    No creativity in the traditional dishes. Clam chowder was bland and had more shrimp than clams in it. Lobster Thermidor was very salty, and we could not taste the cheese it is supposed to contain, only the breading. The lemon tart was excellent, the only place I know of in Montreal that actually makes it tart. Service was very friendly, but I'm guessing they are under-staffed as most everywhere else. The fish was overcooked, thus dry. Overall quite disappointing.

    How disappointing. Thankfully the Maitre D tried her best to make up for the chef horrible dishes. We were super frustrated to have paid so much $ for the very bad food. We will never go again.

    I have been walking past this restaurant for a while, and often when going down to the other restaurant in the basement (Same owner..) This time, I tried it ! The food was AMAZING ! I had the Lobster Ravioli and it was out of this world !!!!

    Appetizer of seared scallops topped with caviar and grilled parsnips was unique and delicious. Lobster and snow crab poutine and lobster tails over risotto were also outstanding. Service by Eloise was excellent. First time to this place in Old Montreal but it won’t be the last.

    We were treated very well from start to finish. We had lobster ravioli,salmon and also tuna tartare. It was all delicious and made with a terrific blending of spices that enhanced the flavors. We enjoyed our evening immensely.

    This a a lovely quaint seafood place. The food was very good and the service was incredible. The kind staff even helped us find our next destination by actually accompanying us! We would never have found it otherwise! I will definitely come back here again when in Montreal.

    We came for a birthday dinner for 2. The waiter barely spoke to us through the entire meal, appy and entree. We were not checked on, we refilled our own wine glasses (which is fine had we been checked on even once). The restaurant was not busy, 6 tables with 2 servers. Food was ok, but there are much better choices in Old Montreal.

    J'ai pris la guédille de homard et mon amie la pieuvre grillée et nous avons été toutes les deux très satisfaites de notre repas. Plusieurs bons vins sont offerts au verre ce qui est très apprécié. Serveur très sympathique et attentionné. Décor charmant.

    Oysters were great but incredibly overpriced. Had the 'lobster' roll, I'm certain there was no lobster, tasted more like Cole slaw stuffed into a cold hot dog bun. Food was terrible, prices way too high for what you get. Ambiance was nice and it's in a great location.

    Les tables un peu trop proches les unes des autres. Le niveau de bruit un peu élevé car ni fenêtres ouvertes ni matériaux insonorisés. Assiettes joliment présentées et qualité de nourriture très satisfaisante. Staff très patient et sympathique.

    Nous avons passé une très belle soirée chez Pincettes. Un accueil courtois et professionnel ,une très belle carte qui valorise le homard. Le service est attentif et agréable. Les mets sont vraiment bien réalisés et très savoureux. Une belle découverte et une belle expérience.

    Bon restaurant si vous désirez manger du homard, le choix est là! En général, bon restaurant, paisible. Petit points à améliorer: - les couteaux de mer contenaient du sable - pétoncles superbes au niveau de cuisson mais la sauce trop sucré manque d'acidité - ravioli, super bon, mais très salés Merci :)

    Nous sommes souvent venus à Pincette en couple pour plusieurs occasions et nous avons toujours adoré notre experience. La soirée hier nous a un peu déçue. Notre serveuse n’était pas toujours attentive et elle s’est trompée dans notre commande sur un des deux plats. Au lieu de laisser le plat à mon conjoint elle est repartie avec les deux plats et nous avons attendu quelques temps avant d’avoir nos deux plats commandés. Mon conjoint avait pris un homard complet et son assiette est arrivée froide (comme si elle avait été laissé sur un comptoir) nous ne voulons pas gaspiller de la nourriture alors nous n’avons rien dit. Mais tout était froid, y compris ses frites. Pour une assiette de plus de 70$ nous étions déçus. Nous avions une grosse facture à la fin (une bouteille de chablis, un homard entier et un risotto) et nous sommes repartis déçus de notre expérience. Nous espérons que c’était juste un peu de malchance et nous essaierons de revenir dans quelques temps. Cordialement

    Small lobster restaurant with limited choice but mostly tasty, I guess (I tasted lobsters ravioli only). Western style of salmon tartare and scallops are great.

    Excellent casual lobster restaurant in Old Montreal. The food was outstanding, the space was charming, and prices were very reasonable for a restaurant where lobster is the star of the menu. One of the best, if not the best, places we ate during a long weekend in Montreal.
