I had the mushroom raviolo - the ravioli du jour - it was excellent. My husband had the bibimbap, also excellent. Everything seasoned very well, and filling. Had a chocolate cake that was dry, but honestly I was so full, that may have affected my appreciation of it.
The washroom area smelled unpleasantly, but the food and service was lovely. Nice use of space, light and airy decor. Healthy eating!
Spectacular restaurant right across from the London Central Library. Great food options, we'll prepared and fantastically awesome staff.
First time eating at Plant Matter Bistro. The food was fabulous. The staff were friendly and helpful. The raw chocolate cake for dessert was incredibly rich and delicious.
Great spot to eat. Would always recommend this spot. Make reservations for sure.
Plant Matter Bistro was amazing. The food was excellent, many delicious vegan options to choose from. I went with 3 non-vegetarian friends who were open to trying vegan food, and they all said their meals were great!
Such a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in the door right up to the time we left. Wonderful service, food and environment for a quick business lunch.
Love this place. Food is flavorful and vegan so I actually have choices I want to eat. My non vegan friend really enjoyed her food. Staff was professional and just the right amount of friendly. I do wish portions were bigger. I was still hungry after only eating an entree.
Plant Matters never disappoints. I would recommend to anyone.
We love this place. Cannot get enough - recommend highly to everyone
Twice I've been there for dinner and twice the food was very good, but the service was only mediocre. Nice variety of menu options, all plant-based, many gluten-free options, creative presentation. Would love to see a decent cabernet sauvignon added. If the service improves, I'd have no trouble giving this restaurant 4 stars.
The food was amazing as was the service. Lots of very creative dishes that even my non vegan husband thoroughly enjoyed. So happy to have high end plant based dinning here in London.
Amazing! Lovely staff, great vegan food, great atmosphere for a cozy date or dinner with friends!
The food was excellent! Lots of gluten free options. We went on a Friday night and it was very busy, there appeared to only be on server who was a bit overwhelmed keeping up with everything but she was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was great! Very fun! I'd go again!
Taste of the food was great. Food was fresh, hot, flavourful etc. The ambience was also lovely, and more of a dinner place than PMK. They did well with continuity between the two though, in terms of the way they are decorated. The service was timely (because we were the first table in for dinner) and the server kept our water glasses full and plates cleared (as we finished apps, bread etc). She was attentive BUT she was trying to awkwardly/inappropriately joke around with us which we were clearly uncomfortable with and unimpressed by. This experience would not deter me from coming here again because it was an individual incident but it sort of did make the dinner awkward.
Enjoyed, the food, service and atmosphere. The waitress was terrific and the food even better! Will return.
Was overall good place to Go, food was so flavorful service was a little slow but waitress was very friendly. Fair amount of options menu could offer a little more choices but the food was delicious and would go again. Prices are pretty comparable to other restaurants
Great vegan food in comfortable setting! The chocolate coconut cheesecake was so decadent! Service was also fantastic!
Service was tight, food was good too. Looking forward to Mike continuing to refine the dishes. Sandy was a delight as always. Will definitely be back.
We had a great time - it was difficult to decide on what to have because everything looked so fantastic. Great place to order a few things and share, and amazing vegan dessert. Fast, friendly, attentive service.
Very much enjoyed our dinner, even the two not so much into plant based food liked it without missing the meat.
One of the dishes (bibimbap) was a bit too salty due to the soy sauce, but overall was an amazing dinner.
Best restaurant I've been to in a long time. The ravioli was just as good as my Nonnas! They have incredibly welcoming staff also.
Wonderful food and service. Everything has great flavour, loved by vegans and meat lovers. Something here for everyone.
The food was awesome and service stellar. Always a wonderful experience.
The food, atmosphere and service were all wonderful. This was my second visit, but definitely not my last!! The chocolate cheesecake is the most wonderful cheesecake I've ever had and the other ones I've eaten, have not been vegan!!
Nice atmosphere, tables seem close-ish, but diners were seated at good intervals, so there wasn't too much conversation overflow from others. I had bi bim bap, and had forgotten that it can be a spicy dish. Fortunately, the hot spice was not overwhelming. It was okay, good, but not great. Next time, I'd try another dish. Really enjoyed having tea after the meal. Teapots are lovely, rooibos tea was great. I'd go back to dine with vegan friends, but am not in a rush for a return visit.
This place has great food: creative, delicious, very high quality ingredients. Happens to be vegan which is a big bonus for me. I will keep coming back and am already looking forward to my next meal there.
Had a family meal before the theatre, so a special occasion for us. First visit and really impressed overall! Outstanding filo wrapped vegan brie. The epanadas were a bit spicy for wife comfort level, but gets rave reviews from others. Hubby loved his bibimbap. Daughter and wife both had ravioli special. Very good, but agreed they would have preferred 2 giant ravioli and a vegan sausage over 3 ravioli pieces as it was a bit too much of a good thing. Dessert was literally the best cake we’ve ever eaten. An orange spice cake with walnut topping. Unique and amazing flavour! There was also a small side of sweet to tofu cream that we called a little taste of heaven. Simply too delicious to rate. Please put this cake on your regular menu - it’s to die for!! One drawback for us, we got there earli-ish and atmosphere was mellow, but as soon large table beside us arrived it became too loud for us to hear our own conversation. We will return again for the food.
All around one of my fav London restaurants and I’m not even a Vegan :) - give it a try you will enjoy.
Love the bistro! The service is really great and the food is amazing!
We found this gem of a restaurant on Open Table while in London from out of town. The food was amazing. The taquitos with roasted cauliflower was a most delicious appetizer and the pasta in a vodka rose sauce was probably the best sauce on a pasta that I have ever tasted. We had to stop to compliment the chefs. Absolutely excellent cruelty-free dining. Can't wait to return to London.
The food was outstanding and promptly made. Unfortunately the dessert (creme brulee) was not a hit and it was unfortunate that the last bite we had to eat was such a let down. My favourite part of the meal was definitely the baked brie, it was fantastic. Service was friendly, but we had made a reservation but the servers did not really acknowledge this (I reserved a high top table and they asked where I wanted to sit, even though I specifically made a reservation for this reason, seemed a little odd to me but nothing serious)
Went to PMB for a friend's birthday and had a great time! The food was delicious (we had the portobello mushroom, ravioli and gnocchi) and the service was fast and courteous. The vibe was good and the atmosphere warm and buzzing. Definitely a good spot to go to for a special night out.
We went for a casual lunch. There was only one vegan in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal. The food was hot; the service was friendly; and it's a lovely space. I would definitely recommend it.
It was a wonderful experience! We were on a date and it was our first time eating at the bistro.
Food was exceptional. As vegans it’s such a pleasure to enjoy so many wonderful options.
We will definitely be returning.
Worst service I have ever had. When we arrived they didn't have a table for us so we waited over 15 minutes. The manager apologizes and says they'll get apps for us and never comes back. Our server forgot to take one of the people at our tables order. Food takes over an hour to come out. My meal was wrong and missing ingredients. The only compensation I got was 25% off the item. These people do not understand good customer service or how to run a restaurant. Their decor looks like it could be a McDonald's. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
My non vegan/vegatarian, meat loving husband and I ate here Saturday night - we had carrot/ginger soup to start and the ravioli and the enchilada for our mains. Had to try the Crème Brûlée - everything was delicious and beautiful presented. We will be back!
While known for their vegan food, I am not a vegan and I can say the food was amazing. I didn’t miss the meat at all. Great flavour, lovely presentation and a good portion size. The waitress was excellent and it was a nice place to eat and have good conversation with a friend. Not too noisy. It has a high end feel but it’s still casual and comfortable. I do hope they get a liquor license but aside from that it was and awesome experience. I would (and likely will) go again.
I have literally nothing bad to say. Wish it was a bit more affordable but I am aware vegan/gluten free can be costly. Overall I left very happy with my experience. Can't to come back!
The meal quality and service was excellent.
Take this with a grain of salt as I am not a vegetarian. I made the supreme sacrifice to accommodate an out of town business associate.
The empanadas were great, the Caesar Salad I did not like and left most of it in the bowl, but the cashew based Creme Brule' was actually very, very good.
All in all it was "Good"; however expensive for a vegee burger from a non vegetarian's perspective. My associate will probably have rated this much higher.
Like I said take this with a grain of salt.
