My friend and I wanted to have veggie dinner, so I found this restaurant and tried some differ things. First the restaurant looked nice inside, but the tables were too close to other tables and it seem very crowded. It was also very noisy and my friend and I barely to hear each other when we were talking.

The food was ok, the price made no sense because when you ordered large plate in the menu and it came out small portion, when my friend ordered small plate in the menu, it seem more like an appetite instead of a entrée. So since the food not enough for us, we ordered 2 side order and less than $7 and it came out big portion!

Other than that, our waitress was a young girl, she seem no patience and rush us. And insulted us that tell us, think about it and I come back. She took all the menu and didn't bother to come back and ask.

Overall, it was a big experiences, I don't recommend to come back again.

We really enjoyed our meal at Planta. We are not vegan but had been told to try it. We were very pleasantly surprised. It was delicious, fresh and filling

Broad selection of plant based options. Nice environment - clean, modern. Great wine selection by glass and bottle. Server was polite and knowledgeable. Reason rating is not higher is they brought the apps and the mains at the same time and that makes for a poor dining experience, will probably try again and be specific to please not do that.

I love this restaurant and their creative vegan menu. The only problems I have was with the open table app - our reservation was for today but the system messed it up and the restaurant didn’t have it. We still got a table and it all worked out but I think there’s a glitch in the app. Different note- watermelon poke is amaaazzzzing

What a fine idea and the menu choices were quite interesting , creative and healthful. However, for my taste, too many of the offerings were frie ,obscuring the delicate flavor of the vegetables and obliterating the health benefits

The service and interior decor at Planta is great. A few of us got together after not seeing each other for years and had a great time, lingering over drinks without pressure to turn the table over. Although the food is inventive, my one criticism is that the portions are quite small to the point of feeling shortchanged. Out of four people, only the individual who ordered the carrot hot dogs was satiated at the end of the meal. We all had to dig into her remaining fries to fill our bellies!

Cool vibe and location. Food was bland. Unimaginative and over priced. I would not return. I’ve had way better vegatarian elsewhere.

Enjoyed our food. Sunday brunch menu a bit thin, would have liked to see more salads. My vegan daughter very impressed. Bit pricier than other lunch spots.

One of the pizza ordered was not as good as the second the dough on the botton was very soft & hard to eat, but still very tasty. Everything else was very much enjoyed.

The pizza was cold, not sufficiently baked, the tomato sauce flavour was off and dill on pizza is a sin!
Miso soup was a salt soup - three of us couldn’t finish it. Too much garlic in the Thai noodle dish was off-putting and it had a distinct sour flavour. The burger was fine but not special. Even the fries had some sort of flavouring that all of us disliked. Not one of the four could finish our meal and it cost us quite a bit!! No simple, fresh fare was available on the menu.

We had the coconut ceviche, spring rolls and a habibi S alad (cannot remember the name). The coconut ceviche was so skimpy on the plate it was embarrassing to try and share it - it also had no flavour (other than the nuts). The spring rolls were small and flavourless and the habibi salad was mostly lettuce with a tasteless dressing. The highlight was the tahini balls. If that is what plant food tastes like, I will happily be a carnivore! Rarely give bad reviews but this was a dud!

Planta never disappoints! Took my girlfriend who had heard about it but hadn’t yet been. We loved every bite! Shared 3 items and were quite satiated... only negative is how loud it is - that’s not servers fault or anything but sometimes we had a difficult time hearing one another

Popular spot, was packed (at around noon-2) just not a sport for me and my friends. Meant for Yorkville crowd, but I found that the food was meh - expectations were probably too high going into this place.

Had some "fancy" potatoes under small plates on menu (cannot find name on online menu, might've been something that included "hash" so I was expecting hash brown-style; server said was one of most popular but was really underwhelming... it was basically just chunks of potatoes with some toppings that are forgettable, clearly, because I don't remember them (wait, one was cilantro)), cauliflower tots. Large plates we shared included banana pancakes (weird aftertaste), burger (came with fries, also, weird smokey/ burnt aftertaste). Had crab cakes (definitely best thing we had) - refreshing and light tasting. Then chocolate terrarium for dessert (basically bowl of stuff, thought would at least be presented in a cool terrarium-like serving plate/ dish - photo included).

Trendy, neat furniture and cups (rose gold cutlery, fancy cups for water - which is probably why I was hoping for more with the terrarium). Not even like I don't like vegetarian/ vegan food - I LOVE food from Fresh (not Freshii). Again, lovely, high-end joint, wanted to check out based on recos from people who have been there but turned out to just not be for me.

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. Creative plant-based options. Love the pizza. Didn't have it this time. Truffle macaroni kept me full until the next the next day. Would like to see more creative veggie dishes.

Very nice meal with friends - all of our first time there. The crab cakes was our favourite. Everything was well executed, very fresh and good tasting ingredients.
The bottle of Cava we ordered didn't arrive until we were 1/4 way through our meal - so that was disappointing. I was looking around for a good 5 minutes trying to wave down anyone to help us locate our bottle. They did comp us an additional appetizer as an apology for the delay so that was appreciated. Not a lot of restaurants do that any more.
It was quite busy for a Monday evening, glad they are doing well as the previous Pangeaae seemed always empty!

Great food and service but far too noisy - especially for 5 people seated at a big table. Conversation impossible so we had to go some place else for coffee. Too bad as the food is very good and the staff young and competent.

The food was quite tasty and had creative vegetarian interpretations of traditionally non-vegetarian dishes. Service was a little lacking, as the brussel sprouts we ordered took much longer than everything else, in that we had finished the other three dishes and had to wait for the brussel sprouts to arrive. After the main meal, my friend also ordered a cappuccino that took much longer than expected, although in this case it was waived from the bill due to the wait. In summary: good vegetarian food but expect to wait.

What a fantastic evening. We dined for my mom's birthday, and absolutely loved everything. The food was delicious, highly recommend the "crab cakes", kimchi spring rolls, pizzas and particularly loved the lime avocado cheesecake. Alessandra was so warm and friendly, prompt and attentive. We left with big smiles, and a sheer feeling of delight. There are so many disappointing restaurants in this city, and this is miles away from being one. Thank you so much!

We ate dinner at Planta and it was so good we had to come back for lunch the next day. The menu is quite good, but what makes the food spectacular is that there is a little twist in each item, making it a delight, and a little surprising. For example we ordered the harvest salad, and found ourselves enjoying an elevated coleslaw with the most interesting ingredients, we ordered the spiced french fries and they tasted like BBQ potato chips (better than it sounds). All the dishes had some imagination that was left out of the written menu.

Our waitress at dinner managed to deliver friendly, relaxed, sociable service so perfect it would best fit a place that was twice the price. It takes a bit for service to impress me, but she did. Your mileage may vary.

The food was amazingly delicious and our server was incredibly helpful and delightful. I especially loved that the meals weren't overly oily (like many plant-based restaurants in the city). The dishes are flavourful and expertly created, they would appeal to everyone's dietary preferences. I love what Planta is doing for the plant-based scene in Toronto!

This was my sixth time at Planta. Everytime I go, the service improves - I realize that sounds horrible. But when they first opened, my first visit was a comedy of errors... except I wasn’t laughing ☹️ The food is stellar so I came back, to give them a second chance. This latest visit was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable, communicative, attentive and energetic. Highly recommended.
