Like eating Michelin star food in someone’s front room. Highly recommend the wine pairing which showcased different styles and varieties of wine. One member of our party said it was the best food she had ever had!

Nice service, ambiance and a good quantity of food. However, I feel the dishes lacked finesse for the standing of the restaurant, especially given the price of the menu. Moreover, the house wine wasn't good; it lacked depth and was very tart, we were unable to finish it and only drank a glass. We were shocked given the price of it too.

Delightful experience at Pidgin, tucked away in the residential streets of Dalston. Staff were lovely and the whole atmosphere of the place was cosy and intimate. The food came at the perfect pace, making for a lovely long catch up and all round experience. Food was yummy and inventive.

Absolutely exquisite meal with surprising, delicate flavours and dishes. We were greeted with a big smile and altogether the service was nicely paced, informative and friendly. My only possible critique is 1. the music was a touch too loud and slightly intrusive, and 2. more reasonably priced wines... But it was a special occasion and the meal was faultless. It was also very nice to be given a birthday candle.

In hindsight, the concept of never repeating a dish week-on-week is not conducive to a great tasting menu. There can't be much time to perfect the dishes before serving to customers and that showed.

Pidgin is and will always be my one of my favourite dining spots in London. Chef Hassan brings a great new wind and the personal experience and background in his dishes is phenomenal! Food was truly 10/10! The service kept up the pace, perhaps a bit too much. We would have loved a bit more time to really take in the exceptional dishes.

Fantastic restaurant and wonderful food. The challenge with offering 7 courses is keeping the dishes flowing. As the restaurant got busier the service slowed. At 1hr 20min in and with a music concert to head to, we had to let the staff know the last 3 courses would have to be served more quickly.

A very good dining experience. Innovative menu. Exactly what I wanted and will certainly go again. Food was promptly served and as each course arrived a description of each was given. The “refresher” between savoury and sweet was, for us, a piece de resistance

We had a wonderful time and great experience. Service was friendly, casual, and cheerfully helpful. The food was great. Each course was great on it's own, and as a sequence even better. I struggle to pick a favorite - the smokey venison, and the diakon croquettes were worth the extra mention. All in all, loved it.

My wife and I dined at Pidgin, where the food displayed immense creativity and meticulous craftsmanship. Their ever-changing weekly menu, featuring seasonal ingredients, added an exciting twist to our dining experience. While some dish descriptions from the servers were a bit challenging to fully grasp, every bite was an absolute delight. Even the simplest items like bread and butter were elevated to a state of culinary sublimity. However, the true star of the meal was the dessert—a peanut butter cookie served with cream and peanut butter ice cream. It was a heavenly treat. I wish I could've had another portion! The restaurant's ambiance exuded warmth and coziness, making us feel right at home. The service was exceptional, thanks to the highly knowledgeable staff. I wholeheartedly recommend giving Pidgin a try for a unique and delicious dining experience.

Very pleased with ease of booking, the welcome, the professionalism of the team and of course the food and drink - excellent on all counts. Just a minor point - the music where we were sat was a little too loud to clearly hear the servers with their detailed descriptions of the food and wine.

Overall a good meal but we were squeezed into a table right beside a server partition wall and it felt very claustrophobic. Service was a bit uneven, slow at first and too fast towards the end. Be prepared for very unusual wines (which we did know about so ok). I wanted to like it more.

The first bite lets you know the meal is going to be special. Last night it was an onion bhaji with a ricotta and chili 'sandwich'... both were perfect combinations of flavors and textures. The tofu, centenary egg and hunan dressing were wonderful, mostly because of the hunan dressing. And everything that followed was also delicious, although I could have done with a much smaller 'main' course (3 pieces of rabbit). But when you go, don't expect the same menu. The 9-course tasting menu changes weekly, and none of the dishes are ever repeated! The restaurant isn't formal or stuffy or even expensive for this level of cooking. The tasting menu is around 72 pounds; my total was just over 100 pounds including two glasses of wine. The only drawbacks are they apparently don't serve coffee (I didn't ask, but no other table had any and there's literally no room in the tiny restaurant and kitchen for a kettle, let alone an espresso machine) and there aren't a lot of white wines offered by the glass. But I'll happily go back.

For a meal of over £100 a head you really should deliver top notch food, and although some of the courses were very good, a fair few were very distinctly average and simply not what you'd expect from a Michelin starred eatery. Quite disappointing all in all.

My third time at Pidgin. As always, the food was delicious and the service was the perfect amount of attention. Each time, the menu has been different and beautifully constructed. This time we went with the wine pairing which was lovely. The Pinot mixed with some Syrah was particularly nice.
