The food is amazing and the service friendly and attentive. Had a great time!
The food and atmosphere were great! The only down side is its a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.
Delicious food and very accommodating service!
Excellent family dinner at Planta after the Ballet.
Good choice of dishes and especially loved the cauliflower tots and pizza. Mocktails for children were excellent. Everyone in the family was happy with this choice of restaurants.
I was very pleased with my experience at Planta in terms of the food but was very disappointed with the trouble to honour reservations. My friend and I rushed over to Planta to ensure we would be there on time for our reservation but were kept waiting for 25 minutes before we were seated...what is the point of a reservation then? Every person who walked in ended up waiting an average of 25-35 minutes for their table, this was extremely disappointing.
We love Planta for its delicious vegan food, friendly service and energy. It’s a very safe place for my wife, who has an extreme fish and seafood allergy, to eat.
The food and service were exceptional. Thank you.
Loved all the vegan options but found the seating too close together and the music not suitable for a dinner. More of a casual lunch spot, however, quite pricey.
Food was great. Good portions. Loud at times to hear across the table when the restaurant was full. Second time there. Would go again.
Great vegan menu and gorgeous restaurant
I have dined at Planta twice and both experiences were wonderful, thank you!
I have told family & friends how much I enjoyed the food, service & ambience.
I will be back☀️
Wonderful Food! Everything on the menu looked tempting so....we tried a couple of the smaller plates to share as appetizers. For the mains, we tried different pizzas - both were excellent. Very flavourful and nice chewy thin crust. Service was attentive, just right!
Servers and hostess picking up the phone needs some extra training. Food was delicious.
Just love it. Being gluten-free & dairy-free it's not always easy to eat out. But this place makes it a no brainer. The variety of foods is amazing and everything is just so tasty.
Food is delicious...whenever I order a latte it always takes a long time for it to come out.
I LOVED this place. It is an absolute gem for vegans and vegetarians alike. I told my friends this was the first time i could look at a gourmet/mainstream food menu and basically order anything. The food was varied and diverse, artistically presented, was flavourful and felt so wholesome. I loved everything we ordered from the cauliflour and stuffed mushroom and kale caesar appetizers to the pizzas to the chocolate mousse dessert.
It became a bit noisy as the night wore on, but I would tolerate almost anything to not have bacony, fishy, meaty smells around me. Please open one in Scarborough!
This is my second time this week!!! Anytime someone wants to try “something different” this where I take them. Perfect not just for vegans.
If you are vegan - you may enjoy Planta.
Regardless, not the most satisfying food and experience, for example - lox bagel = grocery store quality bagel, hummus and a few veggies for $$
Drinks are great, tacos and pizza the best pick from looking around
Great food great service a little loud but cool
We had the cheese plate to start, and this really ruined the entire experience. For $25 this is an insulting joke. Maybe 3 tbsp of cheese, a giant pile of mustard, a few tiny pickles and some dabs of applesauce, all to be consumed with four little crostini. The mains have become very boring and unimaginative. Pizzas are wildly overpriced given their simplicity. I don't think I will be going back. I can go to Awai for the same price and receive far better food which is creative and satisfying for the same price level.
Upon arrival we have been told “we are behind schedule and it will be a 20-25 minute wait”.. this was the first time we had to wait this long even though we had a reservation! The food was okay, not as great as some other vegan restaurants in my opinion.
They tried to make up the wait with a free appetizer which was a nice gesture! Overall was not a place to return back to.
Pricey, but good quality ingredients. Would definitely return some day.
Great food. Loud for conversation. Nice interior design.
took us an hour to get our food when every table around us, that came in after us, was served before us.... a bit disappointing.
Good but music loud for 10:45 am on Sunday
We have been here more than 10 times in the last couple of years and it never disappoints. The food is great, the atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly.
The food and service were exceptional - Thank you! Great environment too.
wonderful vegan food in convenient location in Toronto.
Very very tasty. Last Tuesday was the second time I went in a fortnight. Had the same dish again: Habibi salad. The second time, also had the crispy tofu appetizer. BOTH TIMES I was VERY thirsty for hours afterwards, which was unfortunate since I was out shopping and walking. 4:30 pm...still thirsty when I got home and slugged back a load of water!
The waitress didn't listen to our order (which I gave twice), so she didn't bring my salad, only my friend's $29 charcuterie plate as our "second course". At 1:20 and after only one piece of tofu, I had to ask my friend several times to please share her plate with me. To her credit, the waitress did expedite my salad.
The waitress forgot my friend's wine: we had to ask for it after she brought the second/charcuterie plate. My friend had wanted to enjoy two glasses of wine during our lunch (and I wasn't drinking so I didn't care), so the resto lost out this time lol
Finally since we had shared the appetizer, the waitress brought only 1 bill. Lazy and irritating since my friend spent way more than me (the bill came to $85) and it was confusing to sort out who owed what.
Nonetheless, the food was absolutely tasty. My friend plans to bring her husband to the resto. I trust the tastiness wasn't partly or mainly due to the salt :) I am very health-oriented and avoid salt when I can, so I'm sensitive to salt when there's a load of salt at a Thai restaurant or whatever. I guess that vegan doesn't mean healthy....?
I sent the resto an email about the salt a few days ago, but received only an acknowledgement, nothing further hence this review.
I am vegetarian and had been looking forward to dining at Planta. Unfortunately the restaurant did not offer me an enjoyable experience. The wait staff were friendly however service was incredibly rushed which made it difficult to relax. It felt like we were dining at a fast food joint. The food was bland with little flavour. My stuffed mushrooms were rubbery with a mushy filling and the Thai salad lacked spice and texture.
Fort Time being here during the day and the vibe is completely different. At night, the lighting and crowd really shine. During the day it was just meh.
Planta is a wonderful environment. The music is always good, the drinks are on point and well priced.
The FOOD is mind blowing delicious. I would recommend and have to anyone who likes good food, vegan or not.
I'm so glad that this restaurant exist :)
Wonderful to have an upscale vegan restaurant in the city.
Can be loud. Well located.
Love the ambiance, service was good, I’ve been to the Planta Miami location and food was very good there, I only found the food to be moderate here. Favourite dish was definitely the queso dip!
Horrible service and overpriced and a hair was in my food
Jamie was my server and was as awesome as the food.
Food was exceptional!! We loved it. We will definitely be back again and again.
This is an amazing vegetarian/vegan restaurant with gourmet dishes. Everything was delicious and fresh. We arrived on time and our table was not ready. The hostess recommended we have a seat at the bar, but there was no room. They seated us within 15 minutes and made up for it with an amuse bouche free of charge. The service is very slow. I don’t know if it’s slow in the kitchen, the bar or there’s not enough waiters/waitresses but the drinks were really slow coming out and out meal seemed to last a long time. We didn’t get everything we ordered until 2 hours after we arrived. Overall, a great place but they need to pick up the pace.
Love love Planta, I come here all the time. Was a bit disappointed in the brownie that we ordered. It was not warm and a bit dry. When we asked for more chocolate sauce, we got about a penny size :) Everything else was outstanding!
