Absolutely wonderful! I had their Blue Moon special prex fixe menu with 6 courses and wine pairings. It was phenomenal! Great service and a lovely setting especially with the Blue Moon out! They even had live music. A fantastic dining experience!

We had another wonderful dinner last night. Alfredo waited on us and he is so kind and fun! I had the Heirloom tomato salad and the creamy coconut rice with lobster. Both were delicious! I finished with a delicious Espresso Martini and the chocolate dessert. The dessert was very good, but way too much for one person to eat!

What a difference a day makes! We tried Pitahayas again for dinner here at Hacienda Del Mar, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Service was great, attentive, but not intrusive. We began with the amuse bouche of falafels, with a side of a middle eastern tomato sauce… Delicious! For appetizers, we tried the sashimi tuna and the grilled octopus. The appetizers arrived quickly, and were served at an excellent temperature. The tuna was super fresh, and the side dollops of wasabi were the perfect match. The grilled octopus may have been pan-grilled or fried, as opposed to grilled, but it made no difference. Outstanding taste, especially when paired with the sauce on the side; and there was a lot of octopus there, easily an entree-sized serving. For our entrées, we selected the crusted sea bass, and the blackened fisherman’s catch, also sea bass, or perhaps the equally popular local grouper. The both fish were expertly prepared. The plate presentation of the crushed fish was excellent, and the soy-based sauce underneath the fish was very tasty. The blackened fish was divine, and the side brussels delicious. We ordered wine for dinner, a Roganto sauvignon blanc, an excellent representation of the varietal from Mexico. The wine was served appropriately chilled, and the table bottle service was perfect. Special shout out to the entire staff, well done! Special hat tip to Mimi at the bar, easily one of the best bartenders in Mexico, and so pleasant to chat with about cocktails, local cuisine, etc. A wonderful evening at a 5-star restaurant!

We dined at Pitihayas during our stay at Hacienda del Mar. We walked in at 7:45pm, and were seated immediately; the place was 40% full at most. No reservation needed. The "slow time" at the resort is May through Sept, which is why we visit in May/June every year. We dined at Pitahayas during the week of the June full moon. We arrived just before moon rise, so we decided to share the Full Moon Food/Wine Pairing menu. The food was good, the wine pairings were great (Som. Christopher Perez - most excellent). The service/timing of food/wine presentation was terrible. Most dishes were delivered, and we'd have to wait 10 minutes or so for the wine pairing to be poured, but that time the food was cold. Our waiter tried to pick up the slack, but twice brought the wrong wine to the table. The prices are over the top, excessive for the CSL market, but the resort has a "captive audience" in that it's not very easy or convenient to go off the resort for other dining options. Bottom line... good food, great wine pairing, service isn't that great and the prices are excessive. Our last visit to Pitahayas was not that memorable, this visit did little to change our minds.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful setting. The waiters were good, but slow with the check. The appetizer was delicious, but my main course, the fresh tuna, was not excellent. It was supposed to be grilled, but had no grill flavor, and it didn’t seem very fresh. Other than that it was a good experience. I would go back again.

Very disappointed in the service. It felt like the waiter was new and confused. For the exorbitant price this is not acceptable! Will never go back, sea bass was excellent as was the location.

We chose this restaurant for a date night after finding a review that said it was vegetarian friendly. Being vegetarian it is hard to find good options in the area. They had a separate vegetarian menu which was great, most dishes on there were quasi salads. We ordered beets and mixed greens as apps, risoto and roasted broccoli as mains. Everything was delicious. The bread and pallet cleanser courses were great too. We finished with coconut mouse and creamy chocolate dessert. The chocolate one was our favorite. The coconut mouse had a little too much sugar. The ambulance of the place is simply awesome. They are on the cliff overlooking the ocean. Wide open space with live music. Would definitely go back if we are in the area.

The staff is warm and welcoming from the minute you check in for your reservation. The ambiance and setting of the restaurant is spectacular with a beautiful ocean view. We were lucky enough to see whales breaching from our table viewpoint. The menu is for discerning tastes with creative selections that bring out the flavors of the food. The food is made fresh and simply delicious! We had a wonderful experience and will definitely go back!

Food was excellent. Service was atrocious. 3 hours from arriving at the restaurant to departing. it could have been longer but we decided to take the incorrect overcharge presumably for a top off of a glass of wine out of the waiter’s tip rather than spend another 30 minutes resolving the matter.

Service is absolutely outstanding. Food was excellent too. Do allow yourself a good two hours for dinner though if you plan on having 3 courses. Bread, surprise taster from the chef and sorbet pallet cleanser in between courses in such a treat! Live musicians are talented!

We made a reservation on Open Table in October for 2 people at 9PM on 12/31. There was no notice on the site for special seating or pricing for New Year’s eve. We were never contacted back by the restaurant or Open Table regarding either or a change or additional information. We received a confirmation of our reservation. When we arrived on 12/31, we were informed that there was only a set menu for $200/person. When we were surprised and said we were never told this, the manager said “he closed the book in November.” I asked why they took our reservation without informing us of the special menu and pricing, we were told it was because they didn’t have my contact info. I advised the manager that this was impossible since the reservation was made through Open Table and they could have contacted me via the App. We were uninterested in paying $400 for dinner, especially when we did not care for everything on the set menu. We left very disappointed on a night when it is very hard to get a walk-in seating elsewhere. Luckily one of our favorite sushi restaurants was still open (for just 1 hour — we had to rush). Overall very disappointing and a total failure on the part of the restaurant to state their policy for NYE and advise customers- especially those who had made reservation well in advance.

On vacation in Cabo and a friend recommended this restaurant. The service was excellent from welcoming us to the wait staff. The food was delicious and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend for food and atmosphere. It was open air dining and lovely.

I have come to this Pitahayas for the past two years bringing friends, and the food is always great and I love the soft music. But this time the service was not up to par, not sure what changed but in the past the service was always topnotch. This time we had to wait to be seated and wait a while for our food and check. We sat for over 35 minutes With no wine waiting for them to apparently go and try and find a bottle after we had sat for 20 minutes ordering a bottle that they then came back and told us they didn’t have. When you are paying that much for food and the experience that should never happen. No offered to do any compensation at all.
