and it was noticably salty. Choose the bench rather than the white chairs for comfort. To be fair we didn't have any of the mains so may have missed the best on offer. My wife's observation was good for her friends after work, broad enough menu, plenty to share, not too expensive, comfort food for those interested mostly in the company and stick to the pasta.
Everything was great! The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food, drinks, and atmphosire were awesome.
Two separate dishes had hair in the food. The fried calamari literally had a strand of hair to which I pulled out of my mouth in front of the server. Our next dish after again another piece of hair. The server again agreed it’s hair and came back to only confirm our findings and tell us that it did in fact fall off the beard of one of the kitchen staff
Place was nice, the space was nicely and tastefully decorated. Cocktails were not bad, food was alright, lots of places you can find the same quality of pizza and pasta.
The service was good, but it seemed like our waiter had a long tiring day and all the happiness had drained out of him... but still polite and attentive, no worries there though, I get it, we all have days like that.
But the seating host, "not the lady" but the guy with the *gold chain* LOL. He was rude rude rude...
His attitude was like "he was all that!" As if he ran or owned the place? Pleeease man... just stop it!
Anyways the place for me was mediocure at best. Clearly people have had better experiences than me, since currently it's one of the top places to eat in the city. Oh well...try it if you want, hopefully your experiences are better than mine.
Piano Piano is a departure from splendido in terms of the concept and presentation, but just because fine dining is no longer the focus, don’t be misled! The menu is verstile, with more exotic dishes like grilled octopus for two and veal medallions as well as an assortment of artisan pizzas and pastas. The wine list is unpretentious and well-suited with every selection coming in under $85 per bottle. The room is fun, lively and the service was great.
Pizza was great, one of the best I've had. However, the pasta was bland and not that flavourful.
Excellent pizzas, fantastic raviolo, creative cocktails...but they stopped putting the chocolate tart on the menu. Which is unfortunate, because it was the best in the city. As a result, it is no longer a 5 star place, and thus feels overpriced.
Loved everything including the menus and trivia!
Piano Piano is top-notch when it comes to Toronto restaurants. The food was amazing and the staff went above and beyond! The fact they also cater nicely to children was such a welcome surprise, our 15month old nephew with us had such a great time and was catered to so politely by the staff! Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone and we look forward to returning soon!
Simply outstanding. Everything was great. We'll be back for sure.
My lady and I celebrated our one year at Piano Piano. We had an amazing experience. The servers were thoughtful and knew about our anniversary. They brought us champagne and a sparkler with our dessert. I appreciate those little touches, so it meant quite a bit to me. The service was always good. Our waitress was on top of our orders and made sure to space out our dishes. The food was delicious and the drinks were good.
We will be coming back again and I will always recommend this place to friends.
Egg yolk raviolo was good but not enough food. But the ravioli con bolognese sauce tasted just like the can raviolis...exactly the same. Price was way too expensive for the amount of food. But the atmosphere was great. Very unique decor and romantic vibe. Although the amount of children that was there kind of killed the vibe.
Set menu was phenomenal. You will leave stuffed! Very affordable wine list doesn’t leave you feeling guilty getting a bottle or two...
Best Pizza in Toronto....very Hip ! the Service and ambience were exceptional!!
Great evening! No complaints at all. The service was great, very attentive our water bottle was always filled without having to ask. The server was at our table the perfect amount of times. We ordered a cocktail each to start, the Manhattan and the Piano Piano Spritz. Yum. Then the ceaser salad and garlic cheese bread. The salad had grilled greens which we weren’t expecting but it was pretty yummy. The bread was basically a garlic cheese pizza done in their wood burning oven, also good. But we probably filled up on that before our mains came. We both ordered pasta, the ravioli Bolognese and I had the carbonara. Both were really good. Very filling. But we had to try a dessert. So we ordered the chocolate banana cake for two. Really nice hints of ginger. Overall most of the dinner was unexpected but really great flavours. Love the fact this is a kid friendly restaurant even though we left the little one at home for our first time here. Lovely evening, the space is beautiful.
It's a very busy restaurant. Great selection of pizza and pasta dishes. Our server was very nice. I also like the idea of having the option to order pasta as an appetizer.
Food and service we excellent. I can’t wait to go back
Overall food and service was great. I left a message 3 weeks prior to our reservation about a potential switch. To my dismay, I never received a call back. I fully understand you are busy, however as a courtesy I would have appreciated a call back, even if it was to let us know you couldn't accommodate us. Just disappointed on that end.
Great pre-concert dinner with delicious food, excellent service and good wine.
Great late night dinner. Fantastic pizza, pasta and appies. Would highly recommend.
The ambient is nice and simple, but that is that. The food is not special, and their salad is very salty. Pastas are so so. Seabass dish is good. Again nothing special about the place.
Really love the relaxed atomosphere and the classy decor. Service was very friendly and attentive. Had the sea bass and the bone in veal. Both prepared to perfection. The wines by the glass selection was decent and the prices fair. Would recommend this restaurant for sure and will be back myself. Bueno!
Server was outstanding. Food was delayed and just average. Not bad but, not memorable. The ambiance was really cool!
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be going back.
After spending three weeks in Italy this past summer we ate a lot of really great pizza. "The Pretty Woman" pizza I had on Friday night not only compared, it was probably in my top three pizzas ever! Unfortunately we thought the price was a little over the top. Great fresh ingredients but it is pizza after all.
We shared a few plates and everything was delicious. It was nicely decorated and the atmosphere was great for date night.
Food was nice but one of the waitresses really got some attitude. You don’t need a snob to filter customers.
I booked for last night as I thought a portion of our bill would help those in need of food — and was VERY disappointed to learn that that only applied to pizza sales. If this was on the FB posting it wasn’t obvious. Since I am a quadruple heart bypass patient, pizza is not on my heart healthy diet so my good intention were for not....
Other than that the food was ok, but not great....
Loved the ambiance of this place. Dimly lit and pretty decor with high ceilings. We were group of 3 seated at a table in shape of a quarter-circle. Service was exemplary and portion sizes were generous. For appetizers, ordered calamari ; Entrees included veal medallions, grilled octopus for two and grilled sea bass. All were excellent and filling. We had to pack some food to go as it was a lot.
