Absolutely outstanding food, great theatre and superbly attentive staff. Everyone was knowledgeable and made the night fantastic. The location, food quality and portion sizes made the overall cost incredibly good value. The snacks and chocolates to finish were superb. The lamb was perfectly cooked, and the fact that the chef team went out of their way to cook two bespoke dishes to cater for those with allergies in our party was fantastic.

Lovely evening from start to finish. The food was exquisite and the service impeccable. I only marked it down by a notch as we arrived early, went to the bar, but struggled to get a drink served. Would be lovely to think this would become an all year round dining option. Bravo and thank you!

Best meal of my life and if I could have licked the plates clean I would have. Tom’s food is not just different, it’s bloody tasty. We’ll be visiting Story in London very soon. Thanks for making our 1st wedding anniversary extra special.

Unbelievable food service and ambience. Can’t be a better place to eat in Cornwall. Tom and his team continue to excel every time we visit. The view alone is something special, coupled with the food and you have a culinary masterpiece. Something tells me Story by The Sea may well be getting a star if the inspectors come before they leave!

An outstanding dining experience produced by a world-class team at the top of their game. We feel privileged to have experienced Story during it's residency at Carbis Bay. The Tasting Menu was beautifully crafted, celebrating locally sourced ingredients, with stunning variations on ingredients including corn and leek that showed a unique style and attention to detail. The wines were sublime, and the panoramic view over Carbis Bay watching seals, and gannets diving was breathtaking. One for the golden memory bank - thank you Team Story by the Sea! Bill and Katie
