   Good was very poor, manager so nothing to make guests comfortable. Server was sweet but forgetful. Beautiful pool though Recommend if you don’t eat and don’t expect anything more than a beautiful pool

   We were expecting a fun girls day at the pool. However a kids birthday party was going on the same time. We would have been wished to be notified of this, as it seemed like a more adult only setup from the online pictures and descriptions. Their website says “pretend you are in Malibu for the day” Instead we had to listen to 20 six year old children screaming nonstop for 3 hrs and weren’t able to use the pool at all during our afternoon, because they took over the whole area. We were really disappointed. The food was really good and our waitress was good. However we were surprised the staff didn’t even apologize for such an unpleasant experience or try to make our time better.

   Great place! First time here, and we will be back. Loved the food and the ambiance—lighting and music plus indoor fires. A little treasure tucked away that you wouldn’t know about. Highly recommend.

   Service was terrible.. waited forever for food and drinks, I think our 1st server was more concerned about finishing her shift that she didn’t even write down our order correctly. Found the pool to be cooler than expected.

   It was somewhat enjoyable on all fronts. The service was excellent. Because of the dinnerware and cutlery needing to be plastic or paper at a poolside setting, the meal presentation was not particularly elegant. However, what was not pleasant, was the extreme heat. We came for brunch in our street clothes but because people are swimming and lounging in the pool area where we also dined, we were quite hot and left early.

    Fun concept, but food really is a light “poolside menu” and it’s a bit awkward eating and drinking while hotel guests are swimming. Bottom line is it’s a fun idea but very casual.

    Hotel Arts has the only pool in Calgary where you can casually drink champagne on a Wednesday afternoon. It’s fabulous!

    The pool is much smaller than it appears in pictures. If you go after 6pm the pool is fully shaded so it’s almost too cold to swim even when it was 28 degrees out. The music is super loud so its hard to converse without yelling. The food and drinks are quite pricy for what you get but the cocktails were tasty and the food was good, just plan on spending at least $20 on one dish and $12 per drink. Also, the pool is not rooftop. It is on the same level as the lobby.

    When we arrive the was no seat even tho we made a reservation. They wanted to seat us on seat that was dirty. There was hair in my water. Food that was advertised on the menu was not available.

    We had a table reserved for 1:45, we arrived at 1:40 and were seated, the server told us food service poolside ends at 2pm, and restarted at 4pm So we needed to order quickly - we were ready to place our order at 1:45 at which time she came back to the table to advise that the kitchen was closed early at 1:30 and we could not order any food. There were no other restaurants open in the hotel so we could not have lunch there and had to leave and go elsewhere. I spoke to the manager who was not very apologetic, and told me that it was clearly stated all over their website, that food was not available between 2-4pm. After spending 15 mins searching their website I did find a small blurb saying this, but it was by no means clearly indicated ALL over their website like he said. I booked our table through open table and it is NOT indicated anywhere on the Open Table info about the restaurant. I did not search the hotel website thoroughly before we went so I didn't know this. It was super disappointing after we have had this reservation for 2 weeks and were really looking forward to it. Also the pool roof cover was on, and it was a hot sunny day, middle of summer, but there was no sunshine to be had beside the pool, this was also disappointing. When I enquired about why the roof was closed, the manager indicated they just hadn't got around to opening it yet. Don't go to Hotel Arts poolside expecting to have a sunny experience between 1:30-4pm :(

    Made reservation - called to say we were running 5 -10 mins behind. The front desk made sure to remind us that that the would cut into our 2 hour limit. When we got there - it was completely empty ( we were the ONLY ones there! Then told us that we could order food until 2pm we got there at 12:40. Common sense goes a long way - but the staff at hotel arts seems to be lacking it. Why would they not suggest that we could order some food from the Bistro attached and bring it in - or even just take the order for us? Why would we have a table limit of two hours if the pool and all the tables were completely empty? I absolutely love this place - I feel as though there is a lack of caring.

    Food at Hotel Arts poolside was just okay. We tried a few different things. The fondue pizza was very bland, not at all cheesy which just seemed weird because the description sounded so decedent with all the different types of cheese, but it was dry and not a hint of truffle mornay as was described. We tried the twice cooked fries but they were somehow soggy and so oversalted we couldn't eat them. They came with a lemon aoli which tasted too much like a sweet lemon custard, very strange combo. The dressing on the artisan greens was good, but the greens themselves were sad, very wilted and turning. We tried the mushroom arancini which was pretty good. The vibe in the pool area was nice, it was warm and relaxing. Overall, don't come for the food, come for the pool atmosphere with the fire table and a nice cocktail or glass of wine.

    the pool area was very hot and uncomfortable. The service was slow and not very friendly. My omelet had almost no fillings, they forgot the sauce, had to wait for her to get me some and my food got cold. The entire experience was disappointing.

    We were served by someone named Alejandro. He ruined our event and ruined our family members bday. The entire evening he was rude and rolling his eyes and sending our food over 1.5 hour after ordering. The food was terrible and the service was even worse. The pool is very very cold and not heated like it was advertised. The pool also has no change rooms. No showers. No clothes dryers. No robes. You cannot even wash yourself off after using the pool with multiple bodies and chlorine. It is not at all worth visiting. Save your time and go to a proper Place. Do not order from poolside. We were a large group, we all ordered different items. At the end when we asked for our bills they told us their system won’t allow them to split it. They made us all pay equal amount when someone ordered barely anything and others ordered a lot. Also they did not tell us the bill was autograted and we ended up paying 35-45% tip for garbage service. And to make things even worse They refused, yes REFUSED to give us our bills so we could look at them. No one got a bill and paid without even seeing what we were paying for. A few people it was against their religion to drink or pay for alcohol and were forced to pay for alcohol. Spoke to management who also didn’t give us copy of bill and told us to go ahead and place reviews. Clearly they don’t care about negative reviews especially in a place everyone checks the reviews before coming in. We were offered solutions but the solution was taking too long and too much inconvenience. A solution is not supposed to make it more inconvenient it’s supposed to make the blow a bit less.

    Do not go here. Worst service. Worst food. Even worse management. There are no showers no sanitizer. The pizza was burnt. The pool was cold. The make you pay without letting you see the bill. Also overcharged us which I’m pretty sure would be considered fraud. We are going to report them to better business bureau. You refuse people to see their bill before paying.

    Although it started out great the way the evening ended left a bad taste in our mouth. We were there as a group for a birthday. There were 10 of us and 4 of us were fasting and unable to eat until 830. We socialized and kept company with our friends. We ordered some food to eat in time to break our fast and then it came out very late. Took almost an hour. We were easy going about that but then at the end of the night the server told us we must split our bill evenly with the whole group. Normally that would be fine but we did not want to pay for alcohol and also the rest of the group had been eating/drinking for 4 hours so had ordered much more than us. I asked to have at least our 4 separate and we could split that evenly and was denied even though we knew exactly what we ordered and could have helped. We ordered everything at the se time and only ordered once that night, so had we been informed we would not be able to have ours separate we would have asked for it to be separate right then and made it easier for everyone. No one was given a bill, the process of splitting it was literally moving items to different seats and trying to get an even amount per seat rather than dividing the total by 10. So it would have been just as easy to just pull over our items. Also because no bill was given and people we're not told about auto grat so they double tipped. I feel like all this could have been avoided with proper communication from the staff.

    Service was ok , not super friendly. Reservations were smooth . Atmosphere was great . Some food was great some was mediocre. Mostly our food was tasty however wasn’t warm /hot enough . All in all it was a nice , fun experience .

    It was an event, they had a DJ. That’s why we went. The DJ was great. Service was ok. Started off slow, got better has the evening went on. It’s a weird vibe because it’s a bar. A pool party vibe maybe. But hotel guests can go. So your trying to catch a good vibe but little girls are jumping in the pool. I feel like this place is having an identity crisis.

    Planned my 26th bday there. My friend got yelled at for setting up my decorations. We got yelled at for leaving to our ROOM WE PAID FOR to change a tampon. We were treated like absolute garbage the entire time and even for given a room that smelt like old food and HAD BAD FOOD IN THE FRIDGE!! Overall a terrible experience.
