Thursday to Saturday: 5pm - 11pm
I had been trying to eat at Piano Piano for months and decided to make a reservation a month in advance so I would be able to finally! I still was only able to get a thursday reservation. The food was absolutely outstanding, i was so impressed! The smoked burrata appetizer was my favourite, both fresh and sumptuous, a must have! The ravioli with the bolognese sauce was absolutely amazing. The pasta was el dente and fresh, and that was one of the best sauces Ive ever tried. The half portions of the caesar salad and the pasta are great to be able to try more dishes. We were too stuffed to have dessert sadly so another trip will have to be made! The restaurant is quite loud, the large open room creates a bit of an issue for acoustics and I found myself having to strain to hear my husband across the table. When we left we noted there is bar seating right by the front window, looking out at harbord street, so we will try to sit there next time as I feel it would be quieter there, great for people watching and quite romantic! Overall a wonderful part of Toronto's culinary scene!
Great spot! Love the menu! Food was exceptional! Brussels sprouts are to die for! Ricotta Ravoli with a perfectly running egg....delicious! Staff, Manager and Chef are very passionate. Overall great experience and I'll definitely be back:)
Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Food was excellent. Great lunch value. Highly recommend. Will be back if we can swing it when in Toronto. We were there for a special celebration for us and several of the staff passed along their congratulations, really made it extra special.
Piano Piano is my new faveourite restaurant in Toronto. The food is incredibly authentic and so flavourful! Every server is knowledgeable, incredibly kind and attentive. Beautiful space, with a great ambiance! I will be coming back to Piano Piano and bringing all my friends!
Lunch menu was our first time and equally as delicious as our previous dinner visits that we love so much. Perfect for sharing eats!!
Food was okay, service was so poor and tge restaurant was not full at all! So disappointed. Kids meals are hideous, pizza is way too big for kids and overpriced and pasta dish was way too small. The side is insulting. Literally I felt stupid to sot there. When I shared my experience with one of the servers she couldn’t care less and didn’t even apologized.
I can tell you this in less tgem a year this place will be closed!
Loved this place, we will be back without a second thought.
Extremely noisy... unappealing decor and atmosphere... very casual ... everyone on their cellular devices... decided not to stay and left without ordering.
Our server was very good - polite, attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. I will definitely eat here again!
We had the mushroom pasta and the pretty lady pizza with anchovies, the pizza was delicious!! the Burrata salad is also delicious.
Found it pretty mediocre for all the hype. Really nicely done interior! But the food was lacklustre for the price ($17 for calamari!?). The pizza and the veal parm were both... meh. The pizza crust was great though!
The part that irked me most was that you'd think that such an expensive restaurant you could expect half decent service. But our server forgot our drinks, didn't ask if we needed anything when our food arrived, and just handed us our check at the end without a "hope you liked it," at the very least.
Been wanting to go here for awhile and it did not disappoint. I had the Raviloi Bolganese and my friend had The Bitter Pizza. Both were excellent. Pasta was fresh and you’re given an adequate amount of sauce! Pizza was such a surprise combination but tasty. Can’t wait to go back.
Booked this restaurant for a weeknight dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
When we checked in for our 7 o clock reservation, the hostess flatly told us that they would need our table for the next reservation at 9 o clock. This was never disclosed when we made the reservation and made us feel like we would have to watch the clock as we ate. When ny wife and I dine, we like to eat at a leisurely pace and enjoy yourselves. Piano Piano specifically has a menu that is best enjoyed by sharing multiple dishes over a few courses.
Our waiter was friendly and helpful in choosing our menu selections. However, the kitchen was obviously aware of the imposed time limit and rushed our first couple courses out. I didn’t even have time to enjoy my glass of wine before our salad arrived. The pizza arrived shortly thereafter and was plopped next to the half eaten salad, giving us the option to abandon our salad or return later to a cold pizza. Fortunately things smoothed out from there. The salad and pizza were great and we really enjoyed the ravioli in a Bolognese sauce. The vodka pasta was good, but not great.
We were to full for dessert, but were presented two cookies with the bill as a nod to my wife’s birthday.
We hope to come back to Piano Piano, but will now know we have to take the later reservation if we intend to enjoy a more relaxed pace.
The food was delicious. Highly recommend the egg yolk ravioli! The service was excellent too. Our waiter gave great recommendations and was very attentive. Will visit again!
Delicious food. Great service
Service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant itself was a nice place to dine. But after a great appetizer (the Burrata) the experience faded. Far too much time passed between our apps arriving and when our main course was finally delivered. And then one of the tow meals was so hot you could not eat it while the other was barely tepid. That leads me to believe the kitchen did not prepare the meals to have them completed at the same time and one of the plates sat while the other was prepared. The ravioli was not cold enough to send back, but not hot enough to bring me back. So overall good, but not that great.
Delicious food that wasn't your typical Italian food but had unusual pairings mixed together to create wonderful flavours ! A touch pricey but worth it. Can't wait to come back.
The dandelion pizza is AMAZING. Highly recommended.
There were fruit flies at our table that would not leave us alone.
The meat sauce on the ravioli was almost chewy and not good at all.
We were treated so kindly. It was our last dinner before the baby comes and they were attentive and friendly. They gave excellent food suggestions based on our tastes and the food did not disappoint..... I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Piano Piano
Food was amazing !! Service as well. Definitely will go back.
The lunch special was soooo worth it and the food was top notch. Service was very attentive and the atmosphere is incredibly cute and well thought out. Will recommend and return.
The food was great and good value. Very nice interior and ambience.
We waited 2 hours for our main meal as there was a “large party downstairs”. We were offered free calamari which we didn’t want as it would take up space for our desired dishes. And when the bill came, nothing (not even one drink) was complimentary for the unacceptable wait. Not impressive customer service by anyone’s standards.
My wife and I had a good meal here. It was a fun place. Some of the food is very good indeed. Pasta dishes cooked with great texture and taste. Tiramisu was disappointing lacking flavour and was somewhat homogeneous. Fun atmosphere and it is noisy. Wine was excellent, we had their Chianti DOC. Tables along the sides are much to close together. It was sometimes easier to hear next table's conversation then our own! They do need to remove one or two tables. Overall good and we would go back. It's good for groups.
The wait times were absolutely insane for food , booking a reservation was easy but the food took almost 50 minuets between appetizers and main course
Food was excellent and always is. Service highly inconsistent - was a bit disappointed this time, especially for an early reservation.
Another wonderful evening at Piano Piano. Wonderful food, and excellent service.
Always highly recommended.
Amazing food. Waiter was perfect. No complaints. Had an amazing time.
Piano Piano has undoubtedly become my new favourite family restaurant. The food was delicious and my kids ate double. My 17 months old daughter and I gobbled the mushroom salad, cauliflower and mushroom pasta. Mushrooms are her favourite - I like them too! (I wish I could make it taste that good at home.) My 5 year-old had a kid size pizza (double the size of most kid pizzas in restaurants) and he ate it all. My 7 year-old got the kids pasta with butter and meatballs and could have done with a larger portion. Both boys had the soft serve ice cream and loved it. (Limited flavors - strawberry or vanilla.) My husband got a pizza he enjoyed. He also ate what my daughter and I were eating. I loved the wine that was recommended to me. Truly, I was pleasantly surprised at the amazing food, kid-friendly and laid-back atmosphere. It's nice to have a family restaurant that clearly cares about their food. And they are getting right!! Looking forward to eating there again!
Server was fantastic, but in comparison to restaurants of a similar caliber (pizza libretto, Terroni), food was not as tasty and was expensive. It seems like the restaurants caters to families with children as well, which is great, but too many people on their phones and iPads which leaves much to be desired for the vibe of the place. I went for cocktails at a place close by beforehand - I wish I had stayed there because the food and vibe was FAR superior.
Treated each of us to a glass of champagne. Food and service were great. We’ll definitely be back.
This place was very trendy with a happening vibe. Our online reservation indicated we were celebrating our anniversary, and we were greeted by our waitress at our table with two complimentary glasses of Prosecco - This was a nice touch. The Octopus and Veal Medallions were cooked to perfection, and the Sweet Hornet Pizza was spectacular. We planned to take some food home, but it was so good, we ate it all!
I booked the restaurant to celebrate my parents anniversary and have been to this restaurant with my work couple times. This time it was kind of disappointing because after 15 mins setting down, there was a gas leaking so we had to leave the restaurant. My parents came over sea to visit me and I really want to show them good food at Piano Piano.....It was very unfortunate that happened. I hope the staff were safe and ok that night.
Loved it. Great vibe and awesome food. Really friendly and helpful staff
Amazing food, great service and lovely ambiance. Probably a new favorite in Toronto!
Awesome food and service
