Service & food were mediocre at best. Not nearly as good as I had remembered. The guys behind the bar were extremely grumpy and did not attempt to hide the fact they wished they were anywhere but there. One of them got irritated when we told him who ordered which drink so he gave them to the right person. Are you kidding?! Our waitress was okay - not very friendly or welcoming but she got the job done. The pastas were so ordinary and disappointing - not restaurant quality. The pizzas were tasty, however, very soggy on the bottom - really ruined it for us. We will not be returning. I’m shocked that Piano Piano is still quite difficult to get a table at. So many better restaurants out there.

The food was good. I found that some selections from the menu were inconsistent in quality compared to my last visit. The service, this time around, was disgraceful. It took way too long for everything. I wasn’t even asked if I wanted drink refills. It’s quite unsettling that a server can just completely disregard the tables that they are responsible for, evidently because they are serving a large party and are seemingly content with that tip-out alone. If that’s they case, simply give the surrounding tables in your section away and focus what you’d like to focus on.

It was my friend’s birthday. The service was so bad. We asked for some items from a person that worked there that wasn’t our server and they seemed super annoyed. We had to keep waiving down the server to come to us. There was no one in the restaurant...

We found a metal screw in our pasta. The server handled everything well but no manager came to talk to us. I just couldnt recommend this restaurant anymore though

The space at lunchtime is rather large and impersonal. I imagine that in the evening with good lighting it is more pleasing. The service was spotty to abysmal. The food was good especially the polenta and Brussel sprout salad. Considering the restaurant was almost empty, the (lack of) attention from the service staff was really unacceptable. We had to ask passing servers to help us since our waiter appeared to be completely unavailable. Boo

I really don't understand the hype about the place. I was here two years ago and decided to give it another try. Food was average at best. Small portions, soggy pizza and indifferent service. Not worth the price at all. Will not be returning.

The food was really good and our server was very nice but I will not be going back. We did not have our appetizer longer than 5 minutes when our entrees came. We were sitting there with our appetizer in the middle trying to eat everything before they both got cold. It felt like they were rushing us out of there. I purposely ate my food slowly so I could attempt to enjoy the experience and the celebration of my husbands birthday, but honestly felt like they could not wait to free up our table. They were even trying to clear our plates before we were done eating. There were empty tables around us! Doesn't make sense. This upsets me even more because the server was super friendly and the food was really good. Please slow down, I did not enjoy myself at all.

I’ve been hearing great things about this restaurant and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately it was not up to all the hype. I’ve been to a number of restaurants in Toronto and this may have been one of the worst. The service was not good, very slow and not helpful with providing input/opinion on food or drinks. The food was ok, the burrata was good but the main pasta was not. The vodka pasta that I ordered was way too smokey like a campfire in my mouth not to mention it was very dry and not nearly enough noodle to sauce ratio. The sausage on the pasta seemed cheap, very fatty and not a lot of quality tasting meet. It was clear that the pasta and the drinks we didn’t like which seemed to upset the service we received, as if we didn’t matter. Perhaps it was just an off night. Overall I paid $140 for two and we weren’t even full. 0/10 would go back.

Second time there - the food is tasty but I felt that the service had not improved; this time, the waiter forgot to bring the dessert and was not very present throughout the 90 minutes we spent there ...I also found that the portion for the main dish from the lunch menu was really on the small side - a couple of tablespoons killed it so I probably would not order that again...the ambiance / deco is great though, but am not sure that will be enough to try a third time and hope to receive great service.

Delicious salads! But weird combos with pork in far too many dishes. Pasta portions look small. Raviolo was a small portion with no colour, no veg and dry inside, except for unexpected soft egg yolk inside . Pizza looks good but crust edge far too big: not much space for cheese/topping (good part). Sea bass very good. Excellent and pleasant service. Nice vibe.

I would not recommend Piano Piano for lunch. The lunch menu is limited and the portions are very small. While they do offer a lunch special, the value is lacking based on the portion size. The dinner menu, however, offers greater variety, and the portion size is much more generous. Therefore, I would consider recommending for dinner, but definitely not for lunch.

We were very excited about eating here and it didn’t disappoint. The food was great however, it took a very long time to get our pizza and pasta order. Over 30 min long! Other than the wait, everything else was great.
