Nice outdoor rooftop patio, some really great beer on tap.
I would definitely recommend Polar Park brewing! They have great food, beer selection, service and a gorgeous patio.
Awesome off-Whyte Ave location, beautiful old brick building with tons of character. Amazing sunlit upper floor patio, or if you’re dining indoors, the most beautiful floor to ceiling windows allow tons of light and are great for people-watching. Diverse mix of music selections played in the background, everything worked together to set the scene for our girls nite out! Server Ethan was very attentive, recommended many different Polar Park craft beers, and ALL were DELISH (and I don’t love beer!) The menu was a perfect balance between hearty & healthy (delish burgers paired with UNREAL Buffalo cauliflower wings, or a very nice charcuterie board for sharing) This place nailed it. Go there. And then go back again.
The beer is fantastic, but a little pricey. I usually like a ceasar to start, but not for $15. Eeeek! Otherwise, love that place so much. One of my favourite patios.
I continue to be very impressed with everything offered at Polar Park Brewing Co. It starts with the beer, Polar Pilsner, is my favorite and keeps going with the food. The Cauliflower Wings were spectacular!!!!
We did not eat here this time, but have in the past. The overall experience was great - what could be better than sitting on a comfortably sunny patio having a beer!
Best craft beer in Canada. Unique, sensational branding, 6 on tap, take away beer, and spectacular food. Building is incredible and one of the best patios (raised south facing) in the city.
There were only four beer to choose from and we could not get a growler filled. They said they were cleaning their lines! We were there on a Thursday which in my opinion should be a busy night. Why would you not clean your lines on a Monday or Tuesday when you are closed to the public. Overall, not up to par with other breweries that we have been to. We won’t go back.
The falafel burger was great and the skinny fries delish! I had the flight of beers and really liked the ARCHIPELAGO.
Stopped by for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! If was, quite frankly, outstanding! The beer was excellent as well. We even ended up taking home a few cans and growlers! We will definitely be back again! Just so great!!
Made a reservation days in advance but they didn’t even have a table prepared for our party and acted confused when I said I had made a reservation... they then sat us at a makeshift table right near the entrance during a -30 degree evening, despite there being ample space in the other areas. After getting blasted by cold air multiple times within a couple minutes of being sat, we requested to move and they accommodated, which is good, but seemed like poor practice to sit us there in the first place.
The service was inexplicably slow for how busy it was — it took 20 minutes to get water. Food was disappointing especially considering the positive reviews of the food we had read. Overall, I am rooting for Polar Park because a brew pub is great addition to the area, but I can’t imagine me going back — money would be better spent at a Situation, Campio, etc.
Service was ok at best - sat for 15 min without being acknowledged. Ordered drinks, then reordered those drinks because the server forgot, then reordered one of the drinks again because the service didn’t bring one.
Food was great! The short rib was amazing, the cauliflower was perfect and burger was a hit.
Beers were great, good selection!
Food was ok
Oatmeal stout was good.
Not much atmosphere about the place.
Seemed like we were sitting in an empty space.
A really good family dining experience. They were so great with the kids.
Roasted cauliflower was surprising, different, and over time better with every bite - the end was a nicely balanced dish of aioli, spice, smote and pop (from the pomegranate), perhaps the finishing on the cauliflower was a touch on the clumsy side but easily forgivable given the attempt of creation. The beets were simple but very tasty and fresh, with the right balance of ingredients to let them shine. The poutine was pretty good, still like DOSC version as top in city, but this was a contender - it could use a few more curds though, which would tick it up a few notches. The pasta was the highlight of the meal, there were two choices red or meat and the pasta prepared fresh daily so type rotates. warm, rustic, well balanced and deep but not complicated in it's execution, perhaps the best pasta dish I've had in Alberta. Maybe it's just my tastes, but I thought it was excellent and takes you to a place few chefs can reach. I never got a chance to compliment the chef but he/she deserves some praise.
The ambiance I wasn't as big on I found it a bit confusing and doesn't really cater to a dining experience, it's more an afternoon bar with a fair degree of noise. The room is not really divided and the layout seems a little squashed. At the end of the day I would return for a meal but probably a late afternoon lunch rather than an evening dinner out. Overall the kitchen is a good and welcome addition to the brewery, and the brewery a welcome addition to Edmonton. Endurance and the Stout were my favourite beers btw. Cheers
Great beer. Great food!
