Pizzeria Libretto King
Libretto aims to be loyal to what real pizza is, invented in Naples, Italy using local ingredients, cooked in a wood fire oven at extremely high heat; to achieve a charred, blistered crust. We use San Marzano tomatoes and Fiore di latte mozzarella, brought in fresh daily. Our dough is made with naturally leavened Italian Caputo dopio zero flour. Our pizza bakes in less than 90 seconds in our 900° wood burning oven, hand built for us by a 3rd generation pizza oven maker in Naples. Simple, Honest and Natural. -Chef Rocco Agostino & Max Rimaldi
I love coming to this place. The service and food is always great.
Okay atmosphere, and good service. But the food was "adequate." The pasta quality, despite the boast of being home-made, was nothing special, and it was over-sauced with a very unimpressive meat sauce. I didn't try the pizza, but those at the table who had it felt that just adequate was a good description. We went with guests in town, made the mistake of not eating there first ourselves, and ended up apologizing for the food. So, no, actually, we won't give it another try.
Unlike all the other locations this one was extremely loud, so loud that the waitress asked us to repeat all orders and we couldn’t carry a conversation. Service was also unusually chaotic: 10’ wait before being seated, more waiting before water arrived, appetizers arrived before drinks, bread forgotten, and pizza although tasty arrived cold and not at the same time. Wouldn’t recommend this location.
So great that they have a dedicated gluten free oven. Apparently the best gluten free pizza ever (says my friend with Celiac Disease).
Delicious pizza and great place to chat with your friends.
Food was amazing and service was great! Definitely will be returning!
As a parent, I always appreciate how welcoming they are at the King St. location. Not many places downtown are as an easy meal with kids as Pizzeria Libretto.
This is hands down the best pizza in Toronto. The ingredients are simple and fresh and don't overpower the pizza. The crust is amazingly chewy and stretchy like it's supposed to be. They've recently added pasta to their menu which I haven't tried yet but you can't go wrong with any of their appetizers, salads or desserts. I would highly recommend the kale salad with the Green goddess dressing. Lastly, the service has always been great and the staff have always gone out of their way to accommodate for special requests when possible. Love, love, love this place. Truly a gem of a place on King Street.
I always go there for dinner with my friend and sometimes with my extended family. We always get good service and we love the promotions. They had great affordable prices as well and good quality food! I love their pizza and salads
This was a very nice place to eat. It could be a nice option for many occasions.
Love Libretto. Always delicious
Great dining experience at Libretto ! Appetizers were amazing and so were the pizzas ! Service was a little slow at times, but not that big of a deal. Sat outside on the patio which was very nice.
Libretto’s pizza is incredible! They also had DELICIOUS gluten and dairy free options. Definitely would recommend!
The gnocchi...they are the type and quality of gnocchi I've been looking for, for 10 years probably. Drinks were delicious. It was a great place to grab a bite after a long day. Atmosphere was relaxed and wonderful.
The food and service are always excellent.
The gluten free pizza in particular is OUTSTANDING and cannot be beat.
Food was good and they were able to work with my friend who can’t eat gluten. Juice menu was a nice treat too and service was overall smooth.
A lot of very good posts pushed us to go to Libretto. At the end the pizza was average, neither good, neither bad.
Excellent pizza - good lively atmosphere on a Saturday night
It was wonderful! Great food and ambiance - the fried gnocchi is to die for! I’d go back in a heart beat.
Celebrated my sisters birthday here before heading to a concert. Quality food and well priced. Servers were attentive and helpful with helping us decide what to order as it was our first time here. Had a great time! Will definitely be back!
Love this place, service is always good and prompt, cannot go wrong with the food. Great meatballs and crispy egg salad - 10/10
Great selection of pizza choices, good salads, service!!
Always good food and service :) Waitress was super patient and kind with my rather picky guest.
This is authentic Italian food. The pizza was great as was the gnocchi. I would go back again!
We made a reservation which was unnecessary. The greeter was unimpressive but our server was excellent.
Food was good as always,
Authentic Napolese style pizza with a fresh salad and a good choice of drinks. What else do you want from a local pizzeria?

What’s not to like?
Lunch and drinks were top notch. One of our guests with Celiac disease was confident eating the gluten-free pizza cooked in the dedicated oven. The gluten-free crust was one of the best we’ve ever tasted. Service was quick and friendly. Will be going back soon.
Really good pizza!
Alway enjoy eating here. All their restaurants are consistent overall.
Pizzeria Libretto provides food that is a notch above in terms of interest, quality and finesse.
By far best gluten free pizza!!!! Definitely reccomend and Celiac friendly!
I was there for a business lunch, and even though we requested everything arrive at the same time, I had to wait for the main that I ordered. The restaurant wasn't as busy as I've seen at the University location. the party I was with had to wait until I finished my meal.
One if my favourite restaurants due to the food. Particularly the kale salad and the buffalo marguerita pizza. Thus location however was disappointing. It was Mothers Day. No greeting at the door, service rushed wirh 4 fife tent waiters serving us. It wasn’t being however we felt rushed. Would have enjoyed more of an experience given the cost of dinner.
one of our all-time favourite places. however, one thing we keep forgetting is that tomato is swapped for beets in the caprese salad this time of year. unfortunate because that’s always a hit with tomatoes. found that our pizzas took a little longer than usual, but we still love this place. normally an issue with our son that gets restless - as any kid. at the same time, love that it’s kid-friendly. we love the pizza, calamari and tomato caprese salad. it reminds us of our favourite pizza spot in nyc - kesté
We visited with a party of 14 that included 5 kids ages 3-10. Seated at a long table together the environment was perfectly suited to the group. Service was fast and the food quality was great. Pizza is simple fast food. It's not rocket science - quality ingredients and some basic skill. I find it shocking how many restaurants manage to survive making pizza that doesn't make the grade. Libretto is simple authentic quality pizza in a family friendly atmosphere that encourages lively interaction.
Accommodated my dietary restrictions, I was so appreciative. Hands down best pizza I have ever had!
We often eat at the Ossington location and we’re disappointed with the food. The salads were no where near the quality we’ve had at the other location
Best gluten free pizza in the city and its Celiac friendly!!!
It’s has been really a pleasure to have dinner in Libretto pizzeria. I came from the south of Italy, Naples, and Libretto cooked a pizza better than more pizzerias in Naples.
The pizzas are usually delicious here. But the veggie ricotta was way too soggy. Never had such a soggy pizza before. Tiramisu and donuts were delicious. Service was good. Ambience was nice. Ill go back, but definitely ordering something else.
