It was a quiet night but service was still not very attentive. Ordered a Spanish coffee, was rimmed with salt! No attempt to replace it for no charge! Mains are too expensive for the location and ambiance-resembles an upgraded cafeteria. Three dollars for stale bread! Place needs ventilation! Won't return.

The service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, personal. It a lovely birthday celebration even better. The food was tasty, but the chicken was dry, although i had asked the server to make sure it was moist. I know that there are certain safety standards as regards chicken but i would have preferred it to be a little less done, if possible.

Chose Piri-Piri for our first night in Toronto based on reviews and loved every minute. When our first flight was cancelled and our second had delays, we had to move our dinner reservation back 90 minutes and they could not have been nicer and even let us keep our outside table even though the patio was pretty much full due to lovely weather. We started with a white wine from Portugal, bread board and olives, which were plentiful and delicious, and after asking Tiago, our server, about the restaurant's name, he said it was named for a pepper that was brought to Portugal from Africa and they use it in many of their dishes, including a wonderful house made spicy/tangy sauce that he brought us a bowl of to dip our bread. For entrees, we had the salmon, which was perfectly grilled and a HUGE portion, sided with fresh veggies and an off-the-menu vegetarian pasta that was way too good to stop eating until the plate was empty. We took Tiago's suggestion from the long list of dessert offerings - a parfait style whipped cheesecake topped with mango puree. After dessert, he surprised us with glasses of port to help us forget our travel problems. Great food, great service, great evening!

Had dinner with my family. What a hidden gem of a restaurant. The seafood was amazing. Service was great. Really loved the grilled sardines. Kids loved the calamari and pizza as well. Highly recommend.

Me and my boyfriend went to Piri Piri Grill for our anniversary. Overall our experience was really great! The restaurant wasn’t too loud it had a nice modern setting and the food was delicious! We would definitely come back again if given the opportunity!

Overall: What an amazing neighbourhood gem! I first visited here 10 months ago and the server had recognized me and recalled when I had visited. The restaurant has wonderful food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere both dining indoors (as we did this time) and outdoors (which I did last time). Complimentary bread: Upon being seated, you're provided with complimentary bread and a spicy dipping spread (nice heat, not overly spicy). Appetizers: We had both the grilled and fried calamari. Both were good, but hands down the grilled calamari is amazing. Main course: I went with the whole seabass, and it was as excellent as it was last time. My partner had the steak-frites which was cooked to perfection and was good and stated it was very good. The fries were freshly cut and homemade. Best homemade fries I've ever had to be honest. Dessert: The last time we were there, they provided our table with the last Natas Do Ceu as it was not a full portion for us to each have a spoonful. It was that memorable that we each had one (No chance of sharing this time, it's that good). It translates to "heaven" for a reason. Of course we'll be back! And, of course I'd recommend this restaurant to others. Lasting Thought: We were treated like VIP the moment we entered until the moment we left. We were attended to promptly, but not overly, nor rushed. It was truly a wonderful experience that I hope to re-experience time and time again.

We went to Piri Piri quite a number of times over the past 20+ years. We didn't go over the past few years, and now, July 2022, we noticed a decline in the quality of the meals. We didn't wait very long for our food either, which is appreciated. Plates should be more authentic Portuguese. It is expensive. The service at the table was great though!

This was our first visit. To the owner - we found you just because you use Open Table. I am not sure we would have found you otherwise since we do not live in the neighbourhood. This was Father's Day and they did simplify the menu a bit to keep things moving. This was not an issue as there was something that appealed to everyone in our party. We came for the sea food. The grilled squid was done to perfection, with a delicate oil. The octopus was very tender, and well presented with vegetable and potato. My whole grilled sea base was tender, and parted from the bones with ease. The deserts (cheese cake) was extremely light and complemented the meal very nicely. We sat on the patio. The service was attentive and always timely. This is a location that I will return to.

Food was ok, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The food was warm and not hot as though it was precooked and just re-heated. Would have prefered the grilled calamari to be fresh off the grill as well as thw churizo. Presentation was nice but again if food is warm and not hot who cares about presentation.

Service was great. Piri-Piri sauce was bland, could have been tastier. Shrimp aperitif was less than luke warm in sauce. It was not peeled which made for messy eating. Lemon should have been on side not in the sauce. Bread could have been warm, would have been nice with sauce and oil. Squid was not properly cleaned, veggies bland, and no salt and pepper on table. Pizza was great.
