   I was one of four that was somewhat disappointed with my meal. I ordered blackened snapper. It was dry and overcooked. The other three were happy with their meal. I will probably go back and try it again.

   The service was outstanding..The appetizer of calamari was excellent as was the Thai clam Chowder.. unique taste,, so delicious. I ordered the blackened scallops! Cooked to perfection. My friend ordered fried shrimp.. all served timely and a great selection of cocktails and wine. Excellent choice !

   Sunday is free street parking and happy hour menu all day. The Thai chowder was excellent and a delightful surprise. The texture of New England clam chowder with Thai overtones. The beet salad was sublime. Served with a quinoa crunch the combination of flavors were great. I had the blackened snapper tacos. So good. The service was excellent too.

    Plank has decided not to take Rewards cards without chips, which let us down. They can easily check the legitimacy of these cards by calling a toll free number. Also, my wife’s salad was served well after our entrees arrived. We spent $500 with tip and our server wasn’t even that nice. The manager was less pleasant. Small portions and large prices aren’t a great combination, and the quarter-sized oysters were a disappointment. I love their food but won’t be returning.

    My food Shrimp was great My wife’s walleye was not up to the normal standards for Plank Kind of dry not a lot of flavor A drink was not given ice tea not a big deal But waiter seems tired and not engaged

    Plank was a place that my wife and friends used to love to go on date nights. A place that I sent my in-laws to for their anniversary dinner. Well CoVid messed that all up. This was our first time back since they introduced their new menu. I’ll describe it as “Asian-inspired”, lots of key asian words and ingredients without the follow through I would expect. The food was good, it was not exciting for what a $130 meal for two should have been. The service was lacking. Maybe because it was just the wife and I, but I had to get up and get my own forks after the waiter took ours after our appetizers.

    First time and the service was great. We had a reservation and we got there almost 45 minutes early and they were able to seat us right away. Beer was cold and good options, oysters were fresh and delightful. The main meal was standard, nothing that was different. The bacon wrapped shrimp was good, the grits were flavorful and accompanied the shrimp perfectly. The other shrimp dish we had was typical, again nothing special especially for the price. We had the Thai clam chowder and that was the best item of our meal, will definitely go back for that.

    Plank was a lovely dining experience. The beets and brussel sprouts were light and savory appetizers; the ahi tuna with noodles was amazing, the walleye was delicious. but the potatoes were a bit dry, and the snapper was tender. The pomegranate margarita was refreshing and the ambiance was vivacious. It is a bit pricey but worth it! The decor is tasteful as the food! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

    Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was hot, delicious and delicious. The noise level was a little loud, but we still were able to converse and loved the ambience. The golden beets were a real treat - would have never thought to put grapefruit with beets - they were delicious. Definitely will be back!
