Friday and Saturday: 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm
Meh. Reservation desk service: rude. We had a 9:30 pm reservation and she tried to sit us at the table right beside the front door that was terrible ... the table you hold for walk-ins. We refused. The noise level was ridiculous; crap club music. All patrons were yelling at one another and if you were sitting a few feet away it was impossible to hear. Ergo ... no table conversations. Wine selection: not available. Our first two choices (out of about 12 whites) were out. Really? The coconut appetizer was small and sad and came with some chips that had no business being part of that dish. The two pizzas we ordered were pretty good ... the Bianca and the Italian Job. But here’s the thing ... they don’t have ceramic plates ... they are melamine (plastic). The moment that happened I knew the place was doomed for me. If I wanted to revert to 1969 eating st someone’s cottage ... well ... I just don’t. Frankly there are better vegan dining options elsewhere.
Amazing restaurant. Love all the vegan choices. Save room for the dessert, brownie is amazing!!
The food and the service were both excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Great place to take a date or hang out with friends.
It took about ten minutes to be seated despite having a reservation, which was fine with me but could see that being a problem for someone else . Food was absolutely delicious and our server was so sweet! We got the cookie dough (which I don’t recommend at all) and she noticed we didn’t like it so she didn’t charge us for it and gave us a truffle each instead. Very sweet gesture- I really appreciated that. Overall great experience!
Creative and delicious vegan food served by a smiling waitress. Wonderful experience!
Very impressed with our waitress.
The dish we ordered was far to spicy for us. Two bites in we were done.
Our waitress at no charge to us credited the dish and comped us a pizza.
She was very insistent as she wanted us to be happy with our meal.
Went with my mom and roommate, delicious food, the waitress knew the menu very well and gave ya good recommendations, and the drinks were really good
Hi! We were celebrating our daughters 21st Birthday today. Our daughter Mary has visited Planta a few times and loves it.
The staff is very personable and the service was nothing short of outstanding. Our server was so sweet and so accommodating and surprised Mary with a scrumptious chocolate brownie.
The menu is so delicious and a wide selection on the menu. In short, something for everyone and it packs a punch. Yummy!
The interior design is so beautiful and we enjoyed the 80s soundtrack in the background.!
We will be back soon!
Caroline and Brian Keane
Always fabulous food and great vibe. Wonderful service.
Great experience, atmosphere! However lot of the food options were small/lacked flavor
Food and service was great ! I will definitely go back. Being a vegetarian It’s nice to finally have somewhere to eat where you can literally eat anything on the menu. Thank you planta for a great nice and friendly service!
Had a reservation and waited 20 min for a table
Multiple food items were missing
Worth the 2 hour drive every time. They never disappoint
It was very loud, the service was a bit slow. The food is yummy! And the decor of the restaurant is stunning
I had the Planta Burger and it was outstanding. I am a devout meat eater and I would still come back and order this sandwich as it is as tasty as a meat burger. The fries were delicious as well. The care taken with the food and the attention to detail means tasty, delicious and health food.
The service at this restaurant is consistently bad. My wife and I are vegan. We started eating here because it was the local vegan restaurant. But the service is terrible, and there is a new restaurant down the road from us called Rosalinda that is far better in terms of both food and service. I would take friend and colleagues for business dinners, but after last night those days are officially done.
Enjoyed the food so much I went back within 48 hours!! Noise level is high. Club music could be tuned down to some smooth jazz or calmer tunes.
Vegan option was great and good vibe on a Friday evening.
Love Planta, the food is outstanding! I have been there 5 times and never get tired of eating there :)
Love this place! Looking forward to our next visit.
Incredible!! My favourite restaurant of all time! Creative, delicious, original! The best vegan restaurant in Toronto!
The food and the imagination of the chef are marvellous. I never knew vegan could taste so good and have so many options! The wine list, while not extensive, was impressive. The young lady who looked after us was friendly and very helpful
Excellent creative food completely drowned out by the overbearing loud bass electronic music. Not running back for that reason.
Food was good. Service good. Drinks good. Decor and ambiance good. Food is a bit outrageous in price IMO. I don't mind paying more for food, but I would have expected a bit more in terms of plating or something.
It really is amazing what they can do with vegan food. We had the tacos (a bit spicy), coconut ceviche, cauliflower tots, eggplant parm, stuffed mushrooms, Parmesan frites, key lime cheesecake and birthday cake dough.
A very hip place, with it's own DJ. Much fancier than most vegan restaurants I've been to. It was pretty loud, but it's okay because you get used to it quickly. The food was great and I would definitely recommend the planta burger. I wish there was a more upscale vegan restaurant like this one where I live.
Great place but a little loud - great food and speedy service always getting water ! Much appreciated!
The food was amazing, like nothing I have ever tasted before. Hands down the best vegan restaurant in Toronto... The burger is to die for. Highly recommended!!
The main courses were delightful flavorful nice mix of flavors and well put-together, the desserts were a little less spectacular but overall it was a wonderful meal.
Best vegan food menu in the city. Great friendly service . Great atmosphere.
Best vegan meal ever. I definitely recommend this amazing restaurant.
We came when Planta first opened and the food - flavours, freshness and creativity continue to be outstanding!
Excellent dining experience however my wife found the veggie burger unremarkable and the fries too salty. The mushroom caps very great. My eggplant lasagna was amazing. Waitstaff very friendly and attentive.
Excellent vegan choices. Made the trek with a colleague from the financial district, we both thought it was worth it. Suggest opening a branch in Bankland!
We shared a number of dishes, from starters to salads to pizza and dessert. All were excellent and we each had a different favourite.
Everything was great, but a dessert (coconut passion fruit yoghurt) was quite different than during my previous visit - more watery, with chia seeds not as plump. It was still good, but the thicker version is better! Also, consistency and predictability is nice when ordering.
The music was way too loud and quite cringey. The desserts used to be big enough to share but aren’t anymore which sucks. I would never go again during a time that I knew there would be a DJ, it ruined my night out, we couldn’t hear each other at all over the depressing oldies. If I wanted to listen to wedding music while I ate I would have opened all my cousins’ wedding invitations.
Excellent food, service and decor. All expectations exceeded but the noise level was too high.
Great plant based restaurant! Our server helped us with the menu as we had further restrictions. Great food, great selection, great atmosphere!
I was excited to go to planta since I had heard great things and am vegetarian. I thought the food was good, decently flavourful but far to overpriced for the final product and the dishes were not very original (little “wow I would not have been able to make this at home” factor).
Construction was loud but food was good
