Great restaurant. We always enjoy our food and the service is great.
It was a cold windy day and we asked to be put in the back not near the door and without any hesitation the hostess was very accommodating. She also was our server and was very helpful. The food was excellent.
Easily the best Italian restaurant in Wilmington. Great wine selections and pastas. It's a regular haunt for us.
Fabulous meal and service celebrating our 30th Anniversary! All was just perfect including g to two specials we got as entrees: seafood stew and the tuna! The wine suggested was yummy.
Always a great meal and service. Our go to Italian place in Wilmington for a fine meal.
It was a very busy night (Valentines Day weekend), and the service definitely suffered from the rush. Nonetheless, a great dinner and enjoyable evening.
Great food and service. Good prices.
Small menu but I think that's what makes
the food so good.
The restaurant seated us roughly 40 minutes after our reservation time. It doesn’t appear there’s a reliable reservation system in place. Walk-ups were seated first. I will say that the staff did well with their situation.. Outside of seating walk-ups before reservations, had they happened to arrive first, of course. They were clearly over-booked. Not sure who’s fault that is, yours or theirs.
We had an 8:00 pm reservation. When we arrived at 8:05 we were told it would be about a 5 minute wait. We got a drink in the bar area to kill time and were finally seated at 9pm. There were two high school age girls running the hostess station with no manager in sight. I understand it was Valentines Day but the hostesses didn’t know what they were doing. They asked several times what our last name was again when we were sitting at bar. Our server was very good but our seating location was terrible and my husbands chair got knocked into like 10 times while we ate dinner. There were several empty tables throughout the night which leads me to believe they were understaffed. And again — no manager anywhere to be found to help the hostesses.
The food was delicious, and the service was awesome. I would definitely dine there again and recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
We came here for Valentine's Day and Amadu was awesome ! Answered all our questions, worked hard & was over all an amazing server ! We will definitely be asking for him in the future:) give that man a raise !
Sunday early meal after wine tasting at Moore’s. Place is starting to look a little tired and worn out. Limited menu on Sunday night, but we knew that. Buffet too, but we are not buffet people. Our waitress was good, very busy with a number of tables, but took care of us. All had pasta, and was good, but nothing outstanding.
This is a really good neighborhood Italian restaurant! The menu was terrific and the food looked good on the plate and tasted delicious!
After suffering from declining food quality and a lack of attention from management for the past few years, this Trolley Square staple appears to be back to its old self. My last few visits have been very positive experiences with attentive staff and excellent food. I was happy to see a few creative specials in addition to the regular menu. I’m looking forward to once again enjoying the outdoor dining this spring.
Good service and food. Enjoyed the oven baked breadsticks. Olive oil could’ve been seasoned for more flavor. The scallops were excellent. The eggplant parm appetizer somewhat mushy and underwhelming. The octopus appetizer was tasty but small amount of octopus overall. A nice dinner but nothing memorable.
The atmosphere, service, and the food were great. It was a romantic spot. I took my partner here and we had a great might. Only thing I would say is that the food was not anything exceptional. It was good, but it didn’t blow me away. Overall, the restaurant is a good place for a romantic evening.
Absolutely amazing as usual! The seasonal special of scallops and lobster was amazing! The Old Fashion was the best!! The fig and blue cheese pizza was heavenly!!! And, the staff aims to create the best experience.
Always a great place for a meal whether it's lunch or dinner!
Great meal! Our food and wine was delicious. We will definitely go back!
We enjoyed an early dinner on New Years Eve with friends. The service was very good
and the four of us enjoyed our food. A good experience. Would recommend it
I wanted the food to be better. The beet salad had so little goat cheese on it you could hardly tell it was there. The spaghetti Bolognese was just okay. A few of the linguine noodles were hard and stuck together. The sauce was uninspiring for a bolognese sauce.
This was our first visit. Feast of Seven Fishes was terrific! Loved the wine pairings
Except for the fact that our table preference was not accommodated upon arrival … which resulted in us having to initially set at a poor location. We indicated our displeasure .. and explained how we not only indicated our preference when making the reservation and when the restaurant called to confirm our reservation. They had no clue nor saw anything in the system.
Unfortunately, that set a tone for the rest of the evening. But the food was fine, and our server was accommodating. And the tables adjacent to us added to the fun with pleasant conversation.
But the cold air coming in whenever the front door opens is simply unacceptable.
Great food in a comfortable setting with reasonable noise levels and a good wine list.
Outstanding pasta dishes!
Our party of 7 enjoyed our delicious meal. Our waitress was personable and knowledgeable.
We usually make it to Piccolina Toscana once or twice a year. I left mildly disappointed after this last visit. Food was good but not quite as good as I remember. I had the Pork Cheeks special and was underwhelmed by the fact that about 20% of the pasta was lumped together and not fully cooked. Mentioned to the server when she cleared the plates (pointed out the undercooked pieces that I didn't eat). She was mildly dismissive and since the manager did not stop by before our departure, we weren't even sure if the feedback was shared.
After all these years and many visits to one version or another of Toscana, the food remains fresh, imaginative, and delicious. The menu changes often enough to keep it interesting, and the wines are just simply wonderful.
I have been in the area a few years, and my wife and I eat out frequently with friends. At places like Eclipse, El Camino, Taverna, Capers and Lemons, Buckleys Tavern, Krazy Katz, Four Dogs Tavern, and Wilmington CC. I think PT is way underrated in comparison to those establishments, as its name hardly ever comes up in discussions with friends on selecting a restaurant for any given night. The warm bread, the varied wine and food menu, the quality of the food, the attentiveness and thoroughness of the servers...all has been consistently excellent in the 6-7 times we have eaten at PT. The only thing it falls a little short in is decor but, like Eclipse, the other traits make up for that. In short, PT is one of our top choices for eating out in the Wilmington area.
My husband and I decided to do pasta tonight. I started with the leek potato soup which was to die for! I chose agnolotti stuffed with eggplant served with fresh vegetables mix in Brown sauce. Yummy. Finished with fried peach pie, bourbon sauce and vanilla gelato. Perfection.
Superb, authentic Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere you would expect in New York. Service was beyond wonderful. The restaurant was full but the noise level was nonexistent. Great evening and great place for ”catching up” conversation with our daughter. We will be back whenever visiting Wilmington.
Salmon great as was tuna tartare they did not appear to have enough servers in hand for Friday evening rush food good server very nice I would recommend nice wine list and cocktail list good menu additions nightly too
Food was delicious & waitress was attentive. Great meal!
My lamb was very good. My friend's salmon also. Neither great, but very good. We were able to eat outside on a beautiful evening, and the noisy table next to us left soon. We could actually talk--not usual in a restaurant these days. Our server was lovely and helpful to me in choosing my wine a quite good Sauvignon Blanc from Africa I had never tried.
Perhaps I chose the wrong entree, but the eggplant ravioli was good but it was smothered in spinach, mushrooms, tomato etc -- which eliminated the enjoyment of the pillows of heaven.
We are the only table throughout the evening so its really quite. But the Mussel appetizer has a really really strong smell, like really strong, does not taste good at all. Waiter spilled sauce on us but offered a $8 discount. Entree is okay.
Fabulous tortellini and Restaurant Week dinner. Service needed improvement with request for ice requiring 3 requests and 15 min wait. The "bruschetti" was more like a flatbread and much too large for an appetizer - get it to share.
Great. Restaurant week
Delicious food with great service! I will definitely be returning.
