Piano Piano Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful experience overall. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient (yet 'chill') staff advised sincerely and delivered the bounty from the kitchen. We had burrata, crispy chicken and salad to start. Each was fresh, tender, succulent and tasty. Creative spin on old school Italian food. Nonna would have approved! Grazie, Piano Piano!
This restaurant is easy to spot, with the stunning front facade. I loved the Dessert Chocolate Baudino the best of any dessert I had in Toronto
The food was excellent and the staff could not have been more accommodating related to some allergy issues. They were quick to let us know what was safe and what wasn’t. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and they allowed us to bring in our own dessert because of the allergies and even plates the dessert in a nice display and added a candle for the occasion. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Finally, we had two small children and the menu was very kid friendly while also offered numerous healthy choices. If I lived closed I would be a regular.
Great food, service and ambiance. Coming back for sure. Second trip and counting . Disappointed with the tequila cocktail. Hate it when menus say lime and its actually sweet lime cordial. Ick.
The foods was sub-par for the prices - pizza was doughy, pasta nothing special, burrata salad was fine but again nothing spectacular. There were fruit flies everywhere, and big ones at that. The service was on the slow side and not overly attentive. Decor is great but don't go there with high expectations for the food. Wine was fine but the mojito was extremely lime-y with not enough mint.
Simply put food was great. Service was bad. Maybe go back, sit at the bar and try the pizza.
Quality of food and service is remarkable. The ravioli is heaven!
Very accomodating. Amazing service. Delish food. Catered every single course with veggie and gluten free option. Thankful.
Excellent all around. Friendly attentive service, great atmosphere, DELICIOUS food. My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary. We got the burrata (amazing - perfect to share), a pizza (fantastic - not burnt as many reviews had is expecting), and two appetizer size pastas which were delicious and much bigger than other reviews had is expecting. Don't hesitate. Go.
Apps were amazing.. The calamari and smoked burrata. Sea bass was with salt and vinegar potatoes... Yes salt and vinegar were delicious. Our server was great.. Explained menu and answered all our questions.. Definitely go back again
We had a wonderful evening of fabulous food, service and ambiance Our server was excellent in helping us make choices
Very well ! Thank you for having us. Food was good
The ambience and decor of Piano Piano was lovely. Chic and modern, with soaring ceilings. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. Favorite item of the night was surprisingly the Caesar Salad. I had ordered the Bucatini Carbonara. When it arrived, it was made with Rigatoni. I asked why the dish came with Rigatoni and the grumpy waitress we had (she had a chip off her shoulder that night or something) said they ran out of bucatini so they changed it. Ok, but they didn't inform me of this change when I ordered, or afterwards when she found out. You don't offer lasagna, then toss penne in the sauce and say you ran out of lasagna sheets. Carbonara is meant to be served with long noodles. That's what I wanted, but did not get. Although I didn't ask, they did not comp any part of the meal and frankly our server couldn't care less. My date had the bone-in veal chop which was good. Again, nothing to write home about. Tiramisu wasn't traditional, but delicious none-the-less. Too bad the portion was ridiculously small.
Overall, I probably wouldn't go back.
My husband and I enjoyed a late dinner at Piano, Piano for our anniversary. We enjoyed both the food and the restaurant ambience. I enjoyed my menta Rosa cocktail. Not too sweet or strong, but just right. Our starter, the burrata was good, but the shining moment was my egg yolk raviolo. It was so unique and delicious. The runny yolk mixed nicely with the ricotta and spinach filling and the toast allowed me not to miss a bit of any of it! My husband enjoyed his pizza comparing it to other restaurant Napolitano pizzas. The lemon curd cheesecake was tart and sweet. It topped the dinner off nicely.
The kitchen closed at 11:00 pm and we arrived at around 10:30 pm so we were rushed by our server to order quickly. It was also very cold in the restaurant. I wasn't able to take off my jacket at all. I wasn't the only chilly diner there. Several others were also wrapped up to stay warm.
The service was disappointing as well as items not being on the menu
Went for my daughters birthday. Food was off the charts good! We ordered a big mix of items & nothing to complain about. Everything was great! My son said it was the best calamari he has ever had. Also the space in the restaurant is great w soaring ceilings & fun ambience. We will be back for sure. My only tiny complaint was a waitress went by & took a dish away that was not finished. No biggie, probably did me a favour after all I'd eaten 🤣
Hard surfaces make it very noisy and difficult to have a conversation.
Everything I've tried is very good. The mushroom cavatelli is beyond amazing!
My third time and it certainly does not disappoint. Our waitress was a delight and from the young ladies at the entrance to our final goodbyes, such a joy . This is what dining out is about. A jewel
Overall I love the place. The atmostsphere was very inviting and the staff was super friendly. Perfect for a date night and perfect for a night out with the ladies!
Our server was excellent. Had a wonderful evening.
Best pizza in town!!!! Very good service. Nice ambience. Wish I could go there more often.
I put down special occasions as birthday and left a note. I don't think they acknowledged it at all. Pizza and bread were burnt.
Good food..but overall a bit rich for me. Excellent pizza & great service!
Our table was available at the requested hour and we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful and did a great job of making the experience enjoyable. Food was excellent and servings were generous. Good value for money.
The place looks great from the outside and the inside looks fun but the ambiance was not there. To be fair it was a Sunday night but still it wasn't good enough.
The service was average to be fair and there were 5 different service very nonchalant not good for me.
And there was no piano or piano music in the restaurant however there was one next to the bathroom!
Loved the food, Was greeted by the front and was brought to our seat quickly. The food was amazing. We order apps, main dishes and dessert. Shared all the dishes, I was able to try everything. I defiantly will come back!
I really enjoyed everything about Piano Piano. We ended up having 1 appetizer, two appetizer sized pasta and a pizza. Every item was great and it was probably my favourite Italian meal I have ever had. Highly recommend.
The food is good. Lots of choices. Love the seabas. Service is great. Will recommend to friends.
Amazing food, great service. Highly recommend. Would definitely go again
Excellent in every way - food was superb - a cut above .
Consistently delicious. Room lacks ambiance but the food overrides that.
We just moved to the neighbourhood and came across this gem. We came in to celebrate a special occasion and were thrilled with the food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommended!
Make sure management does not fix his hair when walking in the kitchen.
Others great food
Food was exceptional! Special mention for the excellent service. Our first table was under
an air vent and we asked to move. The staff was so accommodating. Found us a more
comfortable setting right away. Our waitress helped with our menu selections and dessert
choices. Everything was delicious. What a fun dining experience!
Lovely dinner and our waitress was wonderful. They were very accommodating with our dietary needs. Beautiful restaurant. We enjoyed a very special dinner. Many thanks
Piano piano is a great restaurant. Food is top notch and the place overall was great. Nice Billy Madison reference in the guys washroom. I'm the guy on the second Piano
The ambiance was really nice but the food and service was a bit disappointing. The food was pricey but the quality was not on par with the price.
I went with a family including 2 kids, so I didn't feel that we got the value/quality of food for the money.
The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The food is excellent. The server was knowledgable and made excellent suggestions-- allowing us to make our selections and then adding to ours. We've dined there about 6 times now and each time has been as special as the last. Kudos.
