It was a delicious meal! The mushrooms and cauliflower was outstanding! However, the portion sizes were very small for the prices. My friend and I ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees and shared all dishes, and still felt hungry afterwards. I recommend coming here when you have a semi-full stomach.

Creative, delicious food, wonderful drinks and superior service! The cauliflower will take your breath away, and the mushrooms will bring you to tears. Wish we’d tried the tasting menu- next time!

We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was fantastic and getting all of the info from the server with every course was very interesting. Great variety and beautiful flavours.

Really very delicious food! I don't know how they made mushrooms and cauliflower taste SO GOOD. All the dishes we had were very tasty, but I'd only come for a special occasion as it is a bit pricey particularly as the portions are rather small. The restaurant has a nice casual feel to it with dim lighting and was pretty quiet. The service was nice and attentive as well.

Service was really slow and subpar, it seemed like our server was forgetting to enter items as other tables who were seated later got served food sooner. He was also slow to bring a glass of red wine to go with the foie gras bowl (which I highly recommend ordering!) so that I had almost finished the course by the time the wine arrived. The food was mostly very good although I found the hamachi disappointing. Cocktails were great, as was wine selection, both B.C. and international. It was a mixed experience and I’m unsure whether we’ll go back.

We chose Pidgins to treat our adult son for his birthday dinner. We were a party of three and we picked the prix fixe menu. We were served 11 courses. Each course was very interesting and tasty. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions patiently. We felt welcomed and comfortable in the casual atmosphere. We would recommend this restaurant to our friends.

The mushroom salad wowed. The rest - the rice bowls were ok but not on the yum yum nth chart- the special, the sable fish, had elegance in preparation and simplicity - deserts no great shakes - service, hip but not ultra aware. Would order differently next time...and there will be a next time

I cannot understate how incredible the food was here. Everything from the Cauliflower to the Foie Gras rice bowl was truly mindblowing and vasly exceeded our expectations.

It was my friend and I’s last meal in Vancouver before we flew back Toronto. We had a wonderful meal here. Everything we ordered was equally unique and delicious. Our cocktails were also a great compliment to our meal. Our server, Alex, was very informative, patient, and provided great hospitality. We will definitely be back whenever we visit Vancouver again!

Hands down my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. I live for their oyster shots, cod roe potatoes and foie gras rice bowl. Staff are super friendly, interior is beautiful, drinks are super yummy and they have the best moscow mule in the city for happy hour!

I visited several years ago shortly after they opened and remembered how delicious their food and drinks were. I found myself back in Vancouver recently and wanted my partner to experience the food. Sadly, it wasn't as great as I remember. The food was fine - nothing exciting or groundbreaking. Service is where they really dropped the ball. It was slow and even though the restaurant barely at 40% capacity, I rarely saw my server. I had to scrap my dessert order after waiting nearly 20 minutes, and seeing the large table next to us get their dessert orders before us even though we placed the order well ahead of them. Skip this place and go to Kissa Tanto instead. Delicious food and drinks, and seamless service. Everything Pidgin used to have.

Wasn’t wowed by the food and I had read some decent reviews. Odd pairings and just not flavours I would want to eat again. One server was good but the other just always seemed uncomfortable. Intimate interior and maybe it was just an off night but was let down by the food.

Visited Vancouver and found this place, unique. From Boston and limited exposure to Asian Fusion- and this was done with most unusual combination of flavors and ingredients, but tastes were balanced and interesting. Staff couldn't have been nicer and more attentive, as well as knowledgeable. It was a quiet night and probably allowed for more attention than usual. neighborhood could be off putting to some, but we took a cab, and was not a deterrent. atmosphere was good, with or original art work on the walls.
Very good food.

The food was outstanding. Every time I eat here the food seems to get better. The overall food experience was great. The only negative was one of the wait staff who keep bumping into us as we were dining. Not very sensitive to the fact that the tables are tightly placed.

This place is phenominal! Excellent creative menu, knowledgeable and personable staff, just an all-around perfect experience. For our anniversary we had the tasting menu with a beverage pairing that exceeded any rational expectation. Not inexpensive but worth it.

We enjoyed the food! The summer salad was complex and and delicious. The eggplant and okra was tasty but I would have preferred the eggplant to have cooked a minute more. Still it was very good!

The sockeye salmon was also very good but I would have much preferred to have the fillet grilled rather than sous vide. The tomato confit was delicious as were the fresh heirloom tomatoes. The strange combination of celery and chiso in the granita was a very nice surprise and very delicious!

We shared the two desserts: honey panna cotta thickened with agar agar, which made it a bit less rich but still delicious and perfect for hot weather, and the chocolate pudding with cherries and lychee, which was also very good. The two desserts complemented each other.

I wish I tried the pork belly because it looked very good.

It was our first trip to Vancouver. We ate here at a friend’s recommendation. It was fantastic - especially the mushroom dish with the purée, sauce, and ramen egg!

All courses were delicious and the service was helpful and knowledgeable.

We only wish we had more time so we could have opted for the full tasting menu. Would definitely make it a point to return next time we’re in town.

We both ordered the prix fix menu and were delighted with many of the dishes.

We felt the summer salad had a bit too much salt.

I felt the duck was perfect. Absolutely remarkable job with the duck.
